Maybe yes, maybe no... in the end it's all very subjective. Preconceptions about brand and status tend to act as a filter to human perception. What might sound "the best" to you may not to someone else. So many stratospherically priced speakers and oddly they all sound very different from one another. Id expect at this price level the sound would tend to converge but strangely it doesn't. Most statement products have their legions of fans. Some folks mark the Martin Logan Neolith as the holy grail of speakers. Others won't listen to anything but the top flight Apogee ribbons or the Focal Grand Utopia EM Evo or MBL. I still consider the updated Dynaudio Evidence to be one of the most musically accurate loudspeakers available. Some of the redone JBL pro products of Kenrick Sound of Tokyo are a revelation as well as are the behemoths from Rey Audio. Rey Audio produces products that can stop a seasoned Wilson fan in his tracks. Spend your money wisely, enjoy your toys and most importantly, forget the hardware... just enjoy the music.

lol mate, they are all custom made for wilson audio with their own specifications exactly for what they need them, plus look at how they are built and what materials are used, not to mention the cost to make them, they actually make their own crossover parts apart from the caddoc resistors, u need to pay for employees, for electricity, for maintenance of the machinery etc, im sure they take probably around 2 weeks to build them, i know how all this works as i work as high end furniture maker(cabinet maker) we make kitchens that cost £150.000 and it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to make and the materials maybe cost £30.000 so think again
M8 they are praising the design this and that , but the first thing you learn in Electroacoustics and that is what i Studied , is that an ideal Speaker is a Point source . Now when you know that , take a look at these once more . What does it look like . It looks like PA speakers , on stage you have Bass drivers down around the stage , and mids and highs hanged along sides in a line array. ITs exactly what you see here . Why is it like that , its like that because that is the best way to fill a room with sound , its effective . But its a compromise . You will be pressed harder to find the panorama on those then you would be for example in a Coaxial speaker , or headphones . Much harder . But it does have its benefits , its speed and sound pressure . Its lots of sound , but not very precise sound in Time alignment area .
You really don't know what you are talking about, do you? The Wamms are perfectly time aligned and behave like a virtual point source. And the sound is absolutely amazing!...
@@TheHIFICLUBEbyJVH Thats you speaking , you tell me i dont know what im saying , yet it is you thinking that PERFECT TIME ALIGMENT , makes something sound like a point source .It doesnt , Example , your Surround System home theater is perfectly time aligned , if not you can set it You still hear back speakers from the back , and fronts from front , and center from center . Those Words Time Alignment have nothing to do with physical position detectability or auditability . Aligned or not Aligned ,you hear where it is coming from if you can But you can not have a Flat response if Time alignment is not perfect and that is why it is important to have it aligned . Its not making something in to point source , nor will it brake a point source . It will brake the Frequency Response if its not aligned . And it will Tilt the stereo image if its not aligned . So i trust it is aligned , but its harder to listen to Stereo Image if there are more drivers . You stereo image turns in to a chorus , becomes fat , and less precise , impossible to go around that . If you want that good you need to have all speakers on axis, liek Coaxial or full range drivers. ITs how it is .
I have not heard the Wamms, but I have heard other Wilson speakers and they are not only panoramic, having a great sound stage, but they are also holographic. They convince the ear that that it's hearing the real thing. It's a very palpable image. And they are precisely time aligned and this alignment can be finely adjusted to suite the listening position. You need to hear a Wilson speaker, before you criticize them. That way it won't seem as if you are clinically deaf.
