- What if Kakashi went after Sasuke and the Sound Four during the Sasuke retrieval arc instead of Naruto, Shikamaru, Neji, Choji, and Kiba? Kakashi vs Sound Four would have been interesting to see. We know the Sound 4 took Sasuke Uchiha away from the village and Naruto Uzumaki and his squad had to go after them, failing. Would Kakashi Hatake have succeeded?
Kidomaru, Tayuya, Sakon, and Jirobo are stronger together. Would Kakashi's Raikiri and Sharingan be able to defeat the Sound Four? What if Kimimaro showed up? What would happen in Kakashi vs Kimimaro? Would Kakashi be able to bring Sasuke back to the Leaf Village?

One thing you ignore is that Kakashi is a tracking and stealth expert. He would find the sound four first and then take them down stealthily one by one. Surprise attack all the way

I find it more funny that he gets them while they are drained, Swap the casket without any of them noticing with a dummy casket that has a tracking tag and let's them carry it back to orochimaru's hideout
Keep in mind On top of all his other skills he's also a strategic genius too
Lol I just picture Kakashi getting ahead of the Sound 4 without them realizing it. Then, he makes a shadow clone and waits... When they get into Kakashi's kill zone, Kakashi and his clone ambush them with Raikiri. Both Kakashi and his clone getting a double kill with a single Raikiri each...
That sounds cool.
Especially if he had done a bit of "recon" ahead of time to determine which of the Sound 4 would pose the biggest threat once he had given up the element of surprise. In which case, my guess is that he would choose to first take out Tayuya (due to her Genjutsu capabilities) and Sakon/Ukon (due to how dangerous their ability to fuse with an opponent's body is), and from there he'd very likely make short work of the big brute that was Jirobo (whose Earth Style jutsu would have been pretty much worthless against Kakashi's Lightning Style Raikiri/Chidori), and then he'd finish with Kidomaru, who likely would be unable to maintain enough distance from Kakashi to avoid being forced into melee combat (as opposed to Neji who didn't really have very many options for ranged combat at the time, since he was primarily a melee fighter).
It's also important to note that the Sound 4 were all technically Genin, so as a Jounin and former ANBU member, Kakashi would very likely have had far, *far* more experience than the entire team combined, let alone individually. The only one involved with the Sound 4 who likely could have at least delayed Kakashi for any length of time would probably have been Kimimaro, but I'm inclined to believe that Kakashi would still beat Kimimaro pretty decisively since Kakashi likely wouldn't even allow Kimimaro any openings to use his deadlier abilities, even if he had to face Kimimaro after first dealing with the Sound 4.

If Kakashi would of been in the village and was sent to retrieve Sasuke, it would be 4 dead ninjas and Sasuke wrapped up in a beanbag back in the village.
Honestly I don't even think Sasuke would resist. He only joined because he saw how powerful the 4 Sound Ninja were and they promised that Orichimaru could make him the same. After seeing all 4 get taken out easily by Kakashi then I'm pretty sure Sasuke would just think "Yeah, I'm in the right place to get stronger" and go back.

Orochimaru mainly gave Sasuke his high poison resistance and drugs to have his physical attributes like his speed far increased with training
Kakashi is so underrated because how overpowered every main character got towards the end but kakashi was a problem for any opponent he faced in the whole series and everyone knows him and respects him from zabuza to even power houses like pain and his deductions where the best in the whole series as he figured out each and every opponents abilities no matter how weird and rare they were without failing even once
Kakashi admitted he slacked off in shippuden because he got tired and stressed out from Anbu he didn’t start seriously training again till shippuden (chunin exam to me doesn’t count cs he didn’t show any considerable amount of growth) and by that time Naruto was mid chunin low jonin level and Sakura was in terms of medical abilities jonin level with chunin combat abilities and emo duck butt was mid to high jonin level

One of the most underrated powerhouses in all of Naruto and most fans forget about that too easily.
He fought Naruto, Lee and Gaara while sick and dying and didn’t technically lose. Before delivering the killing blow it was his illness that killed him. And Orochimaru only ever had a small handful of bodies he wanted to take as his own and Kimimaro is in the company of Itachi & Sasuke in this regard. He was skilled enough to keep Jugo under control and help take down a Kazekage. And let’s not forget that he was still just a teenager. If he grew up to be an adult then he’d be on the level of an upper tier Akatsuki or Kage, easily.

