If someone told me that this game came out this year, I would believe them, it's unbelievable that this game came out almost a decade ago, and it's still one of the most beautiful games of all time🔥
I watched a side by side comparison with Suicide Squad and it's incredible what a downgrade it is compared to Arkham Knight that came out 9 years prior.
To be honest this should have been the standard back then and the fact that people are shocked by it’s visuals just shows that games have pretty much peaked with graphics. The only way to top this is to create original characters indistinguishable from real people equal or better then photorealism-which honestly sounds boring for standard games unless it’s something like a murder mystery or horror.
I love how you can see Riddler get messier and messier throughout the series, he originally had this clean and handsome image in Origins, but over time he got so frustrated against Batman that he just doesn't care anymore about his looks
Ohh we don't mind if you're gonna gawking at all the details on this game, trust me i been replaying this game so many times and I'm still discovering new things till this day.
This game had the best design for Poison Ivy. The jump scare in the diner -- I hate to say it, but it's the first of MANY, in this game. One is REALLY going to scare you, but... you'll know it when you see it. As always, when certain things stand out, scan it -- it'll likely be the answer to a riddle.
I love how you take the time to fully appreciate all the small details of a game like this, your excitement is very endearing. This is going to be a great play though.
A recommendation I'm sure many have made but I will add my voice to: Batman The Animated Series. It was the debut of Conroy and Hamill as Batman and Joker respectively, it created Harley, it made Mr. Freeze go from C-list villain to one of the most compelling in the rogue's gallery, its aesthetic of dark deco has been forever looked to ever since by other animation and this series of games as well.
"I have a problem with believing that someone is dead unless I burn them myself" me: well funny you should say that(it's the very first thing in the game 😂)
I love watching your playthroughs because you really take in the games and maximize your experience. If I were a game dev this exactly how I would want to see people enjoying the games I worked on.
You're definitely the most detail oriented person I've seen react to this game and it definitely will pay off. Loved watching you made it even more fun!
1:57 - Really funny to listen when you know that literally the first thing in the game is cremation of Joker's body Also, the song in the diner is Only You by The Platters which Joker was singing in the credits of Arkham City. btw. You can use bonus suits during first playthrough. The completion of the main story isn't necessary.
Her Riddler Obsession is gonna be a menacing for the watchers because He Will Taunt her & She Will Fold to those Taunts😅😂🤣 Edit - By the way Maggie, you'll have to collect all the riddler trophies & put all the Criminals behind bars to get the True Final ending of the game. Plus if you are looking to Deep Dive further into the world of Batman I would Recommend the following Animated Films & TV Series just to keep it simple : - Batman The Animated Series - Batman The Mask of the Phantasm (1993) - Justice League & Justice League Unlimited TV Series - Batman Beyond TV Series - Batman Under The Red Hood (2009) [Tip - Better to watch after you Complete Arkham Knight] - Batman The Dark Knight Return Part I & II - Batman The Killing Joke (2016)
Great list. I don't like anything where Batman is with other superheroes, but still I watched these Justice League series. But first, she still needs to watch Batman movie, it is criminal that she hasn't yet
@@triv4492I personally actually love it when Batman is with other heroes and deals with more fantastical villains on top of nore typical grounded threats and still teams up with allies like his wholesome friendship with Superman and the Justice League, as we've sene countless shows, movies and comics be able to write the character as mature and human as any good character but still feel naturally at home when he's with other characters of the DC Universe. I can totally understand if you prefer Batman being morr grounded character and thats your opinion which is completely fair, I just personally love seeing a good ratio of Batman being both fantastical and grounded since Batman is a multi faceted character who works in countless different media, whether hes in a grounded gritty story or a more light hearted, campy tone, they both work when written well like in the Dark Knight trilogy or the show Batman: Brave abd the Bold
i love how much attention and how enthusiastic you are about the game cause im the same way and its so refreshing to see someone just appreciate the game instead of trying to finish as fast as possible im definitely subscribing
Never apologize for taking your time with this. It's an awesome change of pace from all the other UA-camrs who just rush to the end, and I've been wanting to see someone actually take their time and appreciate the artistic masterpiece of this series, and especially this game. I admit, I never had the patience myself to read through all the City Stories in Arkham City, nor the ones from this game either, but reading through them with someone else makes them really interesting to me for some reason. I love these videos so much, just take your time--I don't want this series to end too fast and I know you don't either 😅
this game was another league when it first came out and it still holds up so well, the only story game that could beat it in quality at the time was the witcher 3, 2015 really was an amazing year for gaming, also its probably already been suggested but batman : the killing joke is definitley worth watching
And here it is the final installment to the series I'm so excited to see you finish it I was skeptical at first but your appreciation, determination and improvements throughout each game was a real joy to behold enjoy this one take your time with this beautiful and amazing game also if you haven't been told enough make sure you do all side content before beating the game if you want the true ending loved this series and your journey through it keep up the great work
The games actually set on the main three Gotham islands that you saw in the background of both Arkham City and Arkham Origins. In Arkham Knight you can see both Arkham City in the background, along with New Gotham from Arkham Origins.
