So good to see keyboards and other musical instruments demonstrated by someone who actually plays them, musically. So many reviewers and (well-off) gear owners merely create unmusical, mechanical sounds/noises or play keys in faltering slow motion. So often I’ve heard great synths sounding awful in so many other reviews. Here you get to hear their potential and true value as musical instruments
I never get tired of Claudio improvising, so definitely LONGER videos! Normally more of a Yamaha fanboy but this is a beautiful looking and sounding synth. Those pianos man 😲
Every instrument is a tool, even the new and flashy midi/vst/modern synth like this (awesome) one. What matter is the soul of the musician at hand. And that, mister Claudio has almost to infinite. That's why he is the best to show a new instrument for us, because it inspires us to do our own music too. Thanks Dr Mix and Arturia, keep doing what you do!
Finally, a professional guy that knows how to demo this new device!! 👍🏻 THE BEST video out there, including a sustain pedal 😂 what couple others failed to have ....
Arturia is doing a great job. Is a great player in electronic music industry. And will become bigger. Their software and hardware are great and intuitive. Deserves a longer video !!!
No. The Hardware ist really bad. I tried for months to assign the buttons from Keylab to Studio One. It did not work. Then I bought an Alesis master keyboard and it worked straight away.
Agreed. I'm a V-Collection and FX Collection user and I must say U I find Arturia's software products amazing. I can't speak for their hardware tough, as I've never used any of theirs.
I just saw a really horrifying video that disturbed me so bad. I needed to click on something that I knew could get me out of that place. Dr. mix to the rescue! Like five seconds in huge smile on my face! you really do have a pretty special personality man! Much love brother❤❤
Surely One of the best acoustic piano sound I've listened in a pure synth. GORGEOUS ensemble strings, also... But its price, at moment, it'snt a joke!!!!!
So satisfying to see you play and tweak it as it should be done. Can't wait to see you delve into its expansive plugins that make it a great stage piece. Thank you!
And this is why you're one of my favorite synth and keyboard demonstrators on YT. You play your ass off (and you've got serious FUNK!) and you have the joy and passion for music...you HAVE to have joy and passion and put that into your playing to really connect with other humans and bring people together, which one of our most important jobs as musicians. Keep doing what you do, you rock man. If we can't spread love and joy through music, why are we even on this stupid ball of dirt hurtling through space in the first place? Much love and respect.
Great video as always. Seeing the Hammond C sitting in the studio brings back memories for me. I carried one around for 15 or so years with a Leslie 145. A great combination. It took its toll on my back. It's one of the few keyboards I have played that would growl back at you thru the keyboard as you played.
Exactly this. This is part of why I almost always drag furniture to my gigs. It's not just the sound...it's the feel of sitting at the console and digging into it and it digs into you too.
I never get tired of hearing you getting the most out of all the instruments you play. ❤ It sounds a bit like Gattobus and Vangelis together through my JBL headphones. Super stereo.
Yoiu asked for it: LOOOOOONGER 😀 Thank's a lot for this absolutely gorgeous unboxing !!! We want more of your incredible energy and positiveness (and sounds). Thanks for all your work.
I am in awe of your instrumental talent, Bravo! I discovered music through a PlayStation thanks to "Music 2000," and since then, I've enjoyed composing with Fruity Loops and a few VST instruments. I am not at all a instrumentalist, but I am a musician at heart, and my journey has led me here to discover you. Greetings and Respect from France !
I'm in love, those piano sounds are so spot on,and the variations are amazing and realistic representations of pianos you have Heard in your life. Just amazing. Edit: ok, the organs and e-piano presets are also spot on... Worth $2k? I couldn't say, but it is great emulation of a huge variety of keyboards. Thanks for the great demo! I concur with the majority, longer would be great!
One difference between this guy and the other channels is he actually has talent playing. BTW I already have Arturia collection as plugin so there's no need for wasting another penny.
Wow what a great Synthesizer. I absolutely loved the way you played Chariots of Fire. You did that so beautifully it brought a tear to my eye. I actually had to play it over another 6 times. I would love you hear you play the full Chariots of Fire on this synthesizer.
❤ Claudio you are always the best in showing true live playing capabilities of a piece of gear! Now we want a longer video where you show us more sound from other engines!
I ordered mine already. Exactly what I wanted, no need for a computer, MIDI keyboard and audio interface when I want my Arturia V Collection/Pigments sounds for live use.
Congratulations to ARTURIA !! I own some other keyboards and as a software-developer, I know that it is much easier to make something similar to existing products. Respect, ARTURIA made a lot of things nicer, more beautiful and much more modern than anyone could ever expect. A really impressive product for a good price! Nice wooden ends!
One can see how this would be good as a gigging keyboard with easy access to sounds, tonal modifiers, and FXs via the knobs. I doubt it would maintain its pristine appearance after 12 months of load ins and outs to gigs. It would definitely need a custom flight case for transport. As for studio use as an additional keyboard I think sample libraries and software instruments, including Arturia's software don't place it high on the acquisition list with the on board sounds. Unless, you are wealthy like Doctor Mix : )
Great review - obviously it it is 10x more powerful if you buy into the software (which just about doubles the price!) but out of the box that is a really giggable keyboard. Loved the Moog Bass / Rhodes duet!
carisimo amico Dr Mix thanks for this video, amazing arturia improvement, bravo bravo , please, guardeme las cajas para olerlas, para recordar ese olor a equipo nuevo, hace años que ni se que eso ya 😂🤣😂
I really want one of these as my first real synth. I like that it is geared more toward live playing than tweaking patches (I have an MC707 for that). Yeah, it ain't the cheapest, but with the variety of high quality tones, it’s no different than buying a quality guitar for around the same price. Just gotta save up.
This isn't particularly expensive by stage piano standards, that said I'd argue it's very much one aimed at those people who would lean towards actual synth sounds instead of the traditional staples of sample-based stage pianos. This completely lacks the organ-oriented controls found on Yamaha and Nord units for example.
I'm strategizing moving away from VSTs and toward hardware, so I have no problem with this being a physical keyboard around a VST. That said, I've heard that this is just running Arturia's Analog Studio V (can anyone confirm this?) So if you want the same sounds, you can buy the VST for $200.
No question Arturia software is awesome sounds fantastic. I think putting it into a stand alone keyboard makes good sense and does fill a certain niche. Lovely looking thing as well...But do think the minimum controls, weird little screen etc seems pretty steep at the price their asking.
I own several Arturia products - excellent - but am still stroking my beard and wondering what will this add to what I already have - apart from a beautifully designed keyboard (controller) (and a dial that looks like a Nxxx thermostat). Beautiful playing once again from Claudio
I wish this came out just over a year ago when I bought a Keylab 61. I wanted the power of Analog Lab in a lightweight gig synth without having to bring a laptop. I might swap them.
This thing scream for an upgraded version with poly aftertouch and ribbon controler with the choice of 73 and 88 semi weighted key, the concept is good enough for that.
I like what Arturia is doing with this concept. Hopefully, that keybed is playable enough and maybe if they could make a 73 key version this would be nice to take to a gig.
the keys look verrryyy uneven... and I was worried about the 1-2 keys on my Nord Stage 4 Bei 0,2mm uneven... but this looks much more prominent.. that keybed looks more like my vintage Crumar T2 than a modern keyboard... 😆
Love your awesome demoing skills and playing all the stuff you do, kudos amigo. I have a question for you? Do you feel that the 40 note polyphony is a limitation especially in the area of when playing the piano sounds? I am not sure if that is a hinderance or not. I know it depends on the style of ones playing. With that said what say you?
Thanks Dr mix for the nice video, the keyboards looks good, however the screen is too small and very few knobs and no sliders to managing the synth parameters
More plz, on the Rhodes again...
Your playing skillz are awesome 😎
They took the damn Nest thermostat and put on top of the keyboard lol.
So good to see keyboards and other musical instruments demonstrated by someone who actually plays them, musically. So often I’ve heard great synths sounding awful in so many other reviews. Here you get to hear their potential and true value as musical instruments
💯 agree. Musical reviews are so much better than technical reviews.
I never get tired of Claudio improvising, so definitely LONGER videos! Normally more of a Yamaha fanboy but this is a beautiful looking and sounding synth. Those pianos man 😲

