Good to see that New York City Bagel is still there. I really liked Astoria. I stayed there during each of my trips to New York. And if I were to go visit New York again, I’d stay in Astoria again. Nice vibes. Great food. Close enough to Manhattan to get there easily. But far away enough that you don’t get the hustle and bustle. There’s so much to discover in Astoria if you just wander around. I remember being wide awake at some ridiculous hour of the morning and deciding that I was just gonna go for a walk. I had no idea where I was going. But I ended up coming across a part of Astoria which was like a Chinatown.
Good choice with Butcher Bar, they have the best burnt ends I've ever tasted and I've worked all over Texas. I recommend Arepas Cafe on 36th Ave and Pita Pan on 30th Ave as well. Also, Queens is still part of NYC, you gotta pay the NYC city tax in all 5 boroughs.
I used to live there before I moved to Austin Texas. I lived in 44th st and broadway st. very close to steinway st. That neighborhood is very convenient close to everything. i love the greek side of Astoria. I usually go to that beautiful park close to the river facing roosevelt island. Try that famous souvlaki bbq sold by a food truck between 31st st and 31st ave. If you’re still there. Thanks for featuring my former neighborhood in New York and BGC, Philippines! Hope you visit little Manila in Woodside, Queens. It’s like 4 or 5 stops from steinway station.
So many diverse choices. Moved from the Ditmars area to the Florida Keys in 1997, definitely miss the food choices. We have fish and Key lime pie here but that's about it.
So nice to see you wearing another white tshirt lol. NYC is also known for Broadway Shows, did you try for rush or lottery tickets for cheap seats? I was just staying at a hotel near JFK and played at Resorts World and multiplied my gambling!!!
I’m new to this channel, and I love your videos, but are the comments always so negative? It feels like all everyone does is complain. I’m glad you’re enjoying the city, and Astoria is really nice, I stayed there when I first moved to NYC as well.
Bohemian is NOT Soviet-era. It was around long before 1917. I love Butcher Bar, but for your Korean audience, take them to KAL. I am a 36-year resident of Astoria and know the area inside out. I haven't heard the term Metro since I lived in Europe. It's called the subway here in NYC.
"The Metro"? What's that? Also....bars and restaurants are ok, and "diversity" is super cool ,,,, but doesn't Astoria have any parks? What about schools? Parking availability? Riverfront access? Views of Manhattan, etc. Some potential Astorians might even be wondering about churches, synagogues, mosques, temples. Not me, but plenty of other people.
are you sh%ting me. $30 for 1 prezel and 1 fries. you have got to be kidding. rip off. I mean even 15$ sounds too much. in japan it would probably be 1000-1200 yen for both.
Underrated 😂😂 not even close...... The real ones remember this area in the 70 and 80s.....hipsters from the fucking Midwest made this another unaffordable NYC neighborhood
This guy is obsessed with diversity, which is unremarkable to people who are from the area. I wonder if he marvels at tall buildings as well. 😅 For a world traveler he comes across as pretty unsophisticated.
Cool to see you exploring Astoria, one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC.

New York City Bagel and Coffee house is elite and they have locations near all the major subway stops in Astoria
I love Astoria. Thanks for your traveling videos, they are awesome!
I love walking in Astoria when I visited my son...that is where we went shopping for his stuff when he first moved to New York in 2017

Love your video's ❤❤❤
I came up here in August for a quick getaway. I’m moving into an apartment in Astoria tomorrow morning.
So many diverse choices. Moved from the Ditmars area to the Florida Keys in 1997, definitely miss the food choices. We have fish and Key lime pie here but that's about it.
The standing waste bathtub drains are also a staple of NYC.
Great video
You should visit the Halloween house in Astoria. It's amazing.
My mom is from the projects in Astoria. It has definitely undergone some huge changes since I was last there as a teen 😂
What…Zane with a white shirt? Who is this imposter? 😂
he wore a white shirt in Honolulu 2 weeks ago 😋
Omg welcome to Astoria!
So nice to see you wearing another white tshirt lol. NYC is also known for Broadway Shows, did you try for rush or lottery tickets for cheap seats? I was just staying at a hotel near JFK and played at Resorts World and multiplied my gambling!!!

I wish you would have went into the Family Mart… would be cool to see how it compares to the ones in Japan
Loved this thanks def Gina check out Astoria. Question : Does the beer hall sell all types of craft beers (ipas neipa etc...) Or just the German type?

My favorite of your videos. A welcoming neighborhood and the fortune of multicultural influence.
I used to live in Astoria. Go to Corona and Jackson Heights
Wow My neighborhood :)
Welcome to Astoria Zane
How I know you’re from PA: begel instead of bay-gul 😀
the correct way is actually baygel as you would pronounce "bye" and "gal". from german/yiddish "ring"
Begel? It's "baygel" and metro? It's the train....... Rudy's Hobby Shop was originally a soda shop.
You should title this video the Astoria Beers Tour.
bro since ur in ny go to harlem its awesome

It used to be great; when the Greek people were there, it was nice. OPA 😁
Nice
Sorry but you kinda turning the camera too much around the beer garden, i get dizzy, even have pause sometimes.
Astoria underrated its usually considered the best neighborhood in Queens ?😂 my favorite queens Neighbourhood always will be Forest Hills.
I threw up in my mouth a little every time you called the subway "the metro"...
No more PH?

Your camera movements are too fast. It’s hard to watch your videos because the fast movement is giving me a headache.
My first time in North Korea☠️
I bedroom 2300 not cheap
Not tarot reading anymore?

Enjoyed your content for awhile now, especially the Philippines...but the multiple long ads has gotten to be too much, best of luck to you!

An egg bagel? That is not a true New York bagel.
Says you
I not paying 5 dolar for a bagel
Then don’t.
but it's quite big bagel at least for me. i could share it with someone and still feel filled.
So many of his 'fun facts' are simply wrong.
Worst possible choice for a bagel in Astoria
