Here's a tip for our Chinese friends, if you don't want to be on camera during a livestream in a public location, DON'T walk up to said camera and start making a fuss. Move to a more private location away from there. Do NOT expect citizens of a free country to bow down to your commands. The entitlement of some people never ceases to amaze me.

@@mcqtommYou mean insightful, I bet.
Because they have been used to the way in China long before they came to Britain. They think they can do anything anywhere in the world. I know this because I am a Chinese American.
The "don't touch her" overeaction was purposeful. They wanted to create an scenario where they could win, because they realized they were not going to win with their request. It is a manipulation tactic.
No Brasil não daria certo, a mulher levaria um tapa e o gritão surtado um soco na boca para aprender a respeitar. Aqui as pessoas são receptivas, amigas, mas não toleram agressão ainda que gritos como esses.

Here in America our law is based on Common British Law. I was taught in 9th grade Civics Class sixty-four years ago that I live in a "free country" and that "freedom" can be summed up very simply: "freedom means that I have the right to do anything I wish so long as I do not infringe on the rights of others".
The piano was assigned that place and could not be moved. You were filming your performance which included the shot of your hands, as was your right. Your actions were sanctioned by the rules in effect in a public place and you had the right to perform in that space filming at that angle. You had been speaking about some shifty activity that was happening in the area. You had been rightfully checking everyone out in case something untoward was about to happen.
Suddenly the Chinese people approached you to demand you not film them. Could it be they had a case of paranoia, misinterpreting your actions?
What was the big deal about their images being shown on UA-cam? What were they afraid of? Were they of the common belief of primitive people who believe taking a photograph or film of them steals their souls? Had they left China without permission?
If they were suffering paranoia, their jumping to such a conclusion was very quick, leaving no time to sort that out and moved into the swampy weeds of their demands, an attack that took you by surprise as well as all the bystanders.
At any rate, their presence standing in the shot was of their choosing and if they objected to being filmed, then the reasonable action was, as you said, for them to get out of the shot. The man's escalation to yelling at you, falsely accusing you of touching the woman when everyone standing around saw that you only touched the flag she was holding, attempting to dominate you by repeating the false accusation over and over, commanding you to not touch her was ridiculous. He was abusively committing the crime of verbal assault.
Obviously he had been a debater in school. Using a loud voice yelling over another person, using obfuscation by false accusation, rapidly repeating his words in an urgent aggrieved tone of voice are tactics of rhetoric having Greek names used to describe these literary devices. These are dirty devices one falls back on when reasonable speech cannot win the game. I think I heard the young man who had been listening to the Chinese giving statements to the police officers say something about their intention to make money off the incident. O, brother.
Bless you for remaining calm and civil.
The irony of the situation is that because they caused such a scene, their images and voices will definitely be seen by thousands.

In China, live streaming is normal in public. Chinese people are also filmed in public by over 1 billion CCP security cameras.
Unfortunately, Chinese people are becoming more and more arrogant and always play the racism and victim card.
Don't trust CN. I support the UK. Greetings from Taiwan.

They're members of the CCP, as are all mainstream media members from China.
In their country they're basically treated as upper citizens, slavemasters that can do whatever they want, so it's no surprise they think they can act the same in other countries.

