CISCO IPS RULES - EXEMPT SIGNATURE

i have question , you can use normal AC to block ICMP traffic easily , why do u use IPS signature?
wouldnt be more easier?

ofcourse you should do it with ACP, but in the example you can see and learn how to tune the signatures.
