This video was so funny! But in all seriousness, playing in the heat is tough and can be dangerous. My issue with the heat is cramping. It usually happens during my last match of the day. What works for me is sodium tablets. Take one before each match and Im good to go.
Thank you! You're absolutely right! Stay hydrated with water and electrolytes like you said! I have an issue with cramping as well. I haven't found a good solution yet. I just pray I don't.
Great Video, outdoor tennis in Texas truly separates the boys from the men
Thanks!
Have a cooler filled with ice-water and put towels in there, so then on the changeover you can drape it over yourself. It feels so good. Straight ice is too jarring/cold when it's hot out.
That works!
I always use a damp towel. Makes me feel way less tired because the cold loosens you up and improves circulation.
I will try that!
Yesss need a video like this for tennis! How to deal with the heat!
good timing it’s gonna be 100 degrees here in St Louis 😮💨😮💨😮💨
It's HOT!
I played a tournament a couple days ago in 107 heat, we all died
Wow....
In the old days, players used to put cabbage leaves under their hats to keep them cool.
Did it work? lol
It works. Professional players used this method in old days. ua-cam.com/users/shortsB-lERLEMKEg?feature=share
The most obvious answer to avoiding the heat is to play indoors! 😜
Great idea!
How do I prevent sweat from rolling onto my hands and eventually going onto my grip? I have a big problem with this. I tried wrist bands, but they don't feel very comfortable. Any other recommendations?
Have you tried chalk ?
@@zacharyokwuosa9979 I used rosin a little bit which is similar, but it feels super dry so I only use it sometimes, but might have to use it more often to get used to it
You can try Tourna Grip. It absorbs the sweat well and it stays tacky when wet. I personally do not use it since I use wristbands and my hands don't sweat too much. Or you can try putting a towel in the back court so you can wipe off between points.
You can also try some kind of gel/lotion (I think Prince makes one) that helps make your hands drier like the rosin.
@Dan B thanks man ill look it up
@@ChangBangTennis thank you for the response sir, ill definitely look it up. Nice vid btw, keep up the content
Commenting this so I can be in the next Changbang outro 🔥
I got you.
Drink more than you think you need. A bit of Gatorade helps too
Yes, water and electrolytes!
Dealing with the Houston heat is not fun. And summer is just beginning. It's going to get much worse.
Do you do any coaching lessons? I'm currently looking for a new coach. I can message you on UTR for details if you are available. Also, where in Houston are the clay courts shown in this video?
Thank you for your comment. I do not currently coach, feel free to message me on UTR. The clay courts are at River Oaks.
Hey @Changbangtennis, I stop moving my feet during matches, What should I do?
Move your feet.... lol.
All this time I thought you were a college player 🤦🏻
😂 I’m old.
