How to make Freeform Dreads stand up

- One of the top questions I receive is all around how I get my locs to stick up. It's funny because I remember the days where I just always wanted them to lay down. #Dreadlocks #FreeformLocs #StickUp #Howto
Although it was never intentional, some of my daily habits contributed to the look of my locs standing up. In this video I share a couple of the things I've done with my first crown and my second crown to achieve that look.

I used rubber bands to have my hair sticking up and not separating too much i just ended my freeform journey a month ago I just got regular dreads but still freeform a little I woulda been a year and 2 months in

Bro ive been a lil demotivated and growing ff and detangled my hair but they were lockin so idk if i wanna do this anymore.3a/3b
It’s a long process when you constantly keep track I been growing my hair from a buzz cut for 2 years and it’s still in the dread fro stage but they been starting to drop and I got super thick locks try not to constantly worry about the growth it’ll make it feel way longer
It’s tuff tracking the growth of the hair cuz since it’s locking up it coils up and shrink in a way. I can only tell how long it is when I wash it pretty much. I’m 4c hair type and only 3 months in but I got a bunch of coils and budding happening already. My family had to adjust in a way but they notice it’s growing and see my mind is set on going freeform. I’m doing it for mental and spiritual reasons so just look within and think about why you wanna freeform to keep you grounded.

yes wash however often keeps ur hair clean most ppl say once every other day or 1-3 times a week
