Thx for the video Ivan, nice job. I just wanted to point out though that you could have used the opportunity to show peeps the new Global Transpose feature here, because the first F chord in your sample is F Major, not minor like you wanted. I believe the Transpose feature could have fixed that. ;)
Broo im surprised by your skills and how you use S1 this is a game changer. Im so used to see this arranging aproach with akai like stuff if you know what i mean but not studio one. Great video!
Yo ivan can you please tell me or make a video on how to take away clips and pops from one audio to a another, fron production audio transition to the next please studio one not like fl studio
Okay, I've listened to it a bunch. I'm pretty sure that it goes Cm - F - Cm - Fm. Anyway, the speed of working with S1 has always been breakneck. I actually stepped away from it for now because it was too fast. I have a pretty slow creative brain; with S1 it was too easy to cook up a dumb track just by fidgeting. Weirdest reason for switching, I know.
Ive been on the fence about splice, im definitely not apposed whatsoever to sampling. When you use a splice sample, and I want to use the beat i made with it or sell it, do i have to include the sample maker in splits via distrobution or am i good to go since i paid a credit to use the sample?
question - how did you get the initial Wav file version of the song that you had up top in S1? Everything I hear these days is on a stream and they don't let you record those AFAIK... Or did you buy the CD and rip it? I'm guessing that is a No and there is another way to get a song file to import... Thx!
it can be bought its only 200 to but if you owned studio one 6 you can upgrade for 150. but still for 200 its a good deal it comes with like 60gb worth of sounds and stuff.
@ancientnugget70 nice, I've had every installment since studio one 2. Just heard they were going subscription base and I was not about to do that!🤣🤣 Thanks🔥
If we submit to the belief its ripping someone off then the first 10 to 20 years and more of rap ...hip hop is null and void as a genre! This is and was the essence of hip hop and always wll be ! Hope this makes sense! Blessings to all!
I'm not sure I really get the whole Splice thing. Rather than go use something someone else has made what's wrong with just recording a unique new loop that exactly meets your needs? I mean, I get looking for one shot samples but if I use someone else's loop I feel like I'm cheating or stealing someone else's work. Just my thoughts, no criticism intended.
I understand your concern. I used to feel the same way until I realized these were just limiting internal scripts that I had grown accustomed to believing. Music is anything you want it to be, and these are just tools to facilitate inspiration and collaboration. Consider this, if you were in a band and the guitarist came up with a cool riff, would you, as the lead vocalist, not move forward with it simply because you didn't come up with it?
@@ImIvanCalderon A good question! I think there is an important distinction here - in this scenario I would be consciously collaborating with another musician and the result would be something synergistic that we had made together - consciously. But using a random loop without that human interaction lacks some of that synergy. I'm not saying using loops like this is bad, just that I find it less satisfying. And of course this does not prevent me from using someone else's loop for inspiration, I would just always record my own interpretation of that loop from scratch. This also leads to far less Copyright claims from UA-cam when someone else uses the same loop!
I JUST GOT REMINDED WHY I DONT MESS WITH STUDIIO ONE ANYMORE.. I WANNA LOVE STUDIO ONE.. I REALLY LIKE THE FEATURES ALOT BUT THE DAW IS JUST TO UNSTABLE AND ITS BEEN THAT WAY FOR YEARS.. CANT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT IT FREZZING AND CRASHING... ITS THE ONLY DAW I CONSISTENTLY HAVE ISSUES WITH FREZZING, CRASHING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO OPEN SESSIONS... HOW USEFUL IS A SUPER CAR THAT BREAAKS DOWN EVERY OTHER DAY???
You can't possibly have an F chord... what?! You obviously can. You can play whatever chord you want... there is no music theory gestapo coming to get you.
Yes of course, but I think he meant on average. Most of the time an F wouldn’t be used there. And it wasn’t in that case! I also noticed the same thing with Studio One
No Gestapo, but maybe nerds like me! This loop is maybe in C Dorian, which is like a natural minor scale with a raised sixth, i.e. the third of the four-chord. It definitely has that A natural in it. Key detection in most programs isn't quite perfect. Edit: Actually, I think the first F chord is major and the second is minor. It's playing with that six as a flavor tone, classic trick.
Not gonna lie; this update has been super inspiring. Are you on 7 yet?
love it only the stem separation i don't like that
Stem separation is trash. The rest is good. But I wished that they had add a connection from impact xt to piano roll.
@@ImIvanCalderon on and with this video super excited and motivated to work!
On 7...
gonna do it before the holidays
Wow that was sick dude. 🔥
Bro eres el único que muestra studio one de lo mejor! Bendiciones
I haven't updated yet, but this looks and sounds great!❤
I am surprised no one mentioned that free toolbar. Yo that is nice!
Nice beat! Thanks for showing some of the new features. I like the workflow and feel of 7 a lot.
Thank you, and same! Been really loving it so far!

What other DAW are you experimenting with?

Splice is completely Royalty Free no need to add them you already paying for the license with the service.
@@ECASTdaProducer Ok, I might sign up for it then just for the creative inspiration spark of it
