Love how he has never gone roller blading and proceeds to buy some pretty expensive Urban style blades. Like dude, just get rec skates if you’ve never skated before goodness. Although Urban skating are really good for tricks, durability, and other things, it isn’t as comfortable with the boot being plastic, rec skated are more comfortable, and are therefore easier to get used to on your feet and you could get the hang of it quicker and be better. Trust me, I have both. To all beginner skaters, always get rec skates because you don’t know if you’ll like it or not, or you could be one of those people who just haven’t got the balance needed, you don’t want to have spent 150 dollars on skates you’ll never use again, just buy a 60 or below dollar pair of blades. I would really recommend Roller Derby V-Tech 500s for your first blades. They ride really smooth and are comfortable and are pretty as well. You can always buy better skates if you like it more or wanna do tricks. I do tricks on rec skates as well as urban skates, Urbans are just more durable. You pick and decide. Anything is possible when your on wheels.
