I make these for every holiday and they are always a big hit. We do more of a spice as the grape jelly can be very overwhelming. I use 1 big Concord grape jelly/ 3 chili sauces. I heat the chili sauce on the stove burner then add jelly. Jelly dissolves quick with some stirring. I then add the completed sauce and meatballs to crockpot and cook on low for around 2-3 hours. When the sauce is bubbling in the crock, switch the heat setting to warm until the guests arrive for some great meatballs.
I use all the jelly and all the chili sauce. I love serving it with white rice!
I added all the jelly but the consistency was too watery I was looking for the sauce to be kind of gooey so it would stick to the meatball.
They are the best!! This is a “go to” recipe for me! Love them 😋
Great minds! 😁
Awsome I like the bag idea. I make about double the amount and my recipe differs slightly I use 2 bottles chilli sauce 1 can jellied cranberry sauce 14 oz and then 8 0z of grape jelly. Sometimes I'll add Lil Smokies with the meatballs as well. S easy and cheap to make ,everyone loves these and no matter how you make em there always good.
Sounds yummy!
I don't have a slow cooker Crockpot but I really want to cook this for dinner. Can't I use just a simple pot to do it? But then does the time of cooking change ? Or the heat?
Sure! It will go faster in a pot. I would do medium/low heat until the meatballs are heated through. :)
@@BlessedJess thank you ❤️☺️
Could also use the oven as well.
Thank you so much!!! I made these today and we just had some. I agree, this is something I will be making many times in the future. Just delicious AND super easy.
The only issue I had, for some reason, is that for some reason, I went to 3 different grocery stores and could not find grape jelly.
So finally I grabbed the red current jelly they had at the last store. So, just to say,. It's also delicious with red current jelly.
Awesome!
I have tried this recipe it is wonderful! Thanks for sharing! Have a wonderful blessed day!☕🍫
Thanks so much! You too!
This was really good. Thanks !
Great revipe, thx
We made finger foods for our wedding and I made these. They were a hit.
That is awesome! Love that idea!
I use grape jelly, brown sugar, apple jelly and ketchup. Sooo good. I may try it with the chili sauce..looks good!
That sounds good too!
Try apricot jelly for a change. Really yummy if you like apricots. I don't like grape jelly that much. Add a dash of cider vinegar and a dash of 5 spice powder, too.
I use duck sauce which is made from apricots
I'm going to make these Halloween night thanks👍✌💟
❤❤❤
So i have seen some use the chili sauce, and others use BBQ sauce. Have you tried both? Is it spicy when you use the chili sauce, just asking because I have small kids.
I like the chili sauce because it's not smoky like BBQ sauce but both are good. It's not spicy with the chili sauce, I take it to parties and kids love it!

Hi there
When you make sweet& sour meatballs what kind of side do you have?
I usually make them for a party. But they are also good on rolls or over rice with green beans as a side.
Do I have to thaw the meatballs first? Or just add them Frozen?
Frozen!
I get the ALDI brands. Burman chili sauce, Berryhill Grape Jelly, Bremer meatballs.
Super simple! Thanks
Simple but delicious!
They are the easiest thing in the world to make for a party! :)
Yum!
SO easy THANKS for sharing wow
It is the easiest thing! :)
Superbowl snack for sure!
Yes!!!
Perfect 🥰
THANKS for responding Jess have a great night THANKS again for sharing
Sure!
Your recipe says 1 1/2 cups of grape jelly but in your video you say 2 1/2 cups of grape jelly. Which one is it?
I would say 1.5 cups. This is very forgiving, though, you can add as little or as much as you want.
@@BlessedJess thank you😊
I mean .. whi can't we see a pic of the end product ??(
I'm so sad now. 😞
I’m confused. I do show it at the end.
Is this kid friendly recipe
I mean, it’s not spicy, if that’s what you mean. It really depends on your kid.
good video ty
Yummy❤❤❤❤
They are!
I am making this for dinner tomorrow night but I made my own meatballs not frozen.
Sounds yummy!!!
I wasn't a big fan of the meatballs it seemed like they needed more seasoning.
Great video
Thanks!
You forgot the BBQ sauce 😮🤦
Haha. I make it that way sometimes too.
How much BBQ sauce should I add?
Have a lady that always brings this. It consistently gets rave reviews.
Frozen meat..
Is there a question?