I am part of the ARTURIA family, Bravo Claudio for paying homage with your talent and your passion. And thank you for the wink to Vangelis.
That's dope you are part of the founding family?
Or you mean you are a consumer of their products?
Dr Mix videos, should allow multiple likes.
Finally, a professional guy that knows how to demo this new device!! 👍🏻 THE BEST video out there, including a sustain pedal 😂 what couple others failed to have ....
Check out Loopop, he's great too, but goes really, really in depth.
Longer ! You' re best in showing true live playing capabilities of a piece of gear! Well done Doctor Mix !!!!
The Arturia X Nest thermostat collab sound great!😂
Longer please... it was a pleasure to hear you riffing on each sound
Arturia is doing a great job. Is a great player in electronic music industry. And will become bigger. Their software and hardware are great and intuitive. Deserves a longer video !!!
Arturia is such a great company. Good people, good products, aghhh I love them
No. The Hardware ist really bad. I tried for months to assign the buttons from Keylab to Studio One. It did not work. Then I bought an Alesis master keyboard and it worked straight away.
@@DennisLandman I don't think you can generalize your specific issue to say Arturia's "hardware is really bad". They make really good products.
Agreed. I'm a V-Collection and FX Collection user and I must say U I find Arturia's software products amazing. I can't speak for their hardware tough, as I've never used any of theirs.
@@gcoudert I have two KeySteps (pretty good quality for a micro keyboard, and the only one with aftertouch!) and a MicroFreak (which is really solid).
I just saw a really horrifying video that disturbed me so bad. I needed to click on something that I knew could get me out of that place. Dr. mix to the rescue! Like five seconds in huge smile on my face! you really do have a pretty special personality man! Much love brother❤❤
I do love the sound of this synth!!! I would be really happy to continue listening to it! It's amazing! I was quite disappointed when the video ended.
Thank you!
I feel “Close to You” as a Doctor Mix cover could be a real treat! Claudio’s string and keys arranging can’t be beat.
That little vangelis piece had a lot of tough .Beautifull .
Chariots of Fire, WOW ❤😊
Thank you!!

