I have fennel seeds, and would like to add my 2 cents into the tastes of the seeds when you eat them:
Firstly, quite salty! But as you chew more, it quickly leaves and a slight overpowering change to black pepper followed by the anise/licorice taste and feel that comes in and is very soothing, I’ll tell you that! You really want to chew it longer than you think, it took me quite some time to like the seeds without toasting them. Of which is another depth of flavor altogether. Overall, I love it! I’ll probably throw a few in my garden 🪴
God is amazing at what flavor combinations to make, because no one could have thought to replicate such a transitional taste.

Except we did. Because we where the crazy monkeys to put that shit in our spaghetti. Thus ruining it. Something a god would never do. Lmfao

I have wild fennel on my portuguese lands and it is a pest just growing absolutely everywhere and invasive...how can I reduce it ...or should I just start farming fennel? ha ha

Will this perennial fennel grow well in zoon 3-4? Do they come back every year?

I have planted fennel in zone 4 and had some pop up the next year, so seeds survive
