      Precisely.
      Your reflection of the world is a reflection of who you are. Says a lot about our leaders in the West.
      Our leaders a children of the Golden Age of the West, growing up with the world looking up to them. Despite everything they’ve done, many of our leaders have gone unpunished for their crimes.
      If children who are never punished become spoiled brats and selfish adults, I wonder what that would make grown adults who’ve never been punished for decades.

    JM’s is unapologetic imperialist and US empire cheerleader. His views in regard to China are narrow-minded, hubristic and delusional. No amount of smearing, interference and provocation by the US could stop China’s advance and development.
    This is not the 19th or 20th century, US hegemony is going down. The US would continue to be an influential country, but so will other rising countries, chiefly China, Russia and India.
    The US empire would be wise to accept the reality of the multi-polar world order, adapt and adjust.
    Taiwan is part of China. Get out! It’s none of your f****** business.

    • @gregoryedwards9097
      @gregoryedwards9097 День тому

      Realism is such a self fulfilling prophecy. The same way that China did everything it could to not only learn from the West, but to also safeguard itself from what it saw happen to other nations including the USSR and the Middle East. The US would benefit a lot from learning from China. We do not have all the answers.
      Realism will end this world, 4.5 billion years of evolution gone, and we only have about less than a billion years left before it expands to a Giant Red Sun. God knows how many million years or if ever if intelligent civilizations will resurface if we blow up this whole world.

    China strategic is economic. China is the largest trading partner of All the countries listed as “partners” in Asia, - including India.
    China operates differently than Western countries. Historical and present, Chinese consumers goods and market have been the draw for foreign countries.
    Asia is not a place for military hegemony. The current policy of the US to stop China instead of competing will lead to China dominating Asia and the rest of the world.

    Deindustrialization by the developed world was due to developed world corporates choosing to outsource production to countries with cheaper labour so as to maximize profits for shareholders. This has benefited business owners in the developed world, but hallowed out manufacturing. The export model was encouraged by rich multinational corporates. His logic is faulty.

    I chuckled when Colby said US should act with "focus" to preserve its hegemony in Asia because he failed to explain how to overcome the fact vast majority of Asian countries have no interests in dying for the American Empire. People everywhere cares primarily for their own security and prosperity, and if the Beltway Blob makes them less well off than what Zhongnanhai offers, then they will turn their backs on the Imperium; which is what has happened in recent years.

    The argument that China should not be allowed to dominate South East Asia is based on the assumption that that China wants to dominate South East Asia the same way as America dominates other countries using military force. This may be an incorrect assumption. China’s dominance rests on trade, business, economics and technology selling to south east Asia products the Asians wants at low prices. China has not invaded a single country in the last 40 years and the conflicts in the South China Sea is a reaction at being encircled by American bases in South Korea, Japan, Phillipines and Guam. America can re-industriallise but the the south East Asian market is unlikely to buy American products because it will be too expensive. Countries in the West , Europe, Australia and New Zealand will be the best markets for products from a re industrialised America. I can’t see the people in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Pakistan and the central Asian republics with a much lower per capita income able to afford American made products. The people of China will buy their own locally made products.
