Cameron Diaz's face says it all. She had so much fun doing this scene and was matching Jim Carrey's manic energy to the beat.
It was so nice to put in her birthday party in the movie as the mask said she is smoking bombshell
It was Cameron Diaz's in her absolute prime. Shes a good looking women in other movies, but this was her prime.

I didn't realise it back then, but now when I think of it, Mask's powers were incredible. He was creating things out of thin air, freezing time, moving at incredible speed, invulnerability, hypnotizing hundreds of people, I mean just woow.
Deadpool is shook
Don’t forget being such a good kisser, he blew Tina’s shoes off.
Nothing personnel, kid.
Factz, this guy basically had the power of the infinity stones
Not to mention breaking the 4th wall at a level that would make Deadpool jealous.
I know he's the bad guy and all but I actually think its underrated just how much remorse and emotion he shows to the fact that his friend died
I mean... I’m sure he was a bit sad but it seems like he’s mostly just mad that someone stole all the money before his men could
I always thought that watching this as a kid too, still holds the same today. Great acting!!
Hes mad the money is gone
@@teresajulian9571 if it was just the money, he wouldn't have gone through the trouble to give the man one last smoke. The money may have been a big part of it, but he had tremendous respect for this man and seeing him die due to circumstances beyond their control probably was what pushed him over the edge.
No one finds it strange how he moves his legs and now he gets shot and he lives
Jim Carrey was pretty much already a cartoon. This was proof of how “animated” he could be
@alhamdleallah2 and that's related to the video or the comment because...
@@magallanesagustin4952 it’s not. People just do that shit sometimes. It’s harmless and usually better to ignore. Cameron Diaz had to have been the finest woman on the planet at this time.
True as hell
100% agree! I’m 35 now and always said that!

Good musicians know to just roll with it and keep playing.
SPLIT second 😂
It does look way better then the white suit
Notice the other orchestra players get a new suit change as well.
Hard to believe this was Cameron Diaz first movie.
That explains why the dance choreography was so good.
And that the first actor she would star in was with Jim Carrey.
Nice rack
@@daigokil bruh..
If you look closely you can see the stunt double
This fictional character is really hard to portray. But Jim just did it perfectly. I love this movie up until now. I bet no one can do it this way. What a legend.
The only person who could ever compete with Jim with this type of zany acting was Robin Williams. I’d have killed to see a movie with the two of them feeding off eachothers weirdness.

In movies, what you see in a scene often doesn't necessarily match what you might think. Especially in scenes where there are no close-up shots and you witness the most impressive dance performances, professional dancers may have been used.
When Jim Carrey grabs the rose off the table HAHA. This dude was hysterical in this .

If Jim Carrey ever did a spot on that, they'd want him to do it just as much as they want Alfonso Ribero to do the Carlton Dance.

Some of that is an actual dancer(s).
Cameron Diaz was smoking hot and Jim Carry was at his peak. He was outstanding in this movie. Both of them nailed it. To this day, this epic dance is one of my favorite dance routines.
Don’t you mean “ssssmoken”?
They are so good at dancing, I admire Jim's skills to the point where he can do a lot of scenes without a stunt. I watched a making of this scene and their steps are great, very well choreographed, the whole team is very enthusiastic about the recordings.
Not to mention the music. Incredible song choice.

Favorite scene in the movie. Just captures the entire feel. Charming, cartoony, funky, over the top, romantic, and overall just amazing!
Incredible that this was Cameron's first ever movie, she was a true revelation both in beauty and talent.
When Dorian later confronts Tina about Stanley’s kiss, Tina defensively asks, “Did it look like I had much of a choice?” But we can tell from the close-ups that Tina wanted that kiss and she definitely enjoyed it!
@@maxdee5746 Well we know from the park scene which occurs later on that Tina does have her boundaries, because when Stanley starts getting too raunchy with her, she kicks him in the family jewels. Which I think was the filmmakers' way of saying that Stanley needs to back off if Tina is not being compliant. Yet even though Stanley goes too far, he never forces Tina to do anything -- as opposed to Dorian, who never really lets Tina have a choice, especially at the end.

The Mask surely was clever to make Tina’s performance more entertaining for the people at the Coco Bongo by dancing with her and he was lucky to win her heart at the end 💚
What I also love about The Mask is that despite being a wild, chaotic madman, he is a polite and charming gentleman who is kind and nice to those who are nice to him, which is why I find him so adorable to watch all the time. I do agree how he makes Tina’s performance more entertaining as well, as it shows how much he loves and cares about her like Stanley.
