- This add on Tutorial is a follow up on Steve's excellent introduction video: • IL2 1946 VL Myrsky II How to install the Myrski to your modded version of iL2 (VP modpack) tutorial. Steves video has the aircraft download link on his video description of the Myrski. To install download the Myrsky aircraft file. Then open with 7zip or other file compression app. Go to the games main file directory and open the #SAS folder. Then place the Myrsky aircraft file folder into the #SAS folder. Open the Myrski file folder and sub-folder then open the readme file with wordpad and copy the air.ini text line: VL_MyrskyII air.Myrsky_II 2 NOINFO f01 SUMMER
While in the #SAS directory perform a search for: air.ini then open the air.ini file with wordpad and add: VL_MyrskyII air.Myrsky_II 2 NOINFO f01 SUMMER under the various aircraft list, save then start your game you should then be able to use the Myrski in the Quick Battle Generator. For a B.A.T. mod version add the Myrski to the #WAW3 folder and add the planes air.ini line to the plane list as described above.

I paid attention to "Desktop icons". There are various games.
1465 supersensitive yes super 4 versions of iL2 1946 and Battle of Stalingrad. Also DCS world and Falcon 4 BMS for jets.

If your mouse has a wheel, with the cursor placed in a box having a drop-down list (such as weapons, skins, etc.), just roll the wheel to quickly cycle through the available entries therein. Good for reviewing all of what's present. In this way you don't have to do the more time-consuming click/select action, unless of course you're looking for a known entry well down in a long list. ;)

Yes sir add the download Myrski file to your #WAW3 and add the aircraft line to the air.ini under various aircraft I was just flying it in B.A.T. a very nice add on to the game. Let me know if you get it running.

Holy shit dude I loved this how are you so good at flying lol this seems so much more in depth compared to like ace combat lol it’s crazy to see how much patience it takes to actually win in a dog fight now if u take damage will it effect how ur plane flys like can certain things get disabled on ur plane???
If you really want to see some good flying check out one of Primes AH video. Thanks for the props you get good at a game when you play it for over 10 years :) patients yes you got to work the throttle and not stall the plane out. I got owned many times but dont give up just keep at it .
Hi, the one I downloaded comes with a file called patch, I don't know where to put it. When I add the Name of the plane to air.ini, it takes me out
Eduardo the file goes into your mods folder #SAS or #WAW3 the newest B.A.T. updates include the Myrsky.
how come only this aircraft works, I tried downloading other aircraft and followed the same exact steps but it either crashes my game or is invisible, I did some tooling around, is there such thing as modded aircraft only for certain mod applications?

yo how can i add skins on planes
Place them into your games PaintSchemes/Skins folder. You can download some here: www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/board,102.0.html download and unzip using: www.7-zip.org/download.html unzip and place into the skins folder with the same aircraft type. Start the game and you should be able to change your planes look. Let me know if this helps. Also look for tutorial on IL2 skins (search)
when i start flying my aircraft goes towards up side automaticaly :(

@@PatrickJamesBeckett While in flight let go of the controls hit the game pause key P view your aircraft from the F2 look at your controls that are off. Use the trim keys to level out your aircraft in flight. You may have to map your trim keys on the control options esc key to go into the options. Let me know how it goes.

I got a problem on my vp modpack 4.12.2m 5.3 when i put a plane pack like bf 109 pack of seawolves the game will crash at 60%
a 60 pct game crash means you need to add your plane packs line information to the air.ini file so open your plane pack files somewhere you should see a readme word file open it should be a notepad file and should have your added planes listed it may look like this: Bf-109E-4 air.BF_109E4 2 g01 SUMMER copy the entire line text of your added 109 pack aircraft. The right click on your il2 desktop game icon select open file location then select the #SAS folder then in the right hand search box type in air.ini (hit the enter key) open the air.ini file found in the search open it scroll down to the bf109's and paste in your add on 109's save the word file then re start your game should be good to go. It seems like alot of work but its actually easy once you get the hang of it you can add on individual aircraft etc. let me know how it goes. If you do not wish to mess with it go back into your #SAS folder and delete the 109 add on folder for the plane pack and re start your game it will run again. The 60 pct game crash is from new plane objects missing in the air.ini list. Let me know how it goes.
Also do not overwrite any aircraft on your current air.ini file or you will have the same 60 pct game crash problem. just add in the new lines save and restart game.
