Second death star has 4/5 genocides a day.
One genocide a day *per* Death Star Mk-1
That wasn't its intent. It was meant for mining purposes but sadly the designer hadn't thought of other uses.
And then they were like, “hey instead of taking the kyber crystals from a planet, lets just use the fucking planet”
And after that:
“Oh shit, how about we use star destroyers, and have them have 1 kyber crystal that can alone destroy planets, said crystals are also too big and heavy for the destroyers to even carry.

It's probably so the video isn't copyright striked

As Thrawn and Vader said, I would've rather had 10,000 star destroyers than one death star. I would have rather had tie defenders rather than one death star. Numbers mean more than firepower.
Damn that upgrade from 24 hours to 5 hours is revolutionary in the star wars universe.
imagine opening a door onto one of the unfinished bits and just getting blasted into space 💀
💀
(Theory time) there could've been giants that used the giant kybercrystals as lightsabers
Oh shit
At that point, they aren’t lightsabers anymore. They’re just *L I G H T*
Kyber crystals naturally grow and increase their size in time
What they forgot to mention is the cost of the first Death Star almost broke the economy of the Empire.
The second literally destroyed the economy 2 times over, which was one of the many reasons people joined the rebellion.
The original plan was to build 4 Death Stars in a span of 50 to 100 years.
The new plan was to make 10 Death Stars within 30 years, the major reason was not because of the rebellion but a greater threat from outside the galaxy.
Yep the Vong were that threat.
The sequels are just copying the original trilogy. The first order. The Death Star. Kylo wanting to be Vader. I mean it’s just terrible. They don’t even explain the first order. It’s just poof a second empire
They’re awful
Cry
They messed up in the execution of the story.
-They could've shown empire holdouts fighting the republic. Make the first order the underdogs this time.
-Luke should've rebuilt the Jedi order without the rigidness of the older one.
-Instead of "Somehow Palpatine returned", it should've been a dark side force ghost haunting Kylo Ren. It could've been that Leia was pregnant when Anakin killed Palpatine, and in his dying moments, when his fear and hatred was at it's peak, he could've retained his consciousness by attaching himself to Leia and Han's unborn child. Kylo going batshit crazy and destroying the temple would make sense this way.
- Rey should've been an actual nobody. Luke should've found her when she was young, and should've trained her alongside Kylo. If they wanted to kill off Luke, he should've died protecting his temple from Kylo, allowing some initiates to escape with Rey.
-The First order would be created by Kylo, after he gets the various empire holdouts under his control. They shouldn't have Starkiller. They should be insurgents, slowly gaining ground.
-All this should happen in the first movie. It should end with Luke dead, Rey and some Padawans safely on Corusant, and Kylo in control of One of the empire holdouts.
@@akshatsharma8787 or like George Lucas had it where Darth maul was the main antagonist and Leia was found to be the chosen one
@@Pieceofdatoast I was just fixing Disney's version.
“Its a trap!”
Imagine if they had just put like one way force fields on all the exhaust ports, fighters slam against them from one side, exhaust ports freely from the other.
I know they were put there on purpose as an Achilles heel for the Death Star, but it would have been game over if an engineer had noticed the error and taken initiative.
It’s funny how the second Death Star was meant to correct the mistakes of the first one but although the hole to the reactor had been patched up they still left giant tunnels straight to the reactor so large that the millennium falcon could fit through. And still they didn’t wait until it was finished to use it in action.
Because they were still building it. So of course they had to have holes big enough for ships to fly into. That thing was as big as a moon. So they needed to be able to fit ships inside that were carrying parts.
The rebels didn't have a choice. If completed, the second Death Star would have been nearly unstoppable. The designer added an additional 25,000 turbolasers to make the station able to handle starfighters, and the exhaust was dispersed through millimeter wide heat dispersion ducts. So the rebels only shot to destroy it was while it was still under construction.
Knowing that Lucas had the deathstar destroyed in ep4 because he wasn't sure it would be a success makes me think there was no second deathstar, only a half destroyed one. Also Lucas hiring children to play ewoks because there weren't enough 7ft tall people to play wookies make me think the deathstar was being repaired in kashyyk's orbit.
All in all, a much, much better scenario
The power required for the main weapon is one thing, but unless it's towed place to place by the super star destroyers that things gotta have hyperdrives.
I wouldn't want to pay that light bill
The death star has a hyperdrive too
@@nocturn9x lol can you imagine how much power that would take?

The second Death Star was also almost double the diameter of the first Death Star whilst having a class 2 hyperdrive instead of the death star 1s class one (The higher the number, the better the class)
Wait, I think you've got it backwards. The lower the number the better the class (1 is better/faster than 2 for hyperdrives). I think maybe the first Deathstar had a class2 and the second one had a class1, but I'm less sure about that. That's all just my understanding from UA-cam vids lol.
@@revenevan11 ok but I got my information from a book distributed by Lucasfilm. Thanks for trying to help me though.
Moral of the story, don't let the empire finish anything.
“So..about that exhaust port. Should we make it X-Wing size?”
“Nope…Millennium Falcon size.”
So does that mean the second death star is a rechargeable nuke (at the devastating clip thing)
I always felt that the second death star wasn't really a death star and that it's full purpose was only to set up an irresistible trap for the rebellion (hence a whole big enough for a ship to fly through that lead straight to the core)
First Order: "we'll make that but bigger"
And better, they definitely did it better, fucking thing took out a couple of planets with one single shot somehow most probably making their kill count higher than the empire
Yeah upgraded but also had a hole that led to the reactor core that was big enough for a whole ship to could fit inside!
I wonder, what if Vader had bled the giant kyber crystals, would it have amplified the power of the Death Star?

