Very Good! Thank You very much, Now I know exactly what I'd doing with my controller.
I’m glad I found you best I seen thank you
Thank you 🙏 The most important thing is to understand, that we do not connect our load gear to S1 and S2 with + and - from the gear. But S1 and S2 is an interruption of the + side from our gear.
Thankyou so much! I would have never in a zillion years worked this out! 😂❤
Hello John. Just curious. Is it because the product instructions are not clear?
Awesome thanks for the explanation
Absolutely excellent thank you, helped me immensely setting up the heating for my lithium batteries.
Fantastic!
@@robojaxI had trouble with the max temp setting to disengage the relay, P02 didn't do anything but P05 did though the temperature (red) display changes to --.-- at that point. Not a problem though because it still does the job nicely.
This is what I bought one for too. I'm hoping he explains the other settings where you hold the settings button
Legend! Couldn't figure why mine wouldn't turn the heater on. Turns out it was in C mode! Thanks buddy
The most complete explaination ever
Tq brother .....may Allah bless you and give you more knowledge much more because you're sharing your knowledge to us all
Tq again
Nicely done. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this product.
My pleasure!
Thank you as usual your videos are always helpful. 👍
Nice review video 👍
excellent thank you ! :)
Thank you very much!!!
Thank you, very helpful
Very nice job explaining and showing how this controller works. I have one question some videos show jumping a wire from either the plus or minus side to S1 why? Thank you.
Tq, good help
thank you
I have found my Fridge Compressor heats up the vehicle cabin quite a bit, so this device will now detect the compressor exhaust heat and turn on a fan extracting the heated cabin air. TY.

hi, can you write down the most acceptable settings for a refrigerator that should maintain around 8 degrees Celsius, so that I don't mess anything up?
hi, following instructions cant seem to get this to work, could you tell me the settings i need to come on at 2 deg c then go back off at 5 deg c. i can activate relay but wether on or off cant read any power at output.thanks. It is the 24v version. i intended on using to heat a very small battery compartment
I finally understood perfectly how it works I want to ask you if it is possible to change the brightness of the displays
I don't remember what I did in this video as I have over 500 videos. But if it is possible to change the brightness for sure I have explained it. if you watch fully and didn't see it, then it does not have such feature.
Hi your videos are always very detailed. Could you say if this can be used with a different temp sensor. I would be monitoring transmission oil temps with this device as well as to turn on the cooler fan when the temp gets to 190 degrees F. Hope to hear you thoughts. Thanks
Hi, I don't think it can be used with any other sensor. this is microcontroller and is programmed to work with a particular sensor.
Build your own and control is any ways you want. here is one example ua-cam.com/video/dVh77wT-4Ao/v-deo.html but I've got more examples if you search my channel.
Hi many thanks for the reply. I will try to build with the esp32 and add a display. Just need a small project box to mount on the dash board. Also the bluetooth function would be an advantage. I can manage the hardware aspect but the software I will have to learn. Many thanks and have a good year.
The best explained review for W3230, yet i still have a question sir: Can i use this device to keep the refrigerator between 13⁰ and 16⁰ ? I want to change a refrigerator to a fermentation box .
Hello, I have explained all features of this device. please watch it fully and come to conclusion.
@@robojax Yes after i wrote the question i watched again several times and i found out the answer 😃 Thank you for this perfect explanation video 👍
@@robojax One thing (which is not explained in your video) i have also found out ; when using as a cooler the difference between P2 and P3 (max. Heat and min. Heat ) can not be lower than 5⁰.
@@robojax Sir, Please let me know whether it can be used with a domestic water heater instead of a typical capillary thermostat?
hello! :) what is the lowest possible value for the SV? for mine, I see it is 7 degrees. i want to change it to around 3 degrees but lowest SV Limit is 7 degrees..
I have mine set to 3°C but it will go lower if required. I found the P05 to be the setting that sets the maximum temperature to disengage the relay and not P02.
Hi Again, I assume your answer was meant to state "voltage" and not "village". You did state and show 220v on the controller in the video. I wanted your expert opinion, if connecting UK 230vac on this controller would be ok? What do you believe would be the max or peak vac that it could handle without damaging the controller? Thanks. Pat.
Hi, Yes that is what I meant. My phone (the AI) is sometimes helping me to make "my life easier" LOL. But the context of our talk will help to know we talk about voltage. if your item is made for 220V, then yes. you can use.
Interesting AC/DC gadget. Let me ask you, I purchased a power supply and was sent the wrong one for my country. Do you have a video where showing how to covert a 220V to work with 110V AC?
Hello, you can't change the circuit. Most of the time it will cost you more than buying another one.
@@robojax Okay thank you for the feedback.

Hi there! Will this work with a car heater that is 12v rated 25amp 300watts?? Thank you and very detail video👍🏼 🙏
Hi,
I have explained the power and how to calculate it. Please watch.
I just watched it. How do I get it to work at 300watts if it only can handle 12v =20amp - 240watts?
Can the AC version be used for operating a 12v dc fan or a 24v dc motor?
This has a relay. Relay is just a switch and I have shown it. Now you if you don’t know what a switch is that is different issue
Can the AC version be used for operating a 12v dc fan, Thanks
This is just a switch a mechanical switch. It can turn on or off anything within the power range which o explained.
Using a 220v AC Thermo controller. Could you possibly piggyback the light bulb plug to one of + on the Thermo controller? My goal is to creat one bulb
sorry I did not understand what you are trying to do.

