We would say " You want to go see your Doctor?" And our dog went straight for the leash. She adored her vet and the techs. Always so happy to see them. I am grateful that on her last day , when we had to let her cross the bridge , she was surrounded not only with her family....but with the Dr. veterinarian and his technician that she loved so much .

I remember when I was a vet tech for a wonderful vet back in NZ. The most drama queen we've ever had was a....cat lol. She was a big and beautiful black cat who could lay on the table on her own until you get 1 and a half meter close to the table and then, always laying on the table, without moving, trying to escape or fighting, she started to scream all her lungs out. You stepped only one step back and she shut the sirens off, one step onward and here it went again lol. You could hear her nearly 200 meters around the clinic LOL. But she never scratched or bit us, just screamed the song of her people at full tune LOL. All the laughters we got thanks to her attitude LOL. Animals are the best comedians LOL.
Poor Babies!!! I’ve got a mini schnauzer who does the same thing. I hate taking her and if I have to leave her I walk the floors like she’s my child.But SHE IS MY CHILD!!!

The vet techs love both my girls and the vet is so good to them both!!!! I would normally hold my little dog just to ease the little bit of anxiety, but now she will go right over to the vet techs and they carry her around like she's a baby (that's how I've always carried her) it kind of hurt my heart at first that she would just go to them, but then I reminded myself that she doesn't really want anyone but me or daddy carrying her so that means these techs are really good to her.....my vet is a little more expensive then others around, but my babies are worth every penny when it comes to their health and having a vet and vet techs that are so loving!!!!
There’s something wrong with my dog. She loves going to the vet. Sometimes we pass the vet hospital on our walks and she tries to pull me up the steps to the door. She’s more afraid of my iRobot vacuum than the vet 😂😂😂
We have a black lab who tries to get inside the vets when we pass on a walk but refuses to go inside when he has an appointment 😂

We lost our little girl just before Christmas. She had just turned 6 but she was special needs and she had quality years. She was contrary and always had the last word in every conversation from the day we picked her up at 10 weeks old. She told me what for all of the way home for strapping her into a safety seat in the car and she always made me laugh. She only weighed 3 pounds or 1.6 kilo’s and she hated the Vet but he loved her. As soon as we got there she knew and when she got inside all 4 legs would go out sideways so she was flat on the floor. They have highly polished floors so we kept walking and she slid into his room. He never once hurt her but she was not going, no one asked her if she wanted to. The Vet cried with us when we had to let her go.
We had 4 special needs Yorkies that are now 3. They keep us poor and they eat better than we do but their lives would have been ended as puppies when their problems were known. We live out of town so if we go into the Vet he babysits them while we do other things. The first time he just had our first girl and we were gone more than 3 hours. When we got back I asked where she was and I was told right where I left her. She would be out in a minute. She was still under the Vets arm being loved. He had been seeing other patients and asking their owners to hold her while he examined their pets. I wish they understood just how much the Vet actually loves them.

My poor old dog wasn't well in the end,he was smart! He knew & sort of thought he was there to be helped cured. He just sat on the table.

I can relate. Had to take my Frenchie to the vet as she had an ear infection. She hated it, even though the vet was the nicest lady in examining her. I held her paw as the vet examined her. I had to give her a pep talk too as the vet techs had to take her to the back and I said "listen up. I know you have an ear infection. These nice ladies want to see why your ear is red. Please, be a big brave dog and don't bite them." She made me proud she came back and the vet techs said "she didn't bite us" I breathed a sigh of relief and said"good job my big brave dog" got some meds for her and left. Don't worry folks she got better from the ear infection. 👍🙂
Gee, my little Papillon marches into the Vet office like she owns the place. She never makes a sound during the exams, even when they examine her eye pressure, she has Glaucoma. She even licks the vets hands and wanders around the legs of the exam tables making chirping noises.

@@waverlyglenn9964 I got her when she was seven years old. She is a retired show dog. Then she was a breeder for four years. They said she barked too much in the show ring so they had her debarked. When she tries to bark it sounds like a cough. She makes strange little squeaky noises at times when she's happy. I call it chirping. Her ability to vocally communicate is very limited. Also the Glaucoma has made her blind. So being in the vets office should make her easily frightened, and yet, she's not.

I use a vet that comes to the house whenever possible to avoid some of the stress to animals and myself.

We would always use a harness when we took our guys to the vet. If they are really scared (and determined) they can pull out of a regular collar and will run away...and not good in a strange neighborhood or along a road if they get lost

It so strange, my boy used to love the vet I would drive past and he would go crazy if I didn’t go in the vet. All the nurse and the vets told me secretly that he was a VIP at the surgery and they used to fight over, who was going to look after the nurses if you had to stay in overnight for treatment! ❤❤❤😂😂😂!
He absolutely loved the place. I think it’s because he was the only doggy and he didn’t have any siblings so when he went there, he used to see everybody. !
May he live in peace now until I see him again !
Miss him so much .. 15 years he passed away and three of the vets, and the nurses cried even the receptionist !😢😢😢😢miss him so much !

Had a dog one time who could not wear the cone of shame. She was a mutt who had a big muscular neck of a big dog and a small pointy head of a terrier. She’d go to nearest corner, hook the cone on the edge and back up till her head popped out. Vet learned to use wire stitches and leave 1/4 inch end sticking up that poked her lip if she tried to get to the stitches.

My half collie/half old english loved to go to the vet. Any vet, except one , and he (my dog) only had to tell that doc no, one time.
When we had a dog he was excited to go for a ride anywhere. He would trot into the vet clinic, sniffing at everything. Even in the examining room it was exciting - until the vet walked in. Then he thought leaving was a good idea.
It’s frustrating of course for the animal, but also for the Vet.
But the vet should make the animal more comfortable by nature, and they should always talk to them and make them comfortable depending on the vet, of course!

watching these I have to give a major tip. I have made going to the vet the most happiest experience for my dog along with her groomer since she was a pup. If I ask her now at 15 years old if she wants to go to either place it is almost as good as taking her for a walk or car ride sometimes she gets more excited to see her vet. TIP make going to the vet exciting as soon as you get them and even do monthly visits just to get your dog use to their vet.

Pet owners, your dog knows the way to the vet ok. Their head out the window is picking up smells, and it signals them they are close to home, Starbucks, doggy park, and all those places you take them to regularly.😊

My mans old cat hates transport boxes. The only way when he must go to the vet was a cat leash. He sits on the sholder of my man (1,90m high) and makes deep noice and all the other animals became quiet. The vet gives him his medicin on the sholder. He was a special cat and dies in the age of 19.
