D.I.Y. Arrma Gorgon. 2 wheel Drive RC Monster Truck!

- In this episode of 10th Scale Garage, we get sick of waiting for the pre-order of the Arrma Gorgon and build our own version of it using an ECX Amp Crush that we threw a super budget-spec brushless system in, and set it ripping.
We attempt to get an Arrma Vorteks body that was never meant for this giant monster truck to fit, and then take it for a quick little rip! - Авто та транспорт
That thing turned out freakin cool! This is what the hobby is all about. Take it apart, mix it up, see what fits. It's cool, it's unique, and it's all yours. I too have many mashed up creations. Way to go!
I took an ECX Ruckus. Changed out the shocks and slammed it to the ground with some wide street tires (can't remember which I used) and put a Proline Ratrod body on it (made for the 3.3 Revo). It was my very first custom build. It had a mild Chinese brushless system. It took forever to paint and fit that body, but I have never been more proud of a build. I sold that thing for well more than full retail. I regret ever selling it. As far as I know the only time it was ran was me doing a quick shakedown run in my culdesac.

2wd monster trucks are much more fun than 4x4. I have a Frankenstein ECX Ruckus with a JConcepts BAJR body and 3.2 truggy wheels/ tires on 17mm hubs. 3300kv motor. It's the funnest truck I have to drive.

I put the 50s Chevy stampede body on an smt10 kit. Looks pretty cool

I put a walmart FF RC body on my amp crush and powered it with a 4s capable esc and motor combo and full metal upgrades , wheelie city
I just ordered a vortex brushed model 2 wheel drive. I’m going to make it into a speed demon with only rear wheel drive to mimic the traxxas rustler vxl original

I got that old red cat dukono chassis from you and a spare body I had laying around from my very first rc monster truck fit perfectly 👌 just had to modify the rear mounting holes

And all one off suspension modes 1 of a kind
The new gorgon is currently £180 for the ready to run but no doubt jump like the boost range to I think there now £240 ready to run
Who mounted the final location of the body? It's way off. it's too far back and the front is sitting way higher the the rear that it looks like a squater truck that was a horrible truck fad, lol. Could have looked so much better. Sorry, I have OCD x 2. 😂😂
I have some interesting news I haven't talked to you in awhile I know you live in Ohio carpet buggy racing by me in Independence Ohio it starts on November 30th to December interested check on horizon hobby get-togethers that they have for the hobby.
Very possible! Thou it is a 3-1/2 hour drive one way haha.