I think Kakashi would kill one right off the bat, then the other 3 would go into curse stage 2. Kakashi would then take them serious, figure out their abilites and kill them. I see him having to use lightning blade to properly kill the next 2. then just outclass the last one.

Kimimaro falls in that tier of characters I wish we saw more of, or had a knock off series that included them. Shisui, White Fang, Tobirama, and even guys like Minato deserved more. But Kimimaro was special and he would’ve been a Kisame-level fighter if he got older and didn’t get sick

@@mellothirty I wouldn’t say that much because firstly we never saw a healthy Kimimaro, the only instance we have is his fight against a weaker Rock Lee and a young Gaara. Kisame would’ve killed Rock Lee very quickly and Gaara would’ve stood no chance even late shippuden. To say a healthy Kimimaro could’ve beat the 8 tails would be a stretch at such a young age

the thing is Kakashi might've even not faced Kimimaro at all, he's very fast, Kimimaro just rendevouz with only Tayuya after half a day and after half of the travelling had been done. Kakashi would've catched up with the sound 4 way sooner and before much travelling is done, deals with the sound 4 and Kimimaro wouldn't be even near of reaching Kakashi, he can just take Sasuke back without even facing Kimimaro, and Kimimaro would just die because of his sickness, sad death but RIP Kimimaro lol
How is Kimimaru a problem? He had issues with base injured Lee. Kakashi can easily put him in a Genjutsu with eye contact or straight out blitz him and kill him with the Raikiri
The sound 4 part was so dope. With that being said they’re all getting an early grave if Kakashi is the one sent after them lol. The only one who would even be partially a threat to him is Kimimaro.
Just wanna point out that kakashi was aware about how taxing is the use of the course marks on one's stamina, which makes me think it would be very plausible of him to bait them into going full throttle from the beguining and prolongue the fight as much as possible with mind games and guerrilla tactics in order to make them waste the power surge and exaust them...
Very good point. But if you add Kimimaro to the equation it's still a very very difficult fight for Kakashi. They can even do their barrier and let Kimimaro fight against Kakashi, weakening him before he has to fight the Sound 4.

@@MrMyreus Kimimaro can't be added because he can't reach them, Kakashi reaches sound 4 so fast he might even reach them when they're still fighting genma and raidou, and a 3 vs 4, Kakashi's team wipes out the floor. This is because Sound 4 only reached kimimaro after half the travel was done, and that was accomplished after more than half a day, they departed at night, and with everything in their way, preparation to seal sasuke in the coffin, the special jounins, and the constant interruption of the genin team, way after 12 hours they barely managed to reach Kimimaro and it was only Tayuya. Kakashi reached valley of the end at non-stop travel in 1 HOUR. So, fact in those numbers, Kakashi reaches them extremely fast he might even reach them while they fight the special jounins, and even if that fight was over, Kakashi might run into them, gets quick debrief from them about their abilities, and then storms off to assasinate them now with the added advantage of prior information and another added advantage of sound 4 not even resting between both encounters, and if they abuse the curse mark again, they just outright die!.
This scenario with Kakashi is so unfair for the sound 4, that everything finishes so quickly, Kimimaro never gets a chance to be factored in this scenario, he dies a pointless and lonely death while travelling between villages due to his illness.
The Sound 4 struggled with 2 special jonin who had just finished a mission. Kakashi is easily above regular jonin

Those were Genma and Raido and were beaten badly and tought they were not human. Even shizune claims "this is bad" so not regular jonin.they told the other jonin to not chase for a reason. btw they never struggled since they had all the chakra to fight the retrieval squad. they only struggle to use the level 2 mark because it puts pressure on your body.

