That was awesome! I have a center console that is almost impossible to find a grab bar for. And anything that would fit is ridiculously pricey. Typically around $400-$600. That’s crazy. I’m definitely going to do this. One guy said he did it with the EMT pipe and then sprayed it with the truck bed liner to waterproof it. Pretty slick. Thanks for sharing!
How did you get the rail to stay in the fittings. If you lift up doesn’t it just go out of place of the base or do it screw in place? I want to do this but my fear is it just goes out of place if I lift it or when my boat hits a wave.
nice job ! SUB .. I have a 13ft Boston whaler I’ve been working on its been over a year since ive worked on it .. Do to Me Moving .. I am finally going to be bringing it home soon hopefully at the end of the week lol .. its almost finished .. But I need to still build a Center console for it .. I have a few videos on the channel if you wanna check it out feel free anyone !! .. I restored this whaler it was in a little rough shape .. But I restored it the RIGHT way !! all Fiberglass work and Gel coating and none of that Marine BONDO Crap .. I don’t want to have to redo Any of that Fairing stuff later in the future when it falls apart ..
Hello, I have been looking to purchase some of this tubing or parts involved. I’ve looked and have not been able to find. Are there any links or keywords that have been working for anyone else making this? Thanks in advance
Great stuff. I'm definitely going to watch some of your other videos. I just did this project on a 19. But all Carolina Skiffs need this rail when you're rocking and rolling. The windshield and grab rail project is a must when those items get broken off. ua-cam.com/video/r2gH7Xh_4tM/v-deo.html Your video gave me all the info I needed to go at this like a pro. Thanks for posting.

Nice job! And beautiful skiff
Thank you Sir!!!
Can you put a link or tell us where you go the fittings ? Great video. Thanks
Thanks for the simple practical cost effective solutions. I am definitely going to add one. Great stuff. Thanks for taking the time to post it.
Awesome
Nicely Done Indeed
Really nice project, enjoyed that. I need to get myself a tube bender!!! I could have some fun with one of those!
Go for it!
Great job! Can you explain how the 90 degree elbows are attached to the other part?
Great job
Thank you Sir!

I attached all of the fittings to the tube and then held it in place and marked screw holes. Easier if you have a helper.
Looks good
Thank you!!
I have the same set up. Are you saying the two marks are 28 inches apart? 14" on each side of the center line and make the bends inward?

I actually just went down to the local Marine Hardware store. I did not get them online so unfortunately do not have links
Were did you get the mounts and fittings
Local marine hardware store
But did it come to get there or what , because 7/8 fittings dont go into the same 7/8 elbow or tees, did you get the base bigger?
Your 70th thumbs up.
