I'm listening to it again after almost 40 years. I bought the album LP in 1986. It won me over at the first listen.
so do I
I personally prefer this over the original LP, but I still love it! Glass is such a master. I'd love to see an epic arrangement of this kind for. "The Photographer" one day. That is one of the more underrated of his masterpieces.
Why the best musics are the most underrated?
Музика магічна! Дякую автору та виконавцю. 🧚♀️💙💛
Very cool! One of my favorite Glass albums. He is one of the few composers whose music can be reimagined to great success. This is an excellent performance. The musicians overcame many challenges to bring this to life. Bravi to all involved.
Beautiful ❤
PHANTASTIC! This will definitely be an added bonus to my Philip on Phriday playlist!
Göttlich ❤
So impressive! Thank you, thank you!
Es HERMOSO !!!
This is magnificent. And extraordinary.
😮 I want to hear it live!
It’s great performance indeed! Thanks so much my brothers. Greetings from Saint-Petersburg

One of the great evocative musical works of its time

Magnífico! Belíssima performance! Maravilha!
Wow, wow et wow !!
Wow!
Perfect songs to read the subjective forms of the clouds and to follow with a tender eye the grooves of the stems of the trees; appreciate the complex writing of the nested branches, taste the colors of the decomposition of light into water droplets in a garden, and strongly feel the wet soil of ancestral forest to perceive the traces of animals from deep past 🍍
Totally !
@@CONSCIOUSmESS-q6b 🤠
I'll give that a triple plus, both to the composer and also to the singers!
Thanks for my morning meditation
Beautiful !
When Glass composed this, and when it was first performed, he intended the interpretation to be entirely open-ended regardless even of interpretations that took place under his guidance. Here, there is a different kind of power, and the performance finds something that I never found before. It still has its low-brow theme, or "continuo", if I can call it that, which I think is inescapable in this composition. Each interpretation says something different. I am very grateful to the producers and arrangers of this performance for a window into this set of songs that is valid, and powerful. Bravo to the choir and soloists and conductor and arranger.
I started crying around 30'
Wow!
Glorious performance - thank you - up there with the Crouch End Singers - would love to be there
Magnificent! Great find. Saved to playlist. Thank You!
Fantastic!
A great perfomance! Congratulations
magnifique C'est merveilleux
sublime......
This is truly magnificent. Amazing job. Well done!
Fantastic ❤️
Erg mooi! Very beautiful!
The singers on the original album were wonderful (especially Janice Pendarvis on "Freezing"), but these singers are even better. Bravo!!!
Janice Pendarvis only sings in LIGHTNING.
@@pepelanstrum6923 You are right, it's "Lightning"!
@@rsablosky you're thinking in Linda Ronsdat😉
@@pepelanstrum6923 I like Ronstadt on "Freezing," but I love Pendarvis on "Lighting."
Fantastic music! Unbelieveable great!
magnificent! thank you!
FANTASTIC !!
I like this version 100 times more than the original 1986 recording.
Impresionante y bello
Impresionante. Magnífica puesta en escena
Skaisti! Paldies, ka publicējāt, pat neticās
Beautiful work
¡Impresionante! Conocí a Glass y mi concepción de la música cambio.
vēlreiz!
Congratulations! Bravissimi!
Fantástico
I personally like the Akhnaten atmosphere more.
I think Symphony No. 3: Traveling Dreams Tastes Better.
Anyway thank you for getting acquainted with this work.
Yes I too begin Liquid Days with Metamorphosis 4
Waaaa notable...
Bikaina!!!
I was very disappointed with the poor performed and over - produced original album. In this performance, Songs from Liquid Days is finally a song cycle. This is very very very good.
Interesting and beautiful, however for me in particular "Forgetting" just isn't the same without the ethereal voice of linda ronstadt.
Her voice is an essential part of "Labyrinth" from "1000 Airplanes on the Roof"
So this is Philip Glass doing covers?
Fhantastic
WOW. (!)
Nuostabus kūrinys, kaip norėčiau jį atlikti su savo choru savoje šalyje

The original score has been trasformed from a pop/rock songs cycle to a lyrical piece. I have some doubs about the operation.
que lastima se escucha tan mal
Get a better set of speakers...lol
Depende donde lo reproduzcas😉
In Steve Jobs dsys I entertain the idea that philio glass was a mac software...i love glass music.
Sorry but this interpretation is not the best.