Last point, they struggled, if you come to the conclusion that the only way to win the fight against your opponent is using techniques or transformations that hurt yourself badly, you’re definitely struggling and the moment you have to activate it you have no way to avoid the damage, meaning you’re gonna 100% end the fight tired and hurt af which definitely means you struggled
@@bencri6248 Regular jonin means nameless guys who are not important, genma and raido were two of the personal bodyguards that minato trusted, they were even trusted to take on kakuzu and hidan. they commented them not being human not only because of their look but clearly expressing how powerful they were since you can see shizune worried about them being alive or not, if the sound 4 were beaten at this point at not that powerful why didnt genma allow the other jonin to keep following them? because he knew that was a waste of time they will be killed. and the battlefield panel scene shows how they were completly destroyed in seconds, also we know for a fact that the sound 4 managed to outlast the gennin in terms of chakra so therefore not that much chakra was wasted against genma and raido. your point about them needing to transform is more about the fact that there were more jonins around and they didnt have time to waste around with jonin.

It depends on how kishimoto feels like portraying kakashi. Kakashi is portrayed as much weaker early in the series, and he is hyped up more as the series progresses.
He was portrayed as being untouchable except to the Sanin and Kage. He went toe-to-toe with everyone he was fighting, Zabuza, Itachi, etc.
@@orrissonpereira1070 Kakashi wouldn't fight orochimaru because he didn't consider himself to be even near the same level. He didn't go toe-to-toe with itachi; itachi flattened kakashi easily. Even pre-shippuden Kabuto was said to be just as powerful as pre-shippuden kakashi. He did defeat Zabuza, but Zabuza is not in the same league as the sanin or itachi. But by the end of the series, kakashi is easily sanin level, if not higher. Kakashi is so much more powerful in the war arc where he spams the mangekyou sharingan over and over without tiring out.
@@4dojo He did match Itachi, but Kurenai was the wet blanket. Also, had he known about Mangekyo Sharingan, he could've avoided it. Kabuto held his own against the Sanin after brushing off Naruto. He is Jonin level, and Jiraiya did say 'toe-to-toe with Kakashi', but he won't beat Kakashi in a 1v1.
@@orrissonpereira1070 kakashi knew about the mangekyou sharingan when he was fighting itachi, because he had one of his own since the death of Obito. Granted, he may not have known how Itachi's mangekyou worked, but he was very aware of the danger of making eye contact with itachi. He warned everyone else not to look. But ultimately only Guy had the training needed to fight that battle.
@@4dojo He warned them because he knew normal Sharingan could cast dangerous genjutsu, but he didn't know there was another level until Itachi showed him. That's why he kept his eyes open, he thought he could handle what was coming.
people also often forget that in part 1, he didnt scale horribly against itachi either. he was the only jonin who could somewhat keep up with him, and there was a good amount of play and counter play in that fight. By no means a wipe. It was only tsukuyomi and Kakashi not being prepared for that high level mongyekyo jutsu that took him down.
Itachi barely tried with Kakashi. They were not relative to each other.

@@aceclover758 not scaling horribly =/= relative. He was obviously bellow him, but he did counter a lot of stuff, even if just barely and there was some play to it, if only on the defensive. it wasn’t just a an immediate wipe.

Kakashi's base stats are just TOO MUCH for them.
Lee without being fully recovered was matching Kimimaro's speed who already blitzed Tayuya.
Kakashi is supposed to be equally as fast as base Gai, wich means he is CONSIDERABLY faster than Lee AT LEAST.
He could use just a Kunai and cut their throats without even using his sharingan and thats IF HE DOESNT CAUGHT THEM OFF GUARD.
Kimimaro would require to use the sharingan but still sice he was matched by Lee Kakashi with a raikiri is BLITZING HIM.
Not to mention he could put him in a genjutsu.

