Both of these artists are great singers, and Bart did his best to make the song his own after paying respect to the original artist and writer of the song. Some of these comments are not really appropriate. It’s not a competition of “which version is better”. It’s an homage to a great song.

this is such a sad song but so true in my life right now. it's sad when you have to leave and you don't want to go. even though you know it's not working you still have to go for yourself . my house creeks and moans with all she has heard and seen. it sad to walk away something you wanted and believed in. I have learned you can't make someone love you enough to just say please don't go.

If you guys like their version you should look up Gregory's version. It's much more folksy than this one, but it's just as much, if not more, touching to me.
As a huge fan of Bart crow, I have to say, that girl completely stole the show
RaiderGraf It was meant for her to "steal the show", in a sense. She has an amazing voice. Bart obviously saw huge talent with her. This song is perfect...and it's meant to have her show her talent. Perfect mix of both voices. I loved it.

Not better, it’s usually pretty tough to trump the actual songwriter...unless you’re Johnny Cash. You do, however, have to be respectful of the original - and this one clearly is not.
