Never used Profusion shadows before. Got drawn in by the "succulent" floral layout, but am so far regretting the buy. Some colors are pretty and work, others give me a jaundiced look or don't perform well -- or both. I appreciate what you said about the "baby poop" color; spot on. I did make a nice look with one of the dark browns and the deep fuchsia color. I'd like to see more ideas for how to use the better shades, if you're up for it. Thanks for the video.
Yes I am totally with you! Some of the shades are pretty decent and others are just a huge fail 😩 I was also drawn in by the floral design but it seems more effort was put into the design than the actual shadows unfortunately. Tbh it’s consistent with my previous experience with profusion though…the blue shimmer that I almost used ended up being very okay, the pink shimmer is cute too but I just haven’t found any of them to look as good as the green I used here 🤷♀️ thank you so much for watching though!! 💕💕💕
I was hoping someone would do a review with this. I hate the layout of the palette, but was willing to overlook it if it was good. I guess you'll tell us if it is! LOL The brush set is cute. The look turned out well, but yeah, the shadows seem pretty lackluster. Such a bummer. Actually, I'm kind of glad it sucks because the layout makes me insane. At least the brushes are good! Green, yellow and orange are my favorite shades to wear...but that palette just isn't it.
Lol I know we’re such opposites when it comes to color schemes 😆 still, the palette was just so blah to me, even if I did prefer those tones/colors it would still be a meh palette. Especially the shimmers! They were so underwhelming lol but thank you for watching!!! 💕💕💕💕💕
@@HaleyClaire That's one of the cool things about makeup though, even if someone gravitates to colors completely opposite of what you do, it's still fun to see what they create! I think the colors you use look amazing on you and complement your eye color, so it makes perfect sense that you choose the colors you do! Yeah, this palette is a dud.
I can't afford expensive palettes due to most of my income going to medical costs. I did buy the palette but haven't used it yet. I agree the layout is really weird and very unfortunate considering you get more of some colors and less of others. However would you say the quality is decent enough to make an okay look with? Like better than the super unpigmented palettes you would find at Walmart?
You know the shades in this palette are just kinda hit or miss. Some of them work great, others are terrible lol if you’re looking for pigmented affordable palettes though then you should definitely check out jcat beauty!! They make such good stuff. I’ve got a video coming soon with one of their palettes. Milani makes really pigmented shadows as welll! Hope that helps 😊 and thanks so much for watching!! 💕💕💕
The layout is bothering me for some reason. I prefer square or circular eyeshadows. Plus, the the quantity of the shadows are not proportional; some have more than others.
Yes I agree the layout is super funky. It’s looks great but it’s functionality is limited because of that. And the different size pans are a little weird too. I was just very drawn in by the design and aesthetic of the palette but it just didn’t hit the mark for me unfortunately:/ thank you for watching though!! 💕💕💕

Exactly!! Even though the design is all unique and pretty, it might pose a challenge getting into the weird shaped pans

Sounds like you need to use a palette you really love and do a 3 or 5 look with it. Just to get you back in the groove
Yes! I’ve been thinking that I need to use my rose quartz palette more 🤩but you know I’m also loving my colourpop quads! Lol