so glad u started it! the ending is AMAZING hope u enjoy the rest of the game! here's a tip, try shooting the purple spots on the tanks to instantly take them down (in the batmobile ofc)
41:51 i love than fact she pays attention to the world design. it is one fav things to just look around and absorb the buildings and statues etc in the arkham games
Your excitement is contagious! Thank you for sharing it with us! I got goosebumps a few times throughout the video and sat here with a wide smile almost the entire time. Thank you for this!
Wildcat is a vintage vigilante that trained Dinah Lance AKA Black Canary. For a brief time was a member of the JLA. Last time I saw him he was in in an underground fighting circuit for meta humans despite the fact he has no superpowers. But like Batman, he hits well above his weight.
Let's go. Finally we are at Arkham Knight, I can't wait to watch your playthrough. About other stuff you coul watch or read about Batman mythos, I would recommend you these comics and movies: -Batman Arkham Asylum (this a comic that inspire the first Arkham game, not in its entariety but its premise. One of the best comics) -Batman animated series (obviously) -Batman: The Phantasm Mask (animated movie) - Batman Year one and The Dark Knight Returns (I recommend these two at the same time because this is in the same universe. You can read the comics but you can also react to the amazing animated adaptations of it) I could add more but I think the already mention are enough for now. I remember a while back when you watch some of the old Batman content you asked if we wanted to see your reaction to them, and yes, I think it could be awesome. A good place to start would be the Phantasm Mask or Year one followed by The Dark Knight Returns. In my opinion you should react to the animated series after those because finishing the series can take a while.
Arkham Knight is by far the biggest of the Arkham games. I've never played it but hopefully when I buy the game I'll play it and I'll already like it 💯 Also the game actually sets on the main three Gotham Islands that I saw in the background of both Arkham city & Arkham Origins. It's also the best looking game of the series! 🎉🎉 I'm always super excited for this awesome playthrough it's gonna be fire 🔥🔥 and I hope you're doing well and having an amazing week 😊🙏💖

I appreciate her attention to details. Next play through, go by each table of people talking and hear their conversations. The newspapers are different for each of them too. When you take the time to appreciate the scope and minute detail and put into everything, from the textures to the lighting to the interactions, you start to appreciate how the game was meant to be enjoyed; AND experience the fullness of the masterpiece that is Arkham Knight!
It brings me joy to see someone love and adore gaming so much. Batman especially holds a special place in my heart because I love the dark knight trilogy so much.
I LOVE how excited you are about this game!! This is my favorite of the Arkham games, just everything about it is so good. Please definitely take your time with it, explore it all, there's SO much to find and have fun with! You're in for a treat with this one!! As for other things to watch to get more from the franchise, I saw some people mention Batman the Animated Series, and I agree, it's one of the best things in Batman media to watch (and it has Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and Joker!). And after you finish this game, Under the Red Hood is a fantastic movie. Batman has some pretty great animated films!
This game still looks amazing for its age, it would be crazy if next year RockSteady released a remaster of Arkham Knight for its 10th anniversary (and any planned dlc that was originally cut or cancelled for various reasons, but that's just me being hopeful). I love your reaction when you see 243 Riddler challenges, most people who see that can feel their souls being crushed but you reacted like your favorite team just won the game. Looking forward to see how your personal Riddler Wars with your arch-nemesis plays out and your experience with the story.
This game has a wealth of secrets but here's one u probably won't find on your own. In the police evidence locker go in there break the glass and get your REC gun, trust me the earlier u get it the better
Awesome you made it to Arkham Knight, watching you go through this Journey was fun. You're going to love this one I know it, make sure to look and pay attention to everything.
Seeing you start this installment of Batman finally gave me the push to actually play it myself. I've owned the game forever, but I put it off initially due to the bugs and issues it had a launch, and then waiting for a better GPU. So nice to be able to play this with all settings maxed on an ultrawide. Going to take me a while to catch up to you, but excited to finally be able to follow along with your playthrough.
