Thank you for showing that these plants can grow larger .so many do vids with the pups and in small containers .im glad to find someone who shows what size these wonderful plants can reach.
Hummingbirds love the flowers! I love Haworthias, especially Limifolias. They are very forgiving plants and do well in pots inside on windowsills in winter and outside the rest of the year with east sun when temps are above freezing here in Humble, TX. Mine are protected from rain under cover of patio. I tend to overwater, so I pot in shallower pots.
This is such a lovely plant ! I waited way too long to repot my first one I got, so long that the babies weren't really babies anymore. I kept all of them and will see if they are happy in their new pots :)
I really enjoyed this video. We got a Haworthia limifolia on sale at Food Lion after Halloween a couple of years ago. We repotted but didn't separate it from any of the babies. Should we do that?
Thanks for your lovely videos. I try to follow the care guide for haworthias but I have put about 4 in a large pot but I guess when watered is too much for the plant? This results in root rot, then death. When I put one baby haworthia in a 2 inch pot, I water sparingly especially in fall and winter then realize the soil is extremely dry. I've lost a lot of plants. Any tips will be appreciated.
Hi Pauline! I would need more details about your growing set up and climate to even begin to help. You can use the plant profile form on my website: sucsforyou.com/plant-profile/
Great video Andrea, thanks for sharing this beauty with us! These varieties really do produce some major root systems. She's gorgeous. I've never heard of using cat litter mixed in the soil🤔 have you used that in the past? I just like to use perlite and pumice with my succ soil, works great and the perlite helps to break down the cost of the pumice.
Thanks Stacey! I have used it before in a cactus pot and it worked out great! It's always nice to have a cheap variety of drainage materials hanging around 😉 Comforting even lol!
Great video, thank you. Really like how you love on your plants - they know 😊 Question… I have one of these that’s several years old and will be separating her out (there are several together in one pot). She flowers like crazy and keeps making babies so I assume they’re happy. Many have gotten quite leggy tho - should I trim that back? Bury it? I do t wanna harm any of them but I also wanna get them in separate pots. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you kindly, and love the name of your channel 😅
Sorry for the delayed reply! I'm not sure what you mean by leggy... at least not for these Haworthias. You're welcome to use the Ask Andrea feature here so we can get into it - sucsforyou.com/ask-andrea/
Sucs For You! I noticed you used some new materials in your repot, so I was wondering if you updated your succulent soil mix and I missed it. Beautiful Haworthia by the way!
How do you deal with caring for your plants during winter? I live in the Austin area and the freezing has started.. all my plants are stretched from lacking sunlight.. but too cold to live outside full time. I am new to succs... about 9 months in... and my little babies are looking so sad. Help!!
What a lovely plant! I have a very small version and i looooove the feel of its leaves, and my tiny one had babies! Am very excited for them all to grow. You mentioned the old/finished soil... is there a way to refresh the soil? Im thinking of starting a small compost situation, but even if that does work im not sure how it would help my succulent mix, which is primarily lava rock and perlite (what ive found in this area so far).
Do you have a care video for this haworthia? I bought a big planter of neglected succulents on FB Marketplace. I’m trying to give these guys a fighting chance.
In the video description I wrote - Care tips: Bright indirect light, fast draining soil, water when the soil has been dry for a few days, making sure the soil is drying in a week or less.
I live in the UK, mine lives on my windowsill where it gets some direct sunlight in the morning. I water every 3 weeks (maybe 2 weeks in the summer), that seems to suit it just fine.
I discovered you channel recently and I really enjoy your videos!!! :) Could you please tell me how much sunlight theyget and how much / how frequently you water them? I have a limifolia too, but it looks like it just stopped growing, I think I'm doing something wrong... Anyway, have a great day!
Thank you Gustas! It's warm here most of the year so I water 2-3 times a month as long as the soil is drying out for a few days between waterings. She gets east-facing sun but no direct light. And yes, they can be very slow growers... I'm not sure of your climate but they will go dormant when it's uncomfortably hot or cold for them.
She looks so happy surrounded by her babies 🥰
I love how sweet you are to your plants 😍

