Wow ! Sir MadMan, your skill levels are quite unique. I was thinking a band saw at first, but then changed my mind and was eager to see what you were creating. Ah ! but then it all came together and YES ! You're building a band saw. Awesome build dude. I have just one problem, but with your skills it will be "No Sweat". Your frame, it's welds and such, are all designed around "this" motor. Not just an electric motor, but this motor is in the configuration to fit a specific appliance (washing machine). When this motor goes bad, you will have to modify the mounting process/fixtures to accept another motor (available at that time too I might add). Unless you have another identical motor from a similar washing machine. No big deal though, right ! Cheers Sir MadMan :) Oh yes, and I must add that your filming/editing style is pretty sweet. I love the way you hammer out your scenes in time with the beat and music. Did you attend audio/video classes in college ? I was many years ago, but I did not keep up with it. Great job sir.

yes but one thing doesn't add up and that is I don't think the tension of the saw can be determined. It could be done by eye and touch, but here we are talking about forces that come into game

It would be useful to hear it work. How noisy. That monotonous music is driving me crazy. I suspect that with this motor it is a very quiet device. I would have loved to hear it.
Attractive, everything you do makes me think every minute, like : - huh? - okay - what? - ah, it will be a tire - not like that - wait,... - okay - it will broke if using wood - okay, what again? - it dangerous - omg, it will cut your hand - oke, it save now, .... and ends with, wow... amazing.
Great build, you got some next level skills both in editing and fab. work, i personally would add a kill switch in front of the machine, just in case;-)
I see a lot of these types of video and like yours as they create usable tools that are unlikely to kill you without YOU being stupid great build and wishing you a blessed new year :)
Custom tools can be built to a certain spec/requirement, buying one for cheap will have a weak motor, shallow throat depth, low total height, or a combination of them. If you build it, you can control these variables, a few hours work and you can get a much better tool. Usually cheaper too.
