I like this version of little bark bark lol minimal barking. 😅 I appreciate your more than okay taking the compressor down to clock it. You spent 500 for it and got to fiddle with it a little to make it right. Sometimes it’s a fair trade. And you don’t have to wait on another to get the ball rolling. Thanks for the video sir.

Morning Mr Paydirt. Glad to hear you watch over Mr Griffin. Girlfriend's dog got attacked by yotes when she was 10 weeks old. 😳 Now at night when she hears them she's ready to come inside. 😊

Thanks for the video Mr PayDirt, when it comes to rebuilding reconditioned parts, the quality companies have the name of the person who did the job on it, that way the customer and the business owner knows who to blame, easiest form of quality control. Good to know the coyotes are catching on about how bad cholesterol is to their diet and are leaving Mr Griff alone. Cheers from down under.

Great video Jeff glad to see that new rebuilt compressor is nice and clean and is ready for use. Just not assembled correctly. But once you get the new gaskets for it and reassemble is the right way. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Jeff.

Shame the way things are nowadays with parts. There trying to make one part fit many applications now.
That plug needed to come out in your situation, because your oiling the compressor from the front drive.
The plug was there to block oil when oiled from the back bearing end via a external hose.
Agree roller bearing superior in that application,(think small engine), but
the Babbit bearing should be fine.

I had a motorcycle once.. the guy who rebuilt it used too much silicone and the cheap stuff too, it blocked the screen for the oil pump, destroyed the crankshaft, I like HYlomar blue sealer, made by Permatex. It never blocks anything and any excess comes out at the oil change

My cousin put a water pump and thermostat in his Chevy pickup useing blue silicone… a couple months later he turned on the heat and got none… turns out his heater core was plugged up with the blue silicone…..now that was a lot of excess silicone 😂😂😂

When they said to use copper coat they must have meant copper gasket adhesive??
Actual copper coat (anti seize) would have let those gaskets come apart nice and intact.
Personally on something like that I would use anaerobic sealant, put a very tiny bead then run it between my fingers to smear a thin skim coat over the whole gasket. Then no leaks.
I do the same thing with silicone too, that way you don’t get the big globs squeezing to the inside and causing havoc.
Permatex “Right Stuff” (Black one minute gasket maker)for oil related things you don’t want to leak ever and dont need to come apart regularly. Truely amazing stuff.
Permatex “ultra Grey” for coolant related gaskets.
Then anaerobic sealer for what I consider big “permanent” installations. Like the Torque converter on the back of a Dozer. Once its on you definitely don’t want leaks. And it’s staying on until it absolutely must come off.
Although right stuff works good for this application also. Im not sure why I pick one over the other for certain things.

Parts people…. Making mechanics lives miserable on a daily basis. It used to be you ordered parts from a guy that used to work on stuff till he couldn’t turn wrenches. Now most parts people don’t know an engine from a transmissions

One of my Michigan loaders has an air compressor that is oiling the air lines pretty aggressively. I’ll be ass-deep in that one eventually.

550 compressor - replaced unloaders, air dryer, govenor - worked great for and hour .. now compressor won’t unload - dryer purging rapidly -
Is it possible the unloader seats have gone bad ? Or possible obstruction in cylinder head ?or new govenor went bad out of box ?

    • @Jpaydirt
      @Jpaydirt  8 місяців тому +1

Check the air supply hose that hooks to the governor for obstructions or damage, if the governor doesn't get the signal pressure it can't operate

I don't care what color silicone is ,but if it's used improperly it causes problems ,years ago ,I'd reseal the steering clutch covers on the d9s and the d8 ,the cat boys said to use there red monky snot I'm shure they have a different name ,but I'd clean and dry those parts ,silicone them and it solved the problem
