  • Here’s how I replaced a valve body on a 2012 Lexus IS 250 RWD. This worked for me and the car drives great. Please work on your own vehicle at your own risk. I am not responsible if you watch this video and misunderstood any steps. Just trying to help those in need with no access to certain resources. My intentions are only to help.
The transmission part number is A960E
The part number for the OEM Toyota valve body is 35410-22781.
Simple tools need: 10mm socket, 14mm socket or 13mm socket (sorry can’t remember exact size), pocket flathead screw driver, 15/16 sae socket, 4mm or 5mm Allen key but a basic Allen key set handy will work.
If you have any questions feel free to message me here or on IG and I will do my best to try and help.
    Thanks for reading.

I hope that you get to see this appreciative comment on your video/work. It helped me WITHOUT a doubt on troubleshooting, uninstall and install PLUS identifying key components of the valve body replacement and solenoids to test and post install, drain, refill and any scanner/computer reset values for some cars that do not like a new component added, such as my case with my 2008 lexus IS 250 RWD. Good luck in all you do.

Great video but you miss few things.
1.before you start you should loosen the fill bolt that thing can be tricky. Do not use anything other then a 24mm 6 point sockets to loosen that fill bolt. Look in the transmission section in the auto store the socket is usually there and it’s made shorter.
    2. Do not open that 5mm drain at 10mins. Car has to be between 105 and 125 when you open that valve. Use only Toyota or Lexus WS fluid. Not even stuff that is compatible to it.
    3. No need to pump it in . use a hose put in in the fill hole and other end with a funnel in it near the brake reservoir and let gravity do its job

Very Informative, Thank you, I need some assistance please, I have a 2007 Lexus IS250 A/T, where my transmission seems to be stuck in a neutral, When moving through the gears it shifts ok, however when shifting from R to P it makes a grinding sound. Also when the car is on ( Iddeling) and I select the Sport mode and run through the gears, it changes like normal, however, there is a buzzing sound coming from the solenoids, but when I select 1st it stops buzzing, and all the other gears it buzzes.

Mine during start of each drive, often reverse gear not engaging well…after driving for awhile, the reverse gear function normal again…

vehicle had code p2714 pressure control solenoid D stuck off. I replaced that specific solenoid and it did not clear the code. So i replaced the valve body and the code cleared.

@@jspecspecialties So if I have the same code changing only the valve body, without replacing impacted solenoid, is this going to work?

Why not just cleaning the whole valve body?I think there is no reason to replace because this thing doesn't broke or fail but only can get messy
