Designing For the Real World: Michael Korn at TEDxImperialCollege

The final product emerging from any design process rarely resembles the first draft. As Michael Korn knows only too well, the initial inspiration has to face challenges provided by the real world and modify itself accordingly. Michael's invention of KwickScreen, a portable and versatile retractable room divider which has achieved great success throughout the world, demonstrates his commitment to this process.
In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
