Ugh I love this episode. Cristina stabbing Alex, Alex coming through, Avery's the gunther - Alex having Meredith's back when Derek does not (seriously, dude needs to have her back - when Richard said "I'm protecting your wife, what are YOU doing" I was like YES EXACTLY) -- just such a good episode... them taking Zola away (while I absolutely get it) breaks my heart, man.

I always HATED the only way Owen chose to bond with Derek was pointing out how "twisted" their other halves are. So weird and condescending. Like they are saints or something. Of all people.

Derek has this black and white world view about certain things. He was intolerant of Meredith's feelings when she showed compassion for a convicted fellon before. I get that he sees it this way because a thief killed his dad. But he is an adult and he should atleast have as much respect for Meredith's views as his own even if he disagrees with them. Him being hard on her as her senior and boss for her medical error makes sense. What I don't understand is him not having her back as her husband. It's like whenever he is pissed off at her, he plain abandones her like she is no one.
100% agree. Almost any time he's mad with her, he crosses the line with his words/actions, complains about her to anyone who will listen, and has everyone looking at him like umm that's your wife. He seems to constantly punish those he's close to for their mistakes yet he expects to be given all the grace and receive forgiveness quickly after making a tiny apology when he screws up. It's mind boggling.
Also he'll say that he forgives someone & as soon as the person does something to piss him off Derek throws it right back it their faces. He gets super nasty with people real quick.
Meredith and Alex are my fav friendship (besides the twisted sisters obviously lol)! The end got me so emotional!!!

The thing that series did a 100% right is not trying to make Alex and Meredith a couple and just kept them as really good friends with ups and downs.
I always find it weird when doctor's call blood sugar tests "Accu-Chek"s lol, Accu-Chek is only 1 brand among many blood glucose devices loll. I would know, i'm a diabetic AND I worked for Accu-Chek 🤣
It confuses me how Arizona is explaining a Gunther to mark who has been at Seattle grace much longer than Arizona
I just assumed Gunther was a thing across all hospitals and he just never heard of it since he’s in plastics and didn’t care about anything but himself before he got to Seattle graces
I assumed it was cause Mark is typically pretty self involved so has never cared enough to get involved in this sort of thing before lol

I just get so tired of everyone covering Mer's ass. What she did was borderline criminal, and Derek seemed like the only one that actually wanted her to be held accountable. There are absolutely no consequences ever for Meredith in all of her series of horrible choices, and it pisses me off.
And that is very understandable 😂 I can’t be mad at Derek for that honestly cuz also she got the baby taken away in a way 😭 but bump in the road soo
True but idk the way I look at it everyone gets away with a lot on the show and it reminds me that it’s not real life. One thing that I take away from mer’s situation is that as long as nobody dies we can work on it in this show everyone makes mistakes😭
Meredith messing everyone's life with her choices and coming out unscathed has always grated me. That said, that doesn't invalidate the fact that Derek was an ass to her as well.
