It looks like you hooker up 1/2” line to the sensori regulator. You are going to lose flow volume. These high flow regulators require 3/4” from source so that you can get enough volume if all three outputs are on. Looks like you then increased back to 3/4 before volume controls. Doesn’t really help if your initial input is 1/2”.
Could he have run them between joists inside ceiling since the joists are running parallel? The units I've seen this big have a box that is mounted in ceiling first.
In general, use PEX, no extra fittings (if possible), slope the PEX downward so it drains naturally, and box in the attic piping with rigid insulation (air sealed to the attic floor). Cover whole thing with loose fill cellulose.