Below I provide a summary of the anomalies I found and what actually occurred AS TESTED.
Instructions AS TESTED:
Connect the power supply and equipment to supply power to the controller. At power-up, the display shows the measured temperature PV.
Press SET. The display temperature will flash, press +- to set the desired temperature SV (press and hold EITHER- to rapidly raise and lower the value.
After finishing, press SET to confirm the retum (will auto-return after 3 seconds). At this time, the controller automatically performs relay on/off according to the setting.
The output of the thermostat is a 220v 10A / 12V 20A rated single pole, single throw relay.
At this time, the display shows the ambient temperature (PV) and the desired temp (SV).
Indicator light & digital display status description:
Indicator light: Blinking indicates cooling or heating start delay (Not found to be true on delivered unit. The LAMP is unlit during the delay period rather than flashing, which is unhelpful).
LED on indicates that the relay contact is closed.
Digital display: PV displays --- when the measured temperature exceeds that of the manually set high temperature alarm value (P6). When this occurs the relay is also becomes de-energised
PV displays LL when the sensor is open circuit or unplugged.
PV display HH When the temperature exceeds the measurement range, the relay will also become de-energised.
AS TESTED POTENTIAL ISSUE- IF THE BUTTON MARKED WITH THE STANDARD 1/0 (ON/OFF) SYMBOL AND LABELLED "RESET" IS PRESSED FOR 1 SECOND, THEN NOT ONLY DOES THE DISPLAY OCCULT, BUT THE RELAY WILL DE-ENERGISE; EFFECTIVELY TURNING OFF WHATEVER DEVICE IS CONNECTED. THIS IS DIFFERENT OPERATION TO THAT DESCRIBED IN MANY VIDEOS AS "DISPLAY GOES OFF ONLY". THIS MAY NOT BE DESIRABLE. THERE APPEARS TO BE NO WAY TO OCCULT THE DISPLAY ONLY WHILST CONTINUING TO FUNCTION AS A CONTROLLER.
Parameter functions:
Press and hold "SET" for 1 second, press "SET" repeatedly to advance through the various parameter functions PO-P8, after 4 seconds without any button action, the
controller automatically returns from any programme mode P0-P8 to display the current measured temperature (PV) and the desired set temperature value (SV).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PO Cooling / Heating mode.
Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, within 4 seconds press ^/v to switch between modes [H is heating mode] [C is cooling mode]. After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.
In the cooling mode: when the temperature measurement value >= the temperature set point, the refrigeration relay is closed and the refrigerator is started; when the
temperature measurement value = the set value, the relay is closed, the refrigerator starts; when the temperature measurement value
Hello. May I ask what is the power consumption of the controller ? Thanks you!
for AC is it so minimal that would be negligible. for DC however you can calculate 10mA for each segment of a digit for example digit 8 has 7 segments(and digit 3 has 5 segments) so 7x10mA=70mA only for one digit. Then the relay consumes about 50mA and 10mA for the board. Do the math.
@@robojax Thank you! The math goes quite high. The digit consumes 10mA but not at 12V. Do you say that only linear regulators are inside? At 12V it can easily be 5W or more. Really so high?
I believe internal regulator is 5V so all the value I gave are at 5V. I wish I had tested the consumption of the module. it never occurred to me because of AC I neglected the power consumption.
Can this controller be connected 230ac in the UK?
I believe I mentioned the village. I don’t remember. Please watch and see .
How to set it to heat up to 50 degrees and keep the temperature between 40 and 50 degrees?
I believe if you watch this video fully, you should not have any questions .
please make a k-type thermistor
I have tone of videos with k-Type using Arduino. just search for it
continued.....
Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, press "SET" repeatedly to advance to P3, within 4 seconds press ^/v to set the lowest settable
temperature, the lowest value is -55C, After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.
For example: set to 2°C, the temperature set point can only be decreased to 2°C minimum. If the desired temperature set point SV must be set lower than this, then the lower limit set value needs to be adjusted first, otherwise the desired value will never reach beyond the P3 value.
------------------------------
P4 Temperature correction / Unit Display versus accurate 3rd party measurement:
When the device's indicated (PV) display deviates from the actual temperature (e.g measured using calibrated temperature measuring equipment) this function can be used for correction. The corrected temperature = temperature before correction + correction value The valid range is -7.0-7.0.
Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, press "SET" repeatedly to advance to P4, within 4 seconds press ^/v to set the correction value. After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.
For example, If the actual temperature (or that measured by a calibrated device) is 25C; when the temperature is corrected to 0, PV displays 25; if a temperature correction value of 1.5 is set, then PV would display "26.5". Likewise, if a temperature correction value of -1.5 is set, then PV would display "23.5".
--------------------------------------------------------------------
P5 Delay Start Time (unit: minutes)
When the refrigerator or heater is required to operate with a delay, e.g. to prevent a refrigerant compressor motor stalling oroverload, the delay function can be turned on to preserve the life of the unit.
Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, press "SET" repeatedly to advance to P5, within 4 seconds press ^/v to set between 0-10 minutes. After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.
In the cooling mode: the first time the power is turned on, if the current temperature >= the set value, the refrigerator will not start the cooling immediately, and
it will run after the pre-set P5 delay time.
In the heating mode: the first time the power is turned on. if the current temperature
I have purchased and tested one of these devices (110-220v with 220v/10A 12v/20A relay).
I have found a number of anomalies with this device compared to this video and several other W3230 instruction sets and videos. As this device posesses a generic micro-controller, there may be any number of differing programs or coding applied and hence a range of differing methods for user operation and setting ranges.
I have prepared a full instruction set as tested, highlighting all of the anomalies, warnings and Cautions. However it is too large to accomodate in this comment section.
