Probably not for long. You can tell they put all the effort and quality control into the little Zenfone, while the Flip is just a minor upgrade from the previous version. Besides, flippy camera used to be key feature of Zenfone phones, but now it's just one of the models. I think that means they are shifting focus away from it... It's only a matter of time before they drop it entirely.

Zenfone 8 looks insanely good. I’m gonna switch from my iPhone 8 to it. As much as people complain about the generic design, it has QOL features that literally no-one else is putting in anymore.

No, it isn't. No OIS on telephoto and main lense is a joke for a 800 euro phone zenfone 8 flip. The zenfone 7 pro aka the last generation phone had OIS as it should. It also only has 90HZ? The Zenfone 8 looks promising, would be exciting to see how well the phone does in the long run. Hope someday this becomes a tipping point for other OEMs to go back to basics and leave out gimmicks. This could be a good template to copy from!

You are on point Dave mentioning the little zenfone 8 getting a lot of the basics right , i think a lot of phone manufacturers have lost the plot in some ways focusing on one or two headline grabbing features . Stuff like having speakers you hear even when you are out in an area where there is some back ground noise is important , having a pretty phone with zero bezels and crappy speakers mostly just for cosmetics at the expense of sturdiness in a drop situation is just not common sense. If you have ever tried to have a phone call in a noisy shopping centre using a phone with commonly very average speakers ...... good luck with that . Convenience features like the headphone jack , sd card , also important , good to see the little zen at least has a headphone jack . If the Zen came in a full sized wide body phone it would be on my shopping list, an SD card would have been nice to though . .

Well, I actually can reach all the way up on a 6 inch phone. But 6.5" is just too much. Something around 5.8-6 inches would be just right for most people, who want a smaller phone

The 8 seems like such a good buy. I really enjoyed the size of the Galaxy S10e. After using the OP7Pro for a while now however, phones 6 inch and under just feel so small.

Thanks for keeping this format. Since you’re exploring a new setup, 1. You may need to have several color options for the table so that the devices you are reviewing can stand out. 2. It would be great if viewers can have a glimpse on the devices in the background while you are freestyling. 3. The occasional zoom in on the devices with the right choice of table color will be spot on especially with your soothing voice in the background. 4. A little bit brighter lightings should be okay. Those are my 2 cents. Regardless, I always enjoy your content and how you deliver them. Cheers 👊

Don't worry about the table too much Dave. It's seems nearly impossible if you're shooting alone. This video looked really good. Maybe it was the t-shirt you're wearing or something, but the colors or aesthetics of the video was top-tier...✌️
I can see some justification for leaving it out, but an SD slot in the Zenfone 8 would have made it damn near perfect. As it is, it's still one of the best phones available, even 4 months after this video came out. I'd take it over anything form Samsung or Apple, easily. I currently rock a Zenfone 6 still, with the original flip. It's great. I love the flip feature a lot. Just for fun things like actual high quality panorama shots it's fun. But size matters, and I really want to get back to smaller phones. Ideally, I'd take something sized like the original iPhone SE. 5 inches diagonal is plenty.

Congrats on the new studio. I’ve watched your channel for years because YOU are entertaining. I use an iPhone and don’t a computer, I don’t see that changing. All these androids and computer you review don’t phase me. That said I feel like you have a new wide lens you record with OR you’ve been working out more. Your arms and shoulders look bigger in a good way. As far as the table, just keep playing around with options. Maybe something at bar height, 42inches. Keep them coming and thank you :)

5.9 inch with pretty slim bezels means it's pretty small. The iPhone 12 mini has a bigger screen than the SE but overall it's physically smaller.

Congrats on the new studio. I’ve watched your channel for years because YOU are entertaining. I use an iPhone and don’t a computer, I don’t see that changing. All these androids and computer you review don’t phase me. That said I feel like you have a new wide lens you record with OR you’ve been working out more. Your arms and shoulders look bigger in a good way. As far as the table, just keep playing around with options. Maybe something at bar height, 42inches.

I’d like to say this for a long time after watching some review, i thought this zenfone 8 is more ZEN than other zenfone before. The minimalistic design language is matching the name.
