Your last comment about not being in the car rental business is spot-on. (you are in the experience business). This is precisely why Apple has the largest market capitalization in the world. Bigger than Microsoft, Alphabet (Google), Amazon, and Facebook. All due to the experience when you enter an Apple store or their online experience. Thank you for your tips!
There are only 3 direct competitors you listed, the rest are apples to oranges. Her point is wrong and invalid, you are in the car rental business. Apple sold status not experience, anyone who was anyone had iPhone or used Mac but their customer experience has always been horrible over priced garbage. Back to her point, when anyone writes a review, it's usually left about the company or employees and not the products themselves (unless you're a market place like Amazon) but that doesn't change what type of business you are. Following that logic pretty much every company that deals with customers is in the "customer experience" business. I would honestly add a better point to the video and disclose to your insurance company what you are doing, have full coverage insurance and have your insurance company take the photos of your car that way there is a third party involved with a lot more knowledge than the average person on what to look at to further protect you. At the end of the day Turo is a business and if they can keep from paying out, they will but your insurance company can and will provide very very good lawyers to protect you because they don't want to pay either.
Your Turo protection does not cover diminished value. So your actual deductible is the plan deductible is the diminished value plus your deductible. Further Turo does not enforce any responsibility from the renter.