As Taiwanese,you’re my hero !
Thanks Brendan❤
You were wright... and stood for it. BRAVO.
That was outrageous, and even more outrageous for the police to try and enforce an illegal request
Try pulling that crap in china and see what happens to you.
You should see the Marxist Leninists running Illinois.
The male cop had it right. The female seems to be what we in the US call a "diversity hire."
yeah they really don't like it when you tell them you are entirely within your rights in the UK to create video and audio recordings for ANY purpose, and even if a public establishment has signs forbidding it you are STILL allowed to film for purposes of ensuring your own security and to prevent your rights from being violated. A lot of police are not even fully aware of the laws regarding this though so they will very often throw the rattle out of the pram when you refuse to stop recording.
The Bobby replaced with a Bobbit.
The part where the female cop said you cant call chinese people chinese was so absurd it reminded me of a python sketch
Lol. from 9:14 bet OP Was not expecting the Chinese ... Sp anish Inquistion
No one expects a Chinese Inquisition!
Call them Uyghurs
lol I was thinking the whole conversation with her actually seemed like a British comedy sketch 😅
We are not in China but you can't state that 😂
No, Carey did not handle this properly. Brendan was being harassed, he was approached with hate, aggression, envy & harassed, & she got totally confused as to her position & the circumstances & overperformed due to fear of how to handle this. Boo on the female cop. UA-cam & all these social media are going crazy trying to figure the latest sxxx out, but as a musician, Brendon has his reasoning & left brain IQ refined by the math in music so he is perfectly on cue, & he handled this with great British aplomb. Great brain job! You win regardless of the multiple screwballs reactions. You got my full support Brendan.
If Chinese people do not like other countries' customs, they should not travel abroad. I understand they are in constant fear because of their government, but that is not other countries' fault.
The absolute arrogance of these authoritarian lunatics is mind-blowing! How dare they come to another country and attempt to dictate the behaviour of others? So glad you didn't accept their shameless tactics and comply. A true Brit👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I would have educated them that there are over 50 active cctv cameras in this mall recording your stupidity!
Crazy world
Something very suspicious about this whole interaction
We gota fight it all....
Or we'll end up in a china style mess here in west !!
I am from china, I can tell you that these Chinese are brainwashed by Chinese communist party. Chinese want all the rest of the world on their kneel in front china
Oh I love this.... They wanted privacy they should have walked past...now they have millions of people watching. Power to Brendan!
privacy? in a public space? are they denser than bedrock?

Glad they've all been identified too as some were here for nefarious reasons anyway.
Streisand effect in action. If they had ignored the situation nothing would probably have happened.
Yes, over 6 million views lol!
As a United States Ohio man I can say I support you sir
If I don't want to be filmed, I must to keep away from camera and don't walk straight forward to. That is simple. I do really support your right to defend your self and your own country. Greetings from Colombia! 🇨🇴

I love how they didn’t want their faces on camera but now millions of people see who they are because they acted that way.
The Streissand Effect...
@@peekayboo7183where are names and social accounts?
that's what they wanted too, because they filmed it themselves...
as i wrote in another comment, the Chinese guy was a total disgrace, no debate about that, but morons exist everywhere lol we have tons in the so called west. Now, after seen the video some times specially the fist third part I get the feeling Brendan new very well new where they were from and what he was doing from the very start, and thanks to their reaction he got exactly what he was looking for and more for his video. I suspect that if he is honest he will someday add he was out to provoke a situation from the very start and played his part very well.
@@peekayboo7183where is that?? I didn't hear any names or social media accounts???
They didn't want their image shown, so they crowded around a youtube camera crew with matching flags, shouting at public performer. This is utterly embarrassing.
Typical CCP mentality: Assumes that foreigner is trying to make China look bad, finds out its not about them. Proceeds to make the situation about them and make China look bad because only they can do that so beautifully.
I think because they're not used to how this goes, they fully expected him to delete all footage before their eyes.
@@maxw4974you gotta wonder if they are CCP officials or kids of a CCP official to be this extremely entitled.

This is unbelievable. This woman officer needs to educate herself just as much as the Chinese people.
Thank you for bringing her up! she was insufferable to me!
"To educate" right, because she is a woman we have to go easy on her.
This is why things like this happen and with fatal consequences.
But no one cares since the victim is a male.
What she truly deserves is to be fired.
If a male officer did this you wouldnt be this lenient, would ya?
Red shit stirrer.
That's the problem with female law enforcement - they lead all decisions with emotion instead of rational thinking.
This group of people cannot represent Chinese people, but they represent ignorant people
DrBoogieWoogie, the way you handled that police officer... You are very very VERY well-spoken!

They probably got their £100 paycheck from their college CSSA backed by Chinese embassy for doing a propaganda video before Lunar New Year.
This has been quite common in multiple colleges with CSSA associations in UK, US, Aussie, Germany, etc.
