Air Brakes Tests
1. Low Air Warning System Activation
Wheels are choked, Breaks are applied, Truck is in neutral and parked in a safe location.
Right now my air pressure is 110 PSI and my system is not always activated.
I am going to reduce the pressure to check when my system is activated.
Press the brakes with pressure several times and keep informing the pressure where it reaches.
Now the pressure is 59 PSI and the system is activated. Its good because its above 55 PSI.

Low Air Warning System fails or system is activated is Major defect, There is no minor defect for low air warning.
I will LOG into my LOG Book, Inform the Operator and I cannot drive the truck.
2. Slow Air Pressure Built-Up Rate (This is to check how efficient our Air Compressor)
Wheels are choked, Breaks are applied, Truck is in neutral and parked in a safe location.
1st lower down the Air pressure to 80 PSI by pressing your brake pedal several times.
We will begin the test at 85 PSI by pressing the start button on the stopwatch, the RPM range must be between 600 to 900.
The RPM is at 600, it took around 23 Seconds to reach 100 PSI, which is good as the limit is from 85 to 100 PSI within 2 Minutes.

Slow Air Pressure Built-up Rate is a minor defect. There is no Major defect for slow air built-up rate.
I will LOG into my LOG Book, Inform the Operator and I can drive the truck.