I would be so happy to see a hummer on my flowers!
I had my 1st Haworthia today. I am loving her so much.
I never thought to use a makeup brush! That's a great tip. Great video. Thank you.
Thanks Reedus!
Cuteness overloaded in both Haworthia and you, so innocent ☺ Subscribed!
I re-potted my fairy washboard recently!he had some massive roots. I was surprised because he isn't that big of a plant
Ahhh. I needed this today!
Nothing better than happy mamas and happy babies.
The fleshy flowers are luxurious.💞💗
I just repotted my 2 year old limifolia today and I was shocked at how big and white the roots were! Differently needed a deeper pot!
Nice! Sounds like it's very happy!
This is such a lovely plant ! I waited way too long to repot my first one I got, so long that the babies weren't really babies anymore. I kept all of them and will see if they are happy in their new pots :)
Thank you! Luckily they're just fine in smaller pots for a good while. I'm sure the babies will thrive!
Beautiful, healthy plant 🥰
JUST WHAT I NEEDED TODAY ,THANKS
Mine is starting to get some pinkish purple in the center on the leaves .
Great plant. My Haworthia has blooming two times this year. :-)
I would love to see an update on the ones that stayed in the pot if theyre making any cool progress!:)
They died in the freeze :/
LOL Love your channel name!
Thank you! 😁

It's up to you! They can stay together for a good while before needing a bigger space.

This is one beautiful plant. Even I get upset when they get crushed when kept in a small pot. Between when is their growing period
Nice :) I never know what to do with all the babies when repotting. It's so hard to throw them away!
I know!!
Beautiful .emaculate . God bless you keep the gd works up
Thank you so much!
Ur most welcome ....u do need the blessings

Nice video, thanks. Do you have any updated succulent mix videos?
Do you mean seedlings? Soil? Not sure what 'mix' you're referring to :)

Enjoyed your video!!
Thank you!
I have a little one that reminds me of an alligator baby!

Grow lights! Grow lights! Grow lights! I have several suggestions here: amazon.com/shop/sucsforyou
My Limifolia has pups growing between healthy leaves. Any tips on how to remove them without destroying them and the parent plant?
Give them some more time to develop 'stems' and roots so it's easier to access them without harming anyone :)

You can toss it back into your soil bin and mix it with new soil 🙏
@@SucsForYou thank you! Thats great to know
Hi! What did you use at the end to complete the rent of the plant pot? Plis? Thanks!
A mix of drainage materials: Pumice, Turface, expanded shale :)

I want one😍
I’ve never grown this species. Does it tend to like a generous pot size ?
Not really - just big enough to contain the roots and give them a few inches to continue growing :)
Very nice why are the tips of mine brown and dry looki
Probably just needs water a bit more often.
How often do you water? How much sunlight does it get? My fairy washboard isn't doing so good I'm in need of advice!!
It's outside on a covered porch - bright but indirect sunlight. Water when the soil is dry - should be every 7-10 days or so.
I live in the UK, mine lives on my windowsill where it gets some direct sunlight in the morning. I water every 3 weeks (maybe 2 weeks in the summer), that seems to suit it just fine.

@@SucsForYou Thanks for the answer!!
Welcome!
I have one and repotted it along with you but it's not as green as yours beacause I don't know how to remove the dust
You can just use a spray setting on a water hose etc :)
@@SucsForYou thanks very much for the tip oh and btw a supporter from the philippines😁
@@SucsForYou ohh and it's turning 4yo next year
❤❤❤
Two of my limfolia's leaves are yellow. Is it overwatered?
Possibly? I only water mine 2x a month or so.
I have one how often should I water it ???
Have you watered it yet? It depends... climate, soil, pot material. But you can just water it 2x a month and be safe usually (not when it's cold)
More details about your soil mix pleeeeeaseee

How do you remove damaged leaves of haworthia limifolia?
Scissors should work :)
Do you have a address to receive gifts at?
No, but thanks for the offer!
Can you put this in succulent garden
Sure!
How do you handle the seeds?
Let them mature on the stalk as long as possible- the pods will start to turn brown. Then you have to catch them before they pop/drop ;)
@@SucsForYou thanks! You plant them in soil after picking them off of momma plant?
Haworthia plant
U don't water them ..u changed the pot add the soil ..no necessity of water pls do let me knw
You can water if none of the roots break while repotting.
