If one's natural vocal placement is like the height of a person, then great technique is like putting on big ass heels lol! It's amazing and inspiring to hear how some singers are pushing the boundaries of what has been thought as possible for their types of voices, whether it's the basses singing like bright, high-set baritones or high baritones sounding like straight up tenors up there. High baritones really are lucky in that regard because with great technique they can achieve both a warm, deep lower register but also a tenor-level higher range (and the same applies to lower-set tenors wanting to sing lower)
Can we just admit that Tim Foust and David Kahn have ABSOLUTELY PERFECTED their upper range? With their LOW voices they can sound like light baritones in the 4th octave AND Davide Dalmonte has gained like 5 semitones in his upper end of chest range throughout the past year, like what
I slightly disagree about totally perfecting their upper range because there's a lot more ground they could cover if they wanted to train into that compressed rock singer setup which very few basses ever try, sadly so... However, I agree that they do sound tremendous and are great role models and inspiring singers for aspiring basses wanting to sing high well. I'm a firm believer that the low-set voices should try singing higher more, I'd love to hear a bass singing in that compressed rock setup with excellent technique. Would probably sound tremendous!
Thank you, sick of the NPC hivemind who will call anyone with a great range a tenor lmao... That myth needs to be destroyed once and for all, talk about weirdly conservative thinking

Here before the 12 year olds who will call all of them tenors because they can sing above C4
I’ve legitimately seen a comment calling the big three tenors in a compilation of them going above C4

Creo que michael spyres podria entrar aca ya que el es barítono (dicho por el mismo) aunque interpreta mas arias de tenor que de barítono 😅
I'm honored to be included! Thank you so much! Awesome video too!

Sorry, I was mistaken. The Peter barber video is not on his channel. It’s here ua-cam.com/video/bYkmR-zlnZs/v-deo.htmlsi=evplrQO_KsvXzFEk
