I mean in the early story of division is definitely similar to how COVID in early 2020, especially the first cinematic opening of division 1. There’s some moments in the first cinematic that people said it didn’t age well. The difference from reality and the division is covid is just a natural virus while the green poison is a engineered virus created by a mad virologist that wants to wipe most of humanity because of greed or the handling of the environment nowadays.

If that’s the case, then there is a grim and terrifying possibility that the division universe could happen irl. Covid is just one natural virus and it caused chaos in the world already, but if it was a virologist who is mad enough to make a super virus combining all virus genes (which idk if that’s possible), then we’re pretty much fucked. Basically the next Black Death but the end of the world if possible. I think Trick Dempsey (who is the story writer in the division) is trying to tell us something this whole time..

If they ever visit Los Angeles, I wonder what new enemies we could see. I came up with three hostile factions and 1 friendly faction in my free time. 1) Highway Kings: a confederation of multiple armed biker gangs led by rogue agents with the goal of carving out their own outlaw country. Largest of the factions. 2) New Horizon: an extremist group believing it was time to establish a new system based on their beliefs. Second largest due to forced conscription of the populace. 3) The Judges: an organization of ex jtf, police officers, veterans, firemen etc with the goal to return order by any means. Inhumane or not. While not the largest, they’re disciplined and coordinated. Friendly Faction: National Guard remnant. A handful of National Guard servicemen who hold the line in certain locations to defend the civilians in their care. As was their duty. The smallest of the factions. Unable to launch any offensives due to their manpower. But hold the most ammunition and weapons to fend off the larger factions attacks.

One can imagine something like The Walking Dead where there's an overall story but there's mini stories along the way. Well in a sense. Sure, eventually the ideas will run out and there will be an end but that's after The Division 10. ;-)
Some days are harder than others...I've drifted away in the past, but can never stay away for long. The story, game mechanics, build diversity - I cant find anything else that truly fulls the gap
@@thedankfish6748 I do like the Destiny franchise, but it doesn't quite do it for me like this game. I think it's because Destiny is too far into fantasy for me to be relatable. Aliens, interplanetary travel, multiple dimensions, and inexplicable technology make it harder for me to connect with it. The Division Series strikes closer to home for me, now more than ever because it takes place in our home, in present day, with a real-world scenario that makes it almost scary.
I think the really terrifying part is the small details put in that you can make into even smaller stories. For example, you can find a stuffed bunny in a locker down in the Metro Tunnels in DC. Maybe this was a bunny some worker bought for his son/daughter, but they never got to give it to them. As a family person, thats the kind of shit that makes me feel.
Same. It broke my heart, so to say, when I saw the shrine Emeline Shaw made for her daughter, then watching all the in game footage of why she was doing what she did. I mean as a father I can feel her pain and think maybe if I was out in that situation and that happened to my child I would do the same.
The one that made me stop playing the game for almost 6 months was finding the echo of the little girl playing with her dolls in her room. The mother was 'sleeping', but ISAC scan shows she had died from flu complications. No body of the little girl....
Absolutely. I was in one of the Dark Zones in Division 2, and I came across a lobby full of slaughtered folk. No idea why, how, when, or where, but I can only imagine what went on in those DZ's
Finished The Division 1 a couple days ago, phenomenal game and holds up incredibly well to this day. Loved the story and immersed myself into every echo and phone recording and agent missing that I found. Really put the story into perspective and made me sympathize even more than I did for the citizens of New York

@@dathip both. 2 is better in every way in my opinion with the exception of new york and being snowy. christmas in new york just to me was the perfect atmosphere. but 2 beats it in every other way i think. both games got as much or more atmosphere than a souls game which is saying alot. i can check out the scenery for hours in an area.