This is actually a interesting discussion because we got to remember this was Pre Shippuden Kakashi the same Kakashi that passed out after copying 2 Jutsu and casting one Genjutsu, the same Kakashi that said his Chidori limit is 4 only twice the amount that Sasuke can use the same Kakashi that was freaking out at Land of Waves Naruto using his 0 tails cloak. Vs the Sound 4 the Group that together was able to nearly kill 2 of Minato’s personnel bodyguards. People tend to forget that the Sound 4 at no point where taking the Sasuke Retrieval Squad as actual threats. Do I think Kakashi would loose, no but do I think it would be a cake walk hell no. The sound four where beaten due to plot that is just how it is no one in the retrieval group would have lived if they fought together other then Naruto because Naruto was just that much stronger then everyone else
That was kakashi at the beginning pre Shippuden towards the end his chakra resurves and endurance had started to improve and let's not for get that kakashi already has Intel and the element of surprise against.2 those bodyguards of the 4th homage are nothing compared to kakashi and let's not forget that.The all members of the sound four had to use there curse marks and still barely made it out alive against to special jouin who they met in a random encounter 😒🙄
I think a few of them weren't actually beaten by plot. Choji had to use a suicide move to take out jirobo and Kiba lost to Sakon

Kakashi vs the sound four, well I think Kakashi would find the sound three trickier than everyone initially thinks. The sound two combined while lacking in power have a lot of utility that Kakashi has to work around but I believe Kakashi would get the better of the sound ninja and retrieve Sasuke [updating in real time]
Nah it is a cakewalk, for the following reasons: those bodyguards of Minato are nothing, being bodyguard of a guy who doesn't even need guards isn't a feat, they were there because they could use hiraishin as a team effort, nothing else. They're special jounins, meaning they're significantly weaker than jounins by default because they only have one area of expertise at jounin level, the rest being chunin level. Even them could fight, stall and force the sound 4 to use curse mark level 2 to the point they were drained, and even then, they couldn't even kill the special jounins, just retreat.
Kakashi as a full jounin, and even more because he's above an average jounin by og naruto's standards, is way above genma and raidou, he also has a skillset that totally nullifies two of the four sound ninjas. Tayuya is useless against 3 tomoe sharingan, and Jirobo is not only slow as frick but earth style against lightning?, he's not doing anything.
We also factor time here, how much time does it pass since Sasuke deserted?, yeah, not that much either. Sound 4 departed at night and nearing sunset of the next day (meaning roughly 18 hours) they barely made half the travel between konoha and valley of the end, sure they had interruptions like preparing Sasuke's second level curse mark, the fight against special jounins that lasted the whole night, and then the constant interruptions by the genin team, but those are factors here and we're taking them into account. Kakashi was stated to reach valley of the end at non-stop travel in around 1 HOUR. So get in those numbers and you'll see. If Kakashi left at night, it would've been a 3vs4 and Kakashi's team wipes the floor with Sound 4, there were even more chunin around that might've helped. If Kakashi left at morning like Shikamaru's team, he might even reach the stage of Sound 4 vs Genma and Raidou, still 3vs4 Kakashi's team wipes even more now that Sound 4 are drained. Even if the fight is over, almost no time has passed since then, KAkashi might run into his peers, get a quick debrief of sound 4's skills, and storm off to assasinate them. Also sound 4 wouldn't have rested a single bit, can't use curse mark again unless they want to outright die without Kakashi lifting a finger. Kakashi can still nullify tayuya and jirobo, and can blitz them overall under all of this conditions.
And finally, Kimimaro doesn't matter, no matter any of the two scenarios, Kimimaro is so far away from the stage that he doesn't matter, Kakashi will retrieve Sasuke by breakfast time, and Kimimaro dies a pointless death travellling between villages due to his sickness.

Interesting topic, but no doubt Kakashi being occupied was done on purpose for plot purposes. The only one I see him having an issue with is Kimimaro, but even then his experience will likely give him an advantage.
What I wanna know is would the genin have succeeded if Shino went with them as its something Shino is very upset about not being able participate in.

