Since the second part was able to combo after 1st part connects on a downed opponent. Nowadays you can't do that. Not very strong anyways however.. first hit could fish into full hit confirm if opponent tries to instant ukemi or delayed getup & ofc it could be repeated for a cheese round. I believe side rolling avoided this but every other action was stuffed by it. If memory served right, the hit box was spotty on female & smaller characters. But it did work. Lol

paul didn't had his b1 2 punish..df2 had very less range ff2 1 could be ducked and launched(2nd hit) so death fist was the best option for whiff punishing..
@@mwkan772 yes i agree, what i meant was, i think ewgf is harder to whiff punish with execution-wise, i was just talking about the comparison of the 2 moves :3

i remember when i first watch people play t7, everyone doing demoman like it was nothing lol. then i tried it, it was super easy compare to old 4 and 5 which has a very small window.
Demo Man move is hard to do in perfect frame. When done right, it deals more damage but the timing has to be perfect. I can pull it off but no way near consistent with it.

I'm a huge Paul fan but Tekken 5 Paul was shit. Probably his worst version in the entire series, though TTT1 comes close. I went to the dark side and used Heihachi 😈because he was overpowered. (2,2+1 whoring).
He was okay in this game. He gained b+2 (u/b+2 from T7 onwards) a safe, CH-launching knockdown mid that tracks well to both directions and is only i16 in this game. He also has great block punishment, strong keep-out and respectable damage (including wall damage). T5.0 Paul is all in all not a bad character. He just doesn't really hold a candle to the plethora of obnoxiously overtuned characters in this game. TTT1 Paul, on the other hand ... he be trash.

The timing of the Tekken 6 version of his blue particles Demo Man wasn't as strict as it was in Tekken 5.

This paul version is my favourite, hard execution, hard reward, high risk and jelly satisfaying,
but he was weak