I love your work, NGN. I enjoy The Division story but I'm not always paying attention to it. It's nice to get back to base after a mission and have somebody explain what it was all about. If you did one of those 2-3 hour long all-detail story videos, I'd be onboard.
What's interesting is that at 14:34 we see all these cities come back online and as a Floridian I noticed Jacksonville, Orlando, and Miami are main cities in Florida. Meaning that there's so much potential for Agents to be embedded in towns like mine that are 45 mins away from Orlando. Oh my the cosplay potential Lol
The Division: Florida. Honestly it would be a breath of fresh air focusing a open world game on a larger setting like Jacksonville or Orlando, less vertical traveling and more walking and seeing new environments and people. Mainly because Florida has one of the highest immigrant populations in the country so the chance of new factions popping up would be fascinating from a game play perspective

Started watching your videos a couple weeks back as I picked up division 2 and wanted to catch up again. One thing I've noticed (other then the joke comment before) is you are the one name that's popped up more then most for your work on keeping everyone up to date on lore and what's next and this 30 minute video proves it.
This definitely does refresh my brain on all what happened so far, really is crazy to see how much the division has to go through just to restore order and peace and I know this is what's going on irl ,this game definitely has one of the best stories and sequels so far, well written and executed with a lot plot twists in the works as well, sometimes I actually picture myself in the division's position and I must say takes a lot of mental health and strength to do what they do, thank you for this video bro really enjoyed it with that sexy voice of yours😏😂

I admire your dedication for this franchise. I really like Division 1 and I invested a lot of time in it but after I went to the army, I didn't have the luxury to play games and I lost my touch on the franchise. Your summary of the game is truly godsend for me and I appreciate it a lot! I like the story and twists. Its just that the whole story is build upon betrayals and loss of faith again and again. I quite pity the 1st wave Division agents and that the 2nd wave is the hope of the SHD to right the wrongs the government left behind. I'm still distraught by the scenes recordings left behind by the JTF and Civilians but all the make it makes this game truly unique and realistic as compared to other shooter games out there.

i got the Division 2 on a major discount during lockdown and played it with two of my friends everyday and night. it was the only Division game i've ever played and man was it a shit ton of fun. the tactics that we laid out made it so much more immersive, especially when it's us vs everyone else in the dark zone, trying to get rare loot and items. i remember the final mission agains Keener was absolute bonkers and we had to retry it more than ten times but shit like that made it so much more memorable. really miss playing this with the lads 2 years ago, i can't wait for a Division 3.

The Divison is super underrated, Ubisoft actually nailed it with the first one, the atmosphere, the story, the factions, all just work so good together, loved the missions going through snowy New York with the Christmas decorations up but everything is abandoned and dead

Honestly most people hated on this game so much but really I kinda miss it, the 1st division was way better than the 2nd game and I had such an amazing time playing the 1st one since the beta.
I loved the Division, it and The Witcher 3 were my most played games on my PS4, which I only got for the exclusives and usually played on PC. Honestly though Ubisoft hard shot themselves in the foot by not releasing the second game on steam (I don't quite recall if they did that with the first one. The only reason I played on my PS4 for the first one was because I broke my PC and had nothing else to play on, but the second one they screwed up because when Epic was buying up exclusive titles for there store to try and gain a foot hold, me and a lot of people I know refused to get their launcher because we had had enough of the launcher that every other company had been shoving down our throat for the past years. So I just didn't get it, and now 4 years later when the game is already dead they are finally releasing it on steam, which I'm not going to bother buying because literally no one plays it anymore, and I'm sure the game would have been much more successful if Ubisoft had just said "no exclusives, all platforms and stores" but we'll never really know. Hopefully they make a third one and don't exclusive it to one store, because honestly that IMO kills a lot of games and always has (I'm looking at you too SimCity).

If they're flagged as rogue, they're usually blacklisted from being a Division agent. This means that the agent is stripped of all their authority, power, and connection to the SHD network and are, for lack of a better term, exiled. This means that if that particular agent is ever seen by non rogue agents, the non rogue agents are to gun down the rogue agents where they stand.
Started playing The Division when I came back in Romania from UK and I was into the mandatory two week quarantine in the first months of COVID. It felt surreal.
this game has pushed me into a deep thought of what if. ive decided to start doing some semi prepping just in case...exercise firearms training learning how to grow food and filter water etc!! this game is amzing for these factors!!