Combining the premises, Kimimaro vs Kakashi, with the Sound 4 and Genin team supporting each respective powerhouse, would be an amazing fight.
Raido & Genma aren't Full Jonin there Special Jonin(Chunin level with Jonin Level Abilities which is likely FTG for Raido & Genma but they can't use FTG combatively) and both were wiped from there mission and the Sound Four had to use there Curse Mark Stage 2 to defeat them I could see a Shadow clone(which we know Kakashi while fatigued can create a dozen of) of Kakashi taking them out
Late Part one Kakashi having low chakra is a very common misconseption we know Kakashi with his Sharingan active fought Sound & Sand Nin for an hour(as we know Hiruzen vs Orochimaru took an hour)
I think if its just the sound four vs Kakashi then Kakashi would win with little difficulty however if its the Sound four plus Kimimaro(which I think is an unlikely scenario to happen) Kakashi would have the literal fight of his life which in my opinion could go either way
I think that’s quite an exaggeration to say he would have to fight for his life. The Kaguya clan guy was being held up by drunk Lee before ultimately being beaten by pre-kage Gaara.

As we saw in Sasuke vs Danzo, even Elite Ninja can fall for extremly simple Genjutsu and after Kakashi Genjutsuing Zabuza in their 1st fight im pretty sure he could pull it of vs Kidomaru to connect a Raikiri and oneshot him.
The Original Sound 4 should just get blitzed and wiped by the 2 clones, Tayuya and Spider Guy cant create the distance they need and fighting Kakashi in close Quarters is a Deathwish for everyone below Guy-Level Taijutsu.

Kidomaru is a win but only 10% chance Kakashi doesn’t take at least one attack
Tayuya might last the longest if she immediately enters Stage 2, summons the Ogres(?), starts with their weird spirit attack and uses her strongest genjutsus. Kakashi wins but with great effort
Kimimaro I give a 50/50 depending on how tired Kakashi is from the others
If they all go at once and kimimaro is not as bad as he could be I think kakashi definitely got it if he really truly tries but if they just straight gank him stage 2 I think it’ll be mid-high dif for him
Kimimaro is the only one who could probably keep Kakashi on his toes, although only for a little bit. Remember that the sound 4 went all in, CS2 and all, at the same time against a worn out Raido and Genma and barely escaped with their lives, they even stated that if they hadn't used the CS2 they would've been folded right there, and we're talking about 2 featless Jonin, Kakashi is a powerhouse.
It is a cakewalk for Kakashi overall, for the following reasons: those bodyguards of Minato are nothing, Genma and Raidou, being bodyguard of a guy who doesn't even need guards isn't a feat, they were there because they could use hiraishin as a team effort, nothing else. They're special jounins, meaning they're significantly weaker than jounins by default because they only have one area of expertise at jounin level, the rest being chunin level. Even them could fight, stall and force the sound 4 to use curse mark level 2 to the point they were drained, and even then, they couldn't even kill the special jounins, just retreat. And all of this factoring in that those two special jounins were already wiped from the mission they've just done.
Kakashi as a full jounin, and even more because he's above an average jounin by og naruto's standards, is way above genma and raidou, he also has a skillset that totally nullifies two of the four sound ninjas. Tayuya is useless against 3 tomoe sharingan, and Jirobo is not only slow as frick but earth style against lightning?, he's not doing anything.
We also factor time here, how much time does it pass since Sasuke deserted?, yeah, not that much either. Sound 4 departed at night and nearing sunset of the next day (meaning roughly 18 hours) they barely made half the travel between konoha and valley of the end, sure they had interruptions like preparing Sasuke's second level curse mark, the fight against special jounins that lasted the whole night, and then the constant interruptions by the genin team, but those are factors here and we're taking them into account. Kakashi was stated to reach valley of the end at non-stop travel in around 1 HOUR. So get in those numbers and you'll see. If Kakashi left at night, it would've been a 3vs4 and Kakashi's team wipes the floor with Sound 4, there were even more chunin around that might've helped. If Kakashi left at morning like Shikamaru's team, he might even reach the stage of Sound 4 vs Genma and Raidou, still 3vs4 Kakashi's team wipes even more now that Sound 4 are drained. Even if the fight is over, almost no time has passed since then, Kakashi might run into his peers, get a quick debrief of sound 4's skills, and storm off to assasinate them. Also sound 4 wouldn't have rested a single bit, can't use curse mark again unless they want to outright die without Kakashi lifting a finger. Kakashi can still nullify tayuya and jirobo, and can blitz them overall under all of this conditions.
And finally, Kimimaro doesn't matter, no matter any of the two scenarios, Kimimaro is so far away from the stage that he doesn't matter, Kakashi will retrieve Sasuke by breakfast time, and Kimimaro dies a pointless death travellling between villages due to his sickness.
It’s really interesting also how Kimimaro’s curse mark is stated to be as strong as Sasuke’s, and Jirobo who had a weaker one was amped 10x going from stage 1 to stage 2
On top of that Kimimaro folded the sound 4 when they jumped him in their first meeting

