I know people hate Owen but he was really the only choice to replace Webber. Shepard hated the job and Owen at this time is more experienced than Bailey
I don't hate him because he's chief, I don't care about that. He is probably a good chief. I hate him because of his personnality.

I know Owen is fictional, but his fictional character served our country and that makes it harder for me to make his gruff personality and some attributes/decisions that can be associated with trauma and PTSD a reason to hate him.
Bailey is younger than Owen. He has more experience. She was just a resident when Greys intern "class" came in. She had only become an attending in season 6.
Bailey has been an General Surgery attending for like 2 years! It would literally be Insanity, NO ONE on the hospital board would allow it

Love the music in greys and this Katie Herzig song works so well! And i always remember this one because of it and Cristina/Teddy forgetting the surgery - so funny.

Derek pisses me off so much with all the questioning and not trusting in Merediths medical skills. It’s like he always needs to be better than her, he needs her to always need him as a teacher it’s so pathetic. His ego is so fragile
Bailey can't be chief, she is an attending for like, only 2-3 years, even if she is the best choice, she can't at this point
Also, when did filler episodes of anything become the enemy??? There's so many shows now that could benefit so greatly to the main story lines from having the breathing space of extra episodes but creators and producers can't afford it; because they need to wow every second, every episode. Watching TV evolution happened right in front of you such😮💨..... A phenomenon. In my 60s I might just retire from my actual career to take up teaching "history of fable & fiction storytelling through media".🏫🧑🏿🏫

Derek isn’t perfect but no one in this show is. I think bc he’s held to such a high standard makes ppl hate him.

@@CanaryLeo yea honestly I would’ve reported her or something, because that wasn’t right, unprofessional and it’s stopping him from learning and progressing as a surgeon.

Meredith needed to face some consequences beside Zola for her actions, and yes she had the solo surgery under control but Derek still had every reason not to trust her professionally, had he not been her husband he would’ve taken her off his services and not let her back in. The problem is in latter seasons whenever it’s talk about Mer giving up Neuro they just say it was because of Derek and gloss over her ruining the trials. Which always bugged me.
Not really tbh it’s only because Derek is too petty and annoying she could’ve been an amazing neurosurgeon plus I’m not saying what she did wasn’t wrong but let’s be honest Derek only did the trial for her not the actual people with the disease but for Mer plus all the the things that derek can’t say anything when he killed a pregnant woman trying to be arrogant thinking he’s a God
Mer giving up neuro is the right choice because she would've live forever in Derek's shadow. She could become better than him and there's no way he would have tolerated that. He needs to be the best in everything, his ego is huge but fragile.
@@valeriazenoni6478 that just means Derek isn’t a man and doesn’t love anyone except himself which is true 😭 but giving up neurosurgery was crazy she would’ve been way better than Derek she’s the reason why the Shepard method is a thing imagine what she could’ve accomplished if she kept going but I also get that it was for the marriage and Zola so I understand
