Dorian's Mask Persona was the closest to the comic book version but other than that his transformation was pretty cool like instead of spinning like a tornado a black lightning cloud emerges.
Dorian was closer to the comic book version.
Spared by the Cut: Peggy Brandt sells out Stanley to Dorian, foolishly believing he wouldn't hurt Stanley despite knowing he's a mobster. In the theatrical cut, she disappears from the movie entirely after Dorian captures Stanley. *In the original version,* however, Dorian throws her into the printing press and kills her, *commenting beforehand that she'll be front page news - and so she is:* The papers that emerge from the press have suspiciously red ink, a photo of her screaming, and a headline announcing she died in a bizarre accident.
Something tells me that that “red ink” isn’t really red ink…
should have kept that version in
I don't think Peggy really believed that Stanley wouldn't be harmed. She pretended to object purely to assuage whatever conscience she has left, but she had to know the consequences of her actions. I'm torn on whether her death was really worth including. It was a good example of Dorian's callously brutal sense of humor, and the viewer wants some justice for Peggy's evil betrayal, but the way the movie handles her death (necessary by the in-universe logic of the Mask) comes off as the movie being flippant and cold-blooded rather than Dorian. It's probably for the best that it was filmed and available as a cut scene, but not in the theatrical cut, but I could easily be persuaded otherwise.
Yea I was wonder to where she went to
Chuck Russell revealed that a lot of money was saved on special effects after Jim Carrey was cast. Carrey's body movements were so flexible and cartoonish, they didn't see the need to enhance them digitally
A little bit
Now I can’t tell if you copy and pasted the same comment I saw before I saw this said video or the actual development of it.
Actually there were no special effects to Jim’s character, he really just did all that
@@VainFriggusI could never understand why Dorian’s eyes glowed but Stanley’s eyes didn’t
The best set-up scene! We see Peggy slightly changing from her bubbly character, Dorian attempts to kill Stanley and he transforms into the Mask!
Also, if you noticed the transformations of Stanley and Dorian are different, Stanley's transformation is based on Looney Tunes hyperactive personality where he's good at being a nice guy with a sense of humor and Dorian's transformation is dark and has a "god of underworld" vibe to his modern day villain personality.
@@taajwarpope2708 I’ve noticed that before as I’ve seen this movie. But I have to say, Dorian is a better Mask antagonist than Loki
@@taajwarpope2708That part was obvious to anyone who saw the movie.
I’m so glad Dorian’s ghost didn’t appear in the animated series because kids would have been terrified.

You said you wouldn’t hurt him.
I lied.
It's a unexpected good twist when Peggy seemed like the right one for Stanley, which she wasn't and Tiana is the seductive thief working for Dorian, who wanted to get out of the Con Artist game.
YES! But also in the years since I saw the movie, I've sometimes noticed that a girl who appears (superficially) to be the good wholesome type is a fake like Peggy is. Usually not, but people aren't always what they appear to be.
Kenneth Copeland does a phenomenal job on the stage of Faith and infront of Hollywood cameras.
😆😆😆😆 underrated comment
This comment 🤣🤣😅
Peter Greene Become The Evil Mask
Dude turned into Kenneth Copeland
Love the soundtrack!
Dorian: Stanley? Tell me, how's his mask work?
Stanley: I don't know. You just... *PUT IT ON!!!*
Dumbest question to ever ask.
That's just how masks work; you put them on.
Cillian Murphy was in the movie? As the villain? Damn
Thats not him
@@josevenerelizaga254 I think he was joking.
😆😆😆😆 joke or not, I gotta admit that I see the resemblance
Imagine what a meeting would be like between Dorian with the mask and Loki as the son of the mask.
Another great scene @MOVIECLIPS when that lady sold Stanley aka jim to the bad guy at first I was like oh damn lol this lady would betray jim for money of course and just why like could've just asked jim for money aka the villains money but eh it's a film can't always wish a alternative story or plot :D
I thuought this movie would have been on movieclips years ago
I think it did It just only had a few before
Nice
This scene reminds me of Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo gets betrayed by Lando in Cloud City.
Uh oh
Your telling someone who owned that mask for weeks and don’t know how. Does the mask need manual instructions to come with it

@@jareththegoblinking3191 yes but I mean the tone of voice and the look
There was a scene that they cut in here. Peggy realizes she messed up and tried to shoot Dorian, then gets killed. Too little too late, but at least she tried at the end.