if sound 4 were stalled and force to drain themselves with CS2 against two special jounins (which are basically chunin with just one skill at jounin level), and they couldn't even kill those special jounins, got drained and barely managed to retreat. I don't think it's a good comparison to say Kimimaro was low jounin level, because the sound 4 are not even jounin level, and they also fought against those two while those konoha ninjas were wiped out from the mission they've just done while sound 4 was at 100%. So no, sound 4 is nowhere near jounin level, so saying Kimimaro is low jounin because he defeated them, when they can't defeat two tired chunins with one jounin gimmick, it's just ridiculous.
The Sound 4 are roughly Chuunin level. Within the first arc, Kakashi already took out two Chuunins (the Demon brothers) within like 30 seconds, meanwhile protecting 3 Genins plus a VIP, and figuring out who the main target of the attack was.
The Sound 4 would probably last 5-10 minutes.... mostly just Kakashi having to chase them down as they'll be fleeing different directions.
Maybe if Kimimaro was there, it might be a bit of a challenge for Kakashi to eliminate all 5... but Sasuke would be retrieved.

short answer before watching the video: absolutely yes! Orochimaru sent the sound four to recruit Sasuke instead of plainly kidnap him BECAUSE he was afraid of Kakashi, and also they decided when to leave based on Kakashi's absence from the village! He might be a jounin at this point, but basically he is Kage-level, he didn't improved much from this point up to the point he was named 6th Hokage (although we got to see his powers better later on). I think he would beat them with pure physical abilities without using almost any chackra or without using the sharingan, as he was as powerful or more powerful then Guy in base form (without the 8 gates) in taijutsu (they compete with each other so many times and the score was almost equal, although Kakashi probably didn't fought seriously with Guy at any point). Like, Kakashi stopped both a chidory and rassengan with his bare hands earlier in the series, he is that fast and strong!

It was well established at the time the difference in power level between jounins and genins… Kakashi between his 3 students, Guy swiping away Gaara’d sand easily with one hand etc… the only question is Kimimaro… it was said that if he was healthy Orochimaru would have assassinated the third hokage without losing his hands… Kakashi could have had a hard time but he’ll make it through if Lee and Gaara did, who are wayyy weaker at that point of the story
the thing is Kakashi might've even not faced Kimimaro at all, he's very fast, Kimimaro just rendevouz with only Tayuya after half a day and after half of the travelling had been done. Kakashi would've catched up with the sound 4 way sooner and before much travelling is done, deals with the sound 4 and Kimimaro wouldn't be even near of reaching Kakashi, he can just take Sasuke back without even facing Kimimaro, and Kimimaro would just die because of his sickness, sad death but RIP Kimimaro lol