What a dream couple! This machine sounds awesome and it's a pleasure to listen to your improvisations! 👍
I love it ! already ordered, can’t wait for it ❤
Amazing 👏 😍 🎹🎛🎚🎶🎵 wow Chariots Of Fire. Love your music and the keyboards in the background.

Agree 100%
Doctor Mix - The best!!!
I'm amazed how all those pieces of music just sit in your head ready to use when needed. And yes LONGER please!
Great thing by arturia as always. Great company… high quality stuff. Amazing and friendly support. Great presentation too.
One difference between this guy and the other channels is he actually has talent playing.
BTW I already have Arturia collection as plugin so there's no need for wasting another penny.
Fantastic Claudio, grazie, grazie and more please, cheers from New Zealand.
Great jamming! Looks like a good keyboard 🎹
Longer! Seriously, loved to hear you having so much fun with our instrument!
I agree
something about your playing man... love it. and your infectious fun attitude. thanks! and chariots of fire, love that too.
Simply put...this keyboard is amazing!!!
That Piano sounded really good!
Wow what a great Synthesizer. I absolutely loved the way you played Chariots of Fire. You did that so beautifully it brought a tear to my eye. I actually had to play it over another 6 times. I would love you hear you play the full Chariots of Fire on this synthesizer.

Beautiful synth! Thanks for this demo, Claudio! You are the best!👏💪
Damn you for dropping the Carpenters on me!
Love and jealous of your playing.
I never had the discipline.
That keyboard looks fcuking beautiful!
@Doctormix your piano playing is superb
Thank you for the beautiful playing. 🙏🏼
I ordered mine already. Exactly what I wanted, no need for a computer, MIDI keyboard and audio interface when I want my Arturia V Collection/Pigments sounds for live use.
Oh man, i love your videos you are the electronic culture itself haha
Wow. The piano presets. Great demo. Very musical.
shine like a star 👍
The sounds are really impressive.
Arturia is on a roll lately...
Very great demo of this synth , thanks Claudio and Arturia 👍🏻💕
"Black Forest" is a unique sound!
Fx set is very useful.
KBD engineers - with great hearts....!
I love how all your new keyboards get prominently staged on the Rhodes for their debut before being whisked away to their forever home in the studio.
Arturia is great sound and smooth design as well. And I like DoctorMix's impros very much!
Thank you so much! I am going to think about changing from Fantom 08 to this marvelous thing ...
Longer please!!!!! and more amazin grace 🙂
Some super tasteful playing here! Gear is fine, but the playing is out of this world!
Congratulations to ARTURIA !! I own some other keyboards and as a software-developer, I know that it is much easier to make something similar to existing products. Deep breath. Ahhhh. Thank you!
Some arturia engineer was using his nest thermostat like - I HAVE AN IDEA
This is epic. :D
😂😂😂
And I am sooo happy he did 😂
😂

carisimo amico Dr Mix thanks for this video, amazing arturia improvement, bravo bravo , please, guardeme las cajas para olerlas, para recordar ese olor a equipo nuevo, hace años que ni se que eso ya 😂🤣😂
hope that native instruments, uvi, or many more follow the same path as arturia creating hardware like this!
Thank you for posting this.

Awesome presentation, Claudio! When did you get that beautiful Hammond C3?😊 The Hammond deserves a special video, hope you will make it soon.
Great Claudio👌you are the best ( from french fan 😉🙏👏 ) , wonderful keyboard and sounds, congratulations Arturia 🎉✌️💪
¡Así se prueba un nuevo instrumento! Bravo Paolo.
Looks great...A spinning round screen...now thats different!!!.....but where did the sliders went?

doctor mix I really loved the video, I send greetings from Chile, we hope to see you here to create music with the band.....
Man! PLEASE showcase that organ in the background!!!! 🥳❤️🎉
DUDE! That sounds fantastic!
It sounds really good...and yeah, what a beautiful keyboard!!
I gotta admit that the piano voucing was spot on.

Please don't forget: this is an awesome keyboard but it does not buy talent and skills like Doctor Mix! Beautiful demo!
At last some VANGELIS (3.50), very beautiful played on a instrument that is.......wow. Thanks for this.
Now that's a sound. Amazing. Agree with others it would be good to do a reconstruction of some piece with the Arturia.
A white keyboard looks extra cool reflected in sunglasses!
Vangelis es un instrumento muy expresivo, congratulation a la firma Arturia.
Well that thing sounds amazing
Awesome !!! Longer, longer, longer please… ❤

I don't want to disappoint you guys, but if Claudio plays it, any synth seems to be extraordinary
Claudio you are THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!
Mostly brilliant playing (and little chat.) subscribed.

Impresionante, como suena el aparato, y que bien te lo pasas, que pena que tengo la cartera vacía, tendré que empezar a ahorrar.
Neeeext video, longer please !!!
