In today's livestream, join Joshua Casper in welcoming Sebastian a.k.a. Seb. He's the Product Specialist / Audio & Video Creator for u-he.
During the stream he will be presenting the Hive 2 synth VST plugin in three chapters:
1. Giving an overview of the interface, explaining some basics like the oscillators (wavetables!), different filter types (including some exotic delay-based models), modulation matrix, sequencers and effects.
2. Demonstrate some selected presets that are especially geared towards keyboard performance and real-time manipulation. Highlights: X/Y pads, shape sequencer, mod-wheel, aftertouch and A/B Controllers.
3. Showcase a track consisting of Hive-Only sounds (percussions, bass, electric piano) along with tweaking the parameters to fit the context and then hopefully end up with a pleasing result!

Ahoy there! I managed to hack the entire internets and fake screenshots and such, now I'm a happy Hive 2 user. Strolling through presets, picking favourites, overwhelming stuff, thanks a lot to Plugin Boutique and u-he! Und Danke an Sebastian für's Ziehen der richtigen Zahl.

Wow, I've been using Hive 2 for years, and it's definitely my number one VST synth! This plugin is simply unbeatable when it comes to arpeggios, sequences, and captivating pads. It has a permanent place in my music production toolkit, and I highly recommend it to any musician. Great presentation, which only increased my enthusiasm for this fantastic tool! 👍🥰
His lil cousin DS Thorn is also impressive with solid sequence options (glitch sequencer), spectral filter, wavetable editors, noise osc. as a sample reader. A bit more cpu impacting but surely underrated .
Thanks for this Video. I'm just starting out. This will be my second synth investment. I've been waiting months for the U-He Black Friday sale and what an amazing Synth to get at $69 on PB Boutique right now. This synth is absolutely amazing. Sounds are clear and crisp and it has 3 engine modes clean/normal/dirty. Endless arps seqs... Lush pads, beautiful plucks. Very useable musical presets masterfully created.
I own Hive2, and re-streaming later on I just can say it is a fantastic plugin I often want to go back to.
Germany is really the cradle of synths and Berlin scene`s a celebration of them !
The walk through performed by Seb / Hyboid is effectively one of the best I `ve attended on this channel, the project prepared in amount with a hint of live part is really solid and pleasant.