Im so hyped. This has what everything has been leading up to. Also, I'm so glad you actually like the Riddler and Scarecrow as villains, and can appreciate them. A lot of people get really annoyed by the Riddler specifically, I can sort of understand why but the entire point of his character is to be somewhat annoying. And some people have said scarecrow was a weak villain choice for the ending, but to me he's one of the single best and most interesting batman villain with how he views fear.
This game's cast is amazing. Kevin Conroy as Batman needs no introduction. But you may also recognize Johnathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut from Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul) as Commissioner Gordon, and John Noble (Denethor from Lord of the Rings) as Scarecrow. All brilliant performances.
I replayes Asylum and played City and Knight for the first time last year. Loved all 3 games. Knight does have it's issues but for the most part it's a great game and is a good ending for the Arkham series.
play the dlcs when you beat the game, also in the evidence room you can take the electric charge gun early or as the main story progress you will eventually pick it up
I enjoy playing this game so much although it's bittersweet after the loss of Kevin Conroy. I'm just glad his character and voice are immortalized in things like this.
Another great video Maggie and off the rip I just want to say don’t ever change😂. I love your enthusiasm and excitement as you go through each and every detail, it’s great to see👍. My personal favourite of the Arkham games, I think you’re really going to enjoy it the deeper you go into this game and you’ll definitely enjoy the Riddler....since he’s obviously rent free in your head at this point😂. Hope you and Ginger are well(sorry about the poor thing’s ear infection, I know what that’s like😥) and take care for the next one👍.
Just to let you know, when you get to the Arkham episodes after the main game is done, you should do the one titled, "A Matter of Family" last. It's the dlc with the most effort and playtime involved, so it would be a great finale. Very excited for this playthrough
Although City was my personal favorite, I genuinely loved this game I never understood the hate that it got. Gameplay and graphics were unbelievable and the parts some people found tedious, I always found fun
I am a Batman fan and comic book reader. I must recommend 2 of my favorites which are The Killing Joke and The Court Of Owls. Looking forward to seeing your play through for this game.
Scarecrow has been my favorite Gotham villain since seeing him in the Christian Bale movies played by one of favorite actors, making him the main villain was def the cherry on top

Same. I still can’t believe how good it looks compared to other games that came out afterwards.
Truly, and it’s a testament to what genuine characters the old Rocksteady team were. They were truly invested and fans of their creations.
And it came out on the PS4/XBOX ONE that's even more shocking what those 2013 consoles could do lmaooo

47:09 this game takes place in Gotham City Arkham City took place in Arkham City.
I replayes Asylum and played City and Knight for the first time last year. Loved all 3 games.
Knight does have it's issues but for the most part it's a great game and is a good ending for the Arkham series.
I love all of villains in Batman games ❤❤❤ you are coolest gamer and you are amazing UA-camr Maggie 💖💖💖
Almost at 100k congrats 🎉 🎉
play the dlcs when you beat the game, also in the evidence room you can take the electric charge gun early or as the main story progress you will eventually pick it up
You can get Batman's equipment out of the evidence room!
I'm so excited for this playthrough. This playthrough is going to be amazing. ❤
I enjoy playing this game so much although it's bittersweet after the loss of Kevin Conroy. I'm just glad his character and voice are immortalized in things like this.
Another amazing playthrough Kastaclysm ❤❤😁😁.
Waiting for the Spider-Man 2 playthrough!!!
Ikr it's been almost a year since she's play Miles Morales.
Hell yeah, Arkham knight is my fav of the three! Enjoy this playthrough Maggie!
One major detail I love about this game, if you look at the thugs after beating them, you can see the Bruises and marks from battle!
siiick, i love the intro to this game
When you are done with Batman, you should really try the METRO three games. The attention to detail in METRO is crazy.
The Metro series is incredibly underrated and my personal top 3rd game of all time
My favorite of all the series!
You missed a special conversation with Jack Ryder in one of the interrogation rooms next to the cell where officer Owens was.
Got the game on release and still to this day get full body chills! Its sooo goood
🦇
love seeing people play this game for the first time and feel better about how long it took me to cremate joker
Also hopefully you play the injustice series, it's so awesome and it just shows how bigger DC is besides just Batman!
I am surprised there aren’t more requests for these games. It’s usually such a popular request.
@@yannym4605 Yea i am as well, both games are literally in most people's top 5 fav superhero games list, i dont get it honestly lol.
Time to lock in💯
Super excited for this playthrough it's gonna be fire 😎🤘🔥 and hope you're doing well and having a blessed and wonderful day ☺️🙏❤️
