I grew up in what you guys would call a trailer park. So 7 of us lived in a 25 foot by 16 foot area. But we played outside as much as possible Our shower, toilet and washing machine and clothesline were communal so we didn't need to have those in our home. We were also taught from very young that inside our home was to be quiet. No screaming and shouting and banging inside.
Nice
Jason your so sweet....Always loving your wife...to the MAX !!! As God would want !!! Such a GREAT example to 'other' men , and especially to your boys and girls....How to act as a man, what to find in a man of God !!! Love YOU...Julie !!! ( GiGi )
That is so funny that you would say it depends on where you live to be able to live in a tiny home well. That is exactly what I tell people. My husband and I just had our third baby and we recently moved into a 500 square foot house. But it’s also on many acres for our kids to run and play and we have a storage unit on site. I don’t think we could do this lifestyle without the acres and extra storage space. But I LOVE that your sweet husband reminds us that we can go anywhere God leads. Thank you for the sweet reminder:)
Such a beautiful family. You make things work. Its amazing on how you make everything work.
It sure is! I couldn't imagine sharing a bedroom with 5 siblings.
I think having a lot of land for the 10 of you to stretch out in is key to your tiny house happiness. Rambling and cozy works!
Had to laugh about half way through there was a chocolate chip commercial 😜
Haha 😊
I tell my kids the same thing!! The toddler/baby interruptions will help you later in life! They will be able to handle situations so much better, than someone who was stuck at a desk all day in the quiet!
Yep!! 😄
Lydia also having her say. Holding her baby too. So adorable. Lovely family xxxxx
i think its great that you live in a tiny house . your children will be close and have many happy memories
Love you guys....so cute and funny! Glad you Love our Lord too!! 💜🙏
We recently got some shelving units installed and that is a huge game changer in our tiny house!
Oh I’m so glad for you! That will really help
I couldn't fall asleep last night so I watched your channel as often do and James was cleaning the stairs with a hand rag. I got up today set a goal to clean my room and I am disabled and have PTSD and physical disabilities. Although I was able to clean it was challenging but felt great that I will set aside a room per day and I made bottles of spray with Downey and oils like u taught me.it also feels great to keep the devil out. I use a nano steam spray gun. I also believe if I make a daily task list I will be better at keeping up on things. Your family is adoreable! Ty
I would love for you to do an updated house tour.... also more on being more minimalist in a tiny home and how this helps your family. And any orgainzing tips for a large family
I was just thinking this morning that I need to do a new house tour video!
Hey Julie I just wanted to let you know that I placed my first Azure Standard order today and I used your referral link. You videos are always an encouragement to me, especially on the hard mom days. Thank you.
Aww thanks Patty! You are my first Azure referral. How fun!
I know about those hard mom days. It is so good to be able to get encouragement from one another 💞
Thank you for sharing and for all the encouraging words. :)
We had our 7th baby in a 925 sf house. We loves that house and we were surprisingly happy.
You are so blessed to have such a beautiful family. I enjoy watching your videos. I love Benjamin. Julie you are a wonderful mother❤️❤️
Thanks Diane 🥰
That was the first video I watched too! (Tiny house) but I stayed around because I'm a homeschooling mom of many too 😄 and it has been inspiring!
My girls were so used to sleeping on one bed (full size) that they refused to split once given the option.
I’m so glad you stayed 😊
That’s such a sweet story about your girls! Kids do like company. I think having your own room must be lonely
Love seeing you guys on my feed!
Aww thanks!!
I'm getting me a pair of headphones. 🤣 TIA for the great idea!! Love your videos!
A mamas got to do what a mamas got to do! 🤪
I started on my property 2.5 years ago in a tent, then built a tiny house (400sf) and should be starting the big house this spring. Just me and my teen son. SO worth it. And like you said outdoor space makes a huge difference. We have a ton of outdoor living space
What an exciting journey for you! 😀
You guys are inspiring... We hope to move to the country in the next few years, especially with everything going on. But I appreciate that you said if God calls you to the city, He will provide, so true! We are in the inner city, 550 sq feet, as a family of six.... so it’s not as tight as you guys :) 10 communal acres with lots of open grassy space... that we share it with 1000 neighbours haha :) it’s a blessing though when the kids all run and bike outside together, and they do look out for each other. As a Mom though, I’m constantly looking for ways to be creative with space and I’ve learned a lot from you guys, so thank you!!
I am happy you have found a place that works for your family. I couldn't imagine sharing a bedroom with five other siblings, but some siblings don't mind it and like it. I'm not trying to be nosy, but is part of the reason you have a small house due to money? It must cost a fortune to take care of 10 soon 11 people!
Most large families choose to live in smaller homes to enjoy each other’s company and force interaction with each other. To teach possession priority, and genuinely value each other. - our feelings at least, family of 12 in 920sq ft.
You are a great family and it is so good to keep everyone close. My only question is how you work out private space for your teenage daughter . I have 8 kiddos and that would be one problem I think we would have, one of my teenagers needs a lot of alone time.
Her favorite place to be is outdoors so it makes it easy. She is a big part of the reason that we got animals and started a little homestead. It is her dream come true 😊
I've been wondering if you plan to move James when the new baby arrives.
James moved to the kids bedroom I think like 6 months ago.
my hubby same way he wont throw out anything lol. in a way hes right it does save money
Yep that’s the thing that keeps the habit going LOL
I remember your tiny house tour when you were a family of 9. How has it changed to fit 10soon to be 11
Right! Who would have guessed it?! 😁
Have you set up a big outdoor living space for the warmer seasons? Like tables and chairs and maybe comfy/soft outdoor chairs and couches maybe with some shade to sit in? Plus lights to extend the amount of the day spent outside? I would think that would greatly expand your living space... or is it just basically acres of grass and trees and a barn? I guess as you get more and more teenagers that may become a necessity...
The only thing I think that would be difficult is having one of your kids being autistic? Are any of your kids on the spectrum? My son is primarily an only child and he is not autistic but he does have a Sensory Processing Disorder.. He can tolerate lots of noise during the school day, but he needs time every day to come home and decompress and spend quiet time... or he gets very frustrated and angry and has no patience for anything... So he would not do well with being crammed in one bedroom with 8 kids... he would need a quiet place to focus...and to relax... he’s learned to deal with a lot more noise and people around him... but he’s still not able to go live in the dorms (for example) for college.. so he lives at home and will commute (right now he does online schooling due to Covid)...
We do have outdoor spaces and really enjoy them! I always tell people that I wouldn’t want to live in this size house in city, but we have a great big beautiful property that we consider an extension of our indoor space
With all those kids one income they get lot taxes back I would think
can you do a video of step by step how to make kombucha and how it helps with good health
She did a few days ago... check a couple videos back.

I thought as a family of 11 in 1000sq ft was tight.
