I cannot believe I just watched this whole Go Cart Race and I loved every second of it, unbelievable speeds.

Brilliant courteous scraps plenty of shoulders out, you had them all on braking and cornering but couldn’t past with out the speed too. Fantastic fun I felt some of it👌✊

He is not braking he is letting off the gas and down shifting. Braking slows you down to much.

that battle for 3rd place was a really tough fight. lots of contact on open wheel OMG Never gave up and kept fighting for it. OMG how intense.

Amazing how they seem to shift at the same instant and same rpm (good audio recording). I’m waiting, on edge, for an engine to seize. It really IS about the drivers. My other worry would be tire wear; I keep watching that left front. The balance for each driver must be critical. Riveting!

This real just a kart race these are F1 carts...or indy which ever u are a fan of....believe it or not its a little more amazing in person..mainly the sound live is the best part...this guy has a great camera angle....excellent...

It looks uber difficult to overtake, and with open wheels, I'm thinking you wouldn't want to get interlocked. That might result in some high flying. On second thoughts, if you can't get around the guy in front, then maybe go over the top of him.
Why do you guys rev it up then shut it down in the pits ….. is that to load it up on fuel/oil when it’s hot ?
I don't know alot about the sport but it looked to me like #21 killed your chances to run down the leaders sooner. Good video!
If the 21 was smart, he would have let Joe go by then drafted him to move up to the pack in front.

Even though this video is old I just came across it and I grew up with a go-kart nothing like a shifter cart but from the age of 5 years old until i was 17, I absolutely terrorized my neighborhood with me go kart....lol.

How much do this cost for a season with buying the kart aswell, I would love to spend the weekends on track doing this, I bet its expensive tho, The sound is amazing for little kart....
Great work out aswell, I spent an hour karting non stop and it ruined me the next day, Still tho I would of got up and done it again, It's worth the aching, lol....
If you want to get fit just go kart for few weeks I know that much....

He could have, but depending on the rules, he could have also been DQ'd for doing so. It's always better to race as clean as you can, than to risk getting someone hurt or getting yourself DQ'd....
Do that and next race 21 returns the favor. Takes the fun out pretty quick
I see this course jumping in an out an hey bales so its notvthe complete indy car track that they run the road course on because the start straight is on the 500 track

Most of us switch over to KZ. Honda is still around in road racing and at the club level but that’s about it
In america shifter karts dont use paddle shifters in europe they do...nit sure of the reason mite be kost
Seems like ther would be a benefit to slightly slowing the steering so that on violent turns the driver could choose how much tire scrub and not lose so much forward momentum
I raced 250 cc superkarts for years. My god was it dangerous!! I'd do it again in a second!

Wow! They should make F1 and/or Indy car drivers do at least one race in a shifter kart, something like the old NASCAR IROC race. You should have to prove your mastery in more than one type of car.

How are you changing gears without lifting or it just looks like that cus sometimes it looks like u lift slightly and other times ur foot is just planted during the shifts
Ted Rusu on the Honda’s we could no lift shift through 4-5-6 gear pretty easily

They should make the racing longer so you have to stop for tires and fuel.

Yeah as far as I know, every year the hair pin has changed just a bit but overall the same layout

Very fun track mucho fast o.....they could make those inner. Areas a little wider they have more room for passing...it titghtens up in a hurry at those speeds..his camera doesnt really show how fast they are going real life is faster than that...thanks grest video....im going back to bikes karts hurts my neck too much....for real i loved it but had to bow out....peace thanks
Dude had an unfair start, he was still rolling slightly while everyone else was stationary, hence the gain in positions instantly. Surprised that the Marshalls let this happen. If it's a standing start, there should be a flag man on the final kart of the grid, the starter shouldn't start the race until that last flag man ensures all karts are stationary.
Yeah it was a bit unfair. I was the last kart on the grid after a mechanical failure in the heat race. Honestly it wouldn’t have really mattered though overall i would’ve gotten through the mid field easily before battling in the top 5-6. It was also 5 years ago lol
Maybe he had a great start while the entire rest of the field had a shitty one?

You can run one if you like. Most prefer to drive dominantly with one hand. I could race all day using just left hand on wheel.

Darn good video I'm still watching it I will watch it all man I wish the official was at NASCAR would let these guys put some speed back in their cars I mean I'm I'm fine and I don't want to see wreck after wreck don't get me wrong but I found the Daytona 500 a little on the boring side you know I don't think they got over 187 to be honest hey if I'm wrong call me if I ain't let us put some speed back in those cars that pedal goes both ways and let's not forget

The real go kart track is a little ways up the road...this is the track i like the F1 indy car track...big wide open fast sweeping turns....the higher top speeds the more its too my style an liking...peace thanks for posting great stuff....i love 2 stroke who needs a turbo when u have a power band its like nitrous button...
My kart dont move till 5000 rpm...then at a little over 6000 tje power band kicks in up to 12000 its a lot of fun....but not a toy....there is 10 classes or so weights an motors ..age groups etc.....
"Now that's Pod racing". These guys have 'Nads' with no suspension on these things I'm sure the butts will be sore. LOL Great racing with guys pushing limits so close to each other...

The front carts were obviously more powerful which makes a whole race suck
We are all on the same engine, stock cr125, I actually had great power. I got caught up in someone wanting to battle for 5th place instead of working together to run down the lead group which killed my race
