hahaha. Try jbcc area. but other than city centre/main town. Suburban areas like skudai, bukit indah, senai are pretty quiet. but due to rapid development and lack of public transit, the traffic is getting worse in even suburb areas.
Javanese in indonesia use "anu" too. Which is reasonable why it's a common word in johor coz the state has a large javanese community. We use "anu" 1. To start a convo when you feel nervous. 2. To express something that you dunno how to express. 3. To replace dangerous words 😂

I'm Johorean for 38years.. i've spent most of my youth time in Selangor,KL n Seremban when i was a student . I've tried variety of food,n witnessed some different cultures in Kedah,Penang,Terengganu,Melaka,Sabah n etc while i was working back then... i do enjoyed all of that,i really do.. but i always had this homesick kinda feeling for quite some time... there's always like a missing pieces in my soul whenever i think of JB..haha.. I love that the fact JB is not as hectic as KL and the food is awesome..and the fact that my mom was staying in JB at that time (i know these sounds a lil cliche.. bet everyone has this same kinda feeling about their hometown.. lol..) I remember i always had this freakin excited feeling whenever i'm goin back to Johor...there's one time i'm driving back n played Going to California by Led Zeppelin in my car ..... i mean the feeling.... ?? !! Priceless!

One thing I missed about Johor is the 'KOPI'.. Johor have so much Kopitiam and different brew of coffee.. and it's different from daerah to daerah. Kopi Kluang,Kopi Muar,Kopi Rengit etc.. And I love to go to Kopitiam in Johor cuz you can see multiraces enjoying their coffee as one.

Can the JB city town council do something about the thrash, littering on our streets especially commercial areas. It's unsightly. We have good examples of other Johor cities eg Kluang and Muar doing a good job but I can't say the same about JB. The back lanes of all commercial shops are not only dirty but unkempt. If you have been to Sarawak Kuching, you will see what a wonderful job their town council has done. We don't need to learn from other countries. We have good city examples in Malaysia. So buck up! I hope our dear Sultan will do a "kembara JB city" and start barking at those who are responsible to keep our cities clean. Not just those areas where our Sultan lives. No shortcuts please!!

I'm from segamat johor, precisely from labis and the funfact that outsider always ask me is durian segamat. Actualy as a people in there, we also don't have durian in our farm, almost palm tree or rubber tree have lah.
Yes because Labis and Chaah landscape differs from northern parts of Segamat (Segamat town, Buloh Kasap, Bt. 6, Gemas Baru and Pekan Jabi) due to the differences in land type (gambut vs tanah merah).
I am from johor but after form 5 studied in kl and after that works and lived in another state. I had been to all states in Malaysia due to my job but I remembered that I had been to all districts (daerah) in Johor except Pontian (where the southern most tip in mainland Asia situated). Not until I retired that I had not been able go to pontian.

I am from johor but after form 5 studied in kl and after that works and lived in another state. I had been to all states in Malaysia due to my job but I remembered that I had been to all districts (daerah) in Johor except Pontian (where the southern most tip in mainland Asia situated). Not until I retired that I had not been able go to pontian.