Operational doesn't meant complete. Cars can be fully operational but not complete.
I also guess Palpatine was referring to the weapon systems specificly since things like the internal shield generators or the hyper drive obviously weren't operational.
It could technically shoot every three minutes. They fired multiple times in the battle of endor, once at The Liberty and once at The Nautilian rebel cruisers (I assume these shots weren't at full power, though this is just a theory). Those shots were not 5 hours apart. Assuming you meant shooting at full planet-killing power, then I could see 5 hours being a reasonable recharge time

I thought the 2nd death star acted as bait for the rebellion to round them up and kill them all at once. Also bait for luke to fight his father and give in to the dark side.
The 2sd was only there because Lucas realised the mistake of destroying it completely in ep 4.
Vulnerable to small fighter attacks *fits the entire millennium Falcon and only losing one part
Starkiller base, also known as thick deathstar vs second deathstar
The DS-1 was a weapon to enforce fear upon the Galaxy. The DS-2 was a fleet killer meant to recapture the galaxy.
Also, small note: the second Death Star’s vulnerabilities weren’t exhaust ports. They were maintenance and supply corridors that hadn’t been sealed yet because ships had to keep going in and out to service the reactor under construction.
Apperently, they could have just crashed some spaceshipes at lightspeed to get the same effect

Actually, dark energy is the evidence the first Big Bang is the first Big Bang mate. The universe is constantly expanding at an exponential rate, implying that the universe won’t recollapse but will instead rip itself apart and perish due to heat death

Same coin, different side
Every shot on the second was recharged in 5 minutes, trust me.
The amount of dedicated engineering needed for the Death Stars in unbelievable. Kudos to the Empire.
The first death star could also use a single reactor for smaller shots, they expressly say in Rouge one (despite the fact the station isn't fully operational) to only use a single reactor, implying the idea that multiple could be used as well only one
I gotta say a red death star laser looks pretty cool.

The second death star probably recharged faster, because of the bigger exhaustion port.
That endor shield generator looked so cool with its satellite dishes inside of a bigger satelite dish

I just remember watching the first movie as a tween after buying the comic book before the movie, it was confiscated while in school but I read it from page one thru too the end so many time's that the ink was rubbing off the page's 😂
The image of DS2 firing at a ship looks like it's looking directly at it. "Oh no you don't. 👁️"

"For my ally is the Death Star.
And a powerful ally it is."
Destroyers in the last movie: well we got that too but even beter
I remember blowing it up in a Lego Star Wars game. Good memories
Actually, if the Second Death Star had been completed, it probably would have been unstoppable. It was designed with a ton of millimeter-wide slots on the hull to negate the need for two-meter exhaust ports directly to the main reactor. The only reason the fighters could get in at all was because the station wasn’t completed.
Imagine if they just installed more Shield Generators than just one.
When the Russian saw this movie and then they heard Reagan talking about Star Wars they were really scared, they believe that we were developing this type of weapon
You sure we ain't?
Honestly a red beam would have looked more sinister, but green is one of the most powerful beams IRL. Plus, they'd have to bleed the crystal, which... good luck.
The look of the Death Star with that perfect sphere and light gray smooth design in the first movie with a red planet begind it, and then a significantly more inbuilt section of a larger version with a menacing look to it, and a greener planet gave forsight to the moods of both films. New hope represents shades of yellow to red, empire strikes back represents blues, and return of the jedi is very much green centered. What does this mean? Styling choices., that's all, oh and the lightsaber colors.
In the rise of Skywalker Palpatine had somehow built death stars into his entire fleet of cruisers...
I mean, technology does evolve.
The mechanism does not change - using large cyber crystals.
But the power efficiency and space efficiency did.
Likewise, old computer took up entire rooms and operated very slowly. Now people carry computers more powerful than that in their pockets….
Similarly, when people developed guns for the first time, they had terrible penetration, were heavy and had awful reload time. Nowadays all of these downsides have been gotten rid of.
Death Star was just a proof of concept, kinda like an extremely rudimentary but working nuclear reactor. Now a proper, effective reactor of similar power outage can be easily fitted in a stadium-scale, instead of a moon-scale.
Assuming that “Death Star” technology could not evolve is… foolish. That is not how scientific progress works.
@@kingol4801 you know what's more foolish? Trying to defend this shit deus ex machina plot development.

Imagine having a weapon that can destroy a planet then be ready to go again in a day, and going, "nope, not fast enough."
Just the thought of destroying a habitable planet when so much of space is a dead void is the most insane thing to me.
Honestly, if the blasts were red like you edited, the death star would be much more terrifying… much more terrifying
If you look the 2nd death star has a 9th larger kyber laser that shot from the center of the 8 others
Something that most people don't know is that all of the movies actually take place over a period of months to years in addition to the time between the movies taking similar amounts of time. The next thing is that the period of time taken isn't standardized in any screen wipe or other time change in the series regardless of how they are shown.

Imagine if all the budget of Empire spent on these 2 disco balls was spent on an army of those Dark Troopers from Mandalorian.
Makes sense when you think about how inventions like this work. If you manage to build something that takes you a long time to figure it out and finish, whenever you build a second one it’ll take a lot less time.
The Empire probably went through several iterations and designs before finishing the first Death Star. From there, they now have the blueprints to build another one without said iterations. Plus it’ll be much easier to upgrade.
Prime example: Computers.