This definitely does refresh my brain on all what happened so far, really is crazy to see how much the division has to go through just to restore order and peace and I know this is what's going on irl ,this game definitely has one of the best stories and sequels so far, well written and executed with a lot plot twists in the works as well, sometimes I actually picture myself in the division's position and I must say takes a lot of mental health and strength to do what they do, thank you for this video bro really enjoyed it with that sexy voice of yours😏😂
Do the full story man! I played a lot but honestly I dont even know what the heck is goign on in the game half of the time. You were exactly what I needed before playing 2. Some people will need this for 3 or the next update to 2.

Great commentary of the game. I've played both from when they first came out. I'd put it down but after watching this am going to return to the Division 2. Anyone who is new to this game and had just watched it should go and play it. Great story line. It's got it all.

I admire your dedication for this franchise. I really like Division 1 and I invested a lot of time in it but after I went to the army, I didn't have the luxury to play games and I lost my touch on the franchise.
Your summary of the game is truly godsend for me and I appreciate it a lot! I like the story and twists. Its just that the whole story is build upon betrayals and loss of faith again and again. I quite pity the 1st wave Division agents and that the 2nd wave is the hope of the SHD to right the wrongs the government left behind. I'm still distraught by the scenes recordings left behind by the JTF and Civilians but all the make it makes this game truly unique and realistic as compared to other shooter games out there.
I still play division 1 and 2 like crazy and have no plan to stop!!! Amazing franchise

One of the best gaming story ever!!! I love Division 1 and 2!!!!
i got the Division 2 on a major discount during lockdown and played it with two of my friends everyday and night. it was the only Division game i've ever played and man was it a shit ton of fun. the tactics that we laid out made it so much more immersive, especially when it's us vs everyone else in the dark zone, trying to get rare loot and items. i remember the final mission agains Keener was absolute bonkers and we had to retry it more than ten times but shit like that made it so much more memorable. really miss playing this with the lads 2 years ago, i can't wait for a Division 3.
Div 2 is much easier to get into and play the Div 1

The Divison is super underrated, Ubisoft actually nailed it with the first one, the atmosphere, the story, the factions, all just work so good together, loved the missions going through snowy New York with the Christmas decorations up but everything is abandoned and dead

Honestly most people hated on this game so much but really I kinda miss it, the 1st division was way better than the 2nd game and I had such an amazing time playing the 1st one since the beta.
I loved the Division, it and The Witcher 3 were my most played games on my PS4, which I only got for the exclusives and usually played on PC. Honestly though Ubisoft hard shot themselves in the foot by not releasing the second game on steam (I don't quite recall if they did that with the first one. The only reason I played on my PS4 for the first one was because I broke my PC and had nothing else to play on, but the second one they screwed up because when Epic was buying up exclusive titles for there store to try and gain a foot hold, me and a lot of people I know refused to get their launcher because we had had enough of the launcher that every other company had been shoving down our throat for the past years. So I just didn't get it, and now 4 years later when the game is already dead they are finally releasing it on steam, which I'm not going to bother buying because literally no one plays it anymore, and I'm sure the game would have been much more successful if Ubisoft had just said "no exclusives, all platforms and stores" but we'll never really know. Hopefully they make a third one and don't exclusive it to one store, because honestly that IMO kills a lot of games and always has (I'm looking at you too SimCity).

I wonder, if the agent were flag as a rogue, what will happen to an agent? how will they get their supply and gears to fight through? I guess we'll wait for the new content and see where that leads us to.
If they're flagged as rogue, they're usually blacklisted from being a Division agent. This means that the agent is stripped of all their authority, power, and connection to the SHD network and are, for lack of a better term, exiled. This means that if that particular agent is ever seen by non rogue agents, the non rogue agents are to gun down the rogue agents where they stand.

I would've played and probably enjoyed this game if the multi-player aspect of the game wasn't shoved down my throat. This video helps me understand what the game was actually trying do without me having to play it.
