das ist das krasseste was ich bis jetzt gfesehen hab,
vor allem weil das alles auch sehr professionell und sauber gemacht ist
TOP!
just one word......awesome
Wow! that's wicked.
it seems to be really violent!
This and Volvo's T5 engine = epic.
You win.
@tpvalley OMG so many ppl don't know about the glorious 5 cylinder Audi engines! I love them!
audi 5 cyl, best sound evar!
Van Kronenburg Autosports based in the netherlands relies on KMS engine management
Only the best engine Audi ever made..
This one's from a TT-RS, one of the new 2.5 Engine's. :)
Very cool monstrosity! 5*
@22j77 and they sound beautiful
I sooooooo want on of these engines in my 8L S3 :P
@vinnie01 I'm not sure if you realise just how many high end cars have a spaceframe chassis. This one just happens to have no body panels.
sick..
Beautiful titanium headers!
Steel not titanium.
Its titanium because it glows purple and not red
Michael Grewe It's steel. That's a common camera filtering issue. You can tell by the welds it's steel.
fwiw - i also think its steel, My bmw has a titanium header and it is a tan color when cold. And yeah a camera with a poor IR-filter will give the purple effect - looks cool though... anyway - this is one awsome autocross buggy - titanium header or not :)
nothing like the sound of a old AAN motor!!
You guys are CRAZY!.................I wanna ride! :-)
@basslover352 Perfect sound
very cool! What transmission is that in there?
How comes it shows a Garrett GT42 during build up but a Holset HX40 on the dyno?
I'm pretty sure I would NOT drive that. My goodness that is machine is for the mad!
So you took a v10, cut in half to make a straight 5?? Is that correct? Amazing. Had no idea this could be done.
Is heat blue in Germany?
It still sounds like a V10.
5 cyl is very agresive engine ! ...
Compound turbo setup!? :D
wtf the pipes turned blue!!1 that's the first time i have seen that. most others turn orange.
Dear santa
the engine is reliable enough, its only problem is the gearbox that keeps breaking. its fitted to a french sadev gearbox. a brand frequently used in the dakar rally's. we know your kind of desert races and the mendeola gearboxes uused, they are very expensive and also break when raced hard...
@tpvalley I take it you've not heard of the TT RS or the RS3 then? :)
do you literally cut it in half or just use an audi 5cyl?
How much cost an Audi TT-RS engine in Euro?
@22j77 I have a 5 cylinder vw golf but this sounds more beast
dam do u make these
Did you really cut a V10 in half ?
Sounds dope but how exactly did you cut a v10 in half??
I don't think they did, as the name suggest's I think this is the 2.5 engine from a TT-RS. The Audi 5 banger has always been a beastly little motor.
Very curious to know what transmission is that.
maybe a sadev
700+bhp in some scoffolding? some people are just insane :)
I would call it.. More resourceful methods ;)
Wrong, The TDI 5-cylinder was from Audi.
wake the dead sheeeeeesh
6 bolt crank... This is a VW 07k 2.5l engine.... Not a ttrs engine. Hope you guys aren't charging your customers TTRS prices for cheap VW engines.
vw makes audi...do the math...
And your point? the six bolt crank is a from a VW motor the 07k, only early models came with forged cranks. The engine in this and other videos is listed as a TTRS engine the TTRS engine is similar in form but with an 8 bolt forged crank and forged rods and pistons (never with a 6 bolt) and direct injection. The block itself is made of cast venacular graphite whereas the 07k has interchangable parts but a cast iron block, cast pistions, port injection, and in all but the earliest models a cast crank... So you do the math, charging someone 10-20k for a motor that can be bought in the 500 dollars is a bait and switch on a massive scale.
07k

Thank you for saving me the time to research that, it was what I was thinking as soon as I seen this.
@@nkorniev you dumb if you reach 750hp neither ttrs engine neither vw 07k has stock parts, so doesn't matter which block was used because all parts you can put to both engines and cost are the same...
that things going to burn rubber on sand and turn it into glass
sounds like an audi group b rally car
You're joking about the cutting, right?
The Volvo 5 pot was Audi's...
for all that effort should just have used the audi head with a custom bottom end rather than cutting a v10 in half- same amount of effort maybe more in the halfing.
Sucks to be the person whose car is parked on that street..
If you are kidding I would like you to know that if you're not it's funnier!
In ameica we call this a mid travel sand rail. In a desert race that would dnf.
Oh, its a single seater, Can I drive? OH!
It sounds so angry...
Watcht he video again genius, they cut a v10 in half, I cant imagine why they didnt use a 5 cylinder.
Try harder.
Whyd you put it in a dune buggy? haha
that sound... = 0
Like f 1 =D
nah audi 5 cylinder engines sound better. Uneven burning cycle (>1>2>4>5>3>) gives them an unmistakable sound.
stupides comment ever...Audi has a 5 cylinder engine, used in TTrs and RS3