Given then two regular level Jonin, returning from a mission already worked for the day could force them to get to CS2 and they pulled out all the stops, I don't see any way for them to get Kakashi down even on his own unless it was an ambush.
Well, Kakashi is an interesting character because after watching shippuden and THEN rewatching OG Naruto, you get the sense that he was nerfed. Looking at his story in the 3rd war and ANBU, he should be way stronger in OG Naruto than what we've seen. Also, he gets his MS when Rin dies, so we cant assume he didnt have it in OG. He could not have access to it, but its also a possibility that he never faced someone powerfull enough to make him risk the loss of chakra it would take for him to use it. In the end, I think he beats the sound 4 even if they're fighting him with kimimaru because he has pretty much all the jutsus in the world, he has a sharingan and he wouldn't be fighting alone. he could use his ninja hounds to bind kimimaru like he did against zabuza. He could also use his sharingan to get kimimaru in a genjutsu and use that time to quickly kill the other 4. I think this fight would be close if we only think of his feats in OG, but after knowing the thousands of kills he did in the war and ANBU, specially thinking he would take it very seriously to rescue sasuke, I think he would win the fight
Healthy Kimimaro is a low kage level enemy, much like Zabuza. Let's not forget, he was completely fully paralyzed by his disease. Kabuto couldn't find any means to help him, not with jutsu or traditional medicine. He could barely even ease his pain. Kimimaro got up and mobilized to the battlefield purely from his own willpower. There's no way he was even close to operating at 100%. I'd be shocked if he was managing even half of his usual power.
Sasuke Retrieval Arc was just way above. The fights with the Sound 4 were insane, really loved them. Guess Kakashi would defeat them, but would be a great fight nonetheless. Wouldn't he technically be able to use his Kamui with Mangekyo if worst comes to worst?

if they were marginally fatigued like they were in this arc then it's over before it starts, if they're at full stamina then it could be tricky, but i don't see guy losing, if he has kakashi w/ him it's a gg ez

I agree with you that the whole team should fight Kakashi if they're hoping to win but if they're hoping to succeed I'd send the fastest away with Sasuke while the others stay to fight him. With this in mind the last one might last long enough to get aid from Kimimaru which would make this scenario kind of interesting but if Kakashi has ANY aid it would still be one sided. Considering he has no help though he would take out the Sound nin but with all this going there's also the thought that Kakashi would have to fight Sasuke at the end of all of this making this an exhausting mission but I have a feeling Kakashi still has it in bag in the end.
I feel like Kimimaru and the Sound 4 vs Kakashi would go a lot like the Orochimaru vs Hiruzen fight. Imagine that then the genin squad come in to support Kakashi (probably take on the Sound 4). Maybe even throw in the Sand Siblings and Kabuto pulling up too
Maybe a good way to get rid of kimimaro fast would be to trap him on a genjutsu, and land a raikiri, this way the battle against the other 4 would be much easier.

Neither Kimimaro nor Sasuke hold a candle to kakashi at any point during naruto proper. Nor naruto for that matter. Even though he is portrayed to be afraid when he met Orochimaru, if anything he is more relative to him and Jiraya than to any of the genin(curse Mark or not). He lacks stamina sure but his reaction and movement speed as well as his exp and jutsu and ocular prowess are way up there at the time. Maybe an unpopular opinion but that statement by Orochimaru that he is only as strong as kabuto has always been just a bullshit intimidation tactic. He'd wreck chunin exam kabuto.
By the way, when Hiruzen fought Orochimaru, the Sound 4 who created the barrier were either inside or outside it. They haven't been disturbed neither by Hiruzen if they were inside, nor by the whole damn village if they were outside (which I think was the case). But yeah, I get it, loads of things make no sense, because if they all did, we'd have absolutely no story whatsoever. They could've simply sent more people to retrieve Sasuke (because it was an important mission), to assist the genin against all the enemies and whatnot, but I understand compromises must be made for the plot.

I also have a feeling that Kakashi would actually use his MS on Sasuke by using Kamui to trap him in the Kamui Dimension and then using Kamui again to put Sasuke in a cell.

Hey man, I have a request for the rewriting Naruto series, Kakashi was a child prodigy genius with a 1000 jutsu, but he never felt that powerful after part 1 till the war arc, and he's my favourite character, so, yeahh, pls. I love Kakashi, but if he was fighting all of them at the same time he would have a hard time winning. However, like others have commented, it would be more likely that he would ambush them and straight up kill one or two from the start like he ambushed Kakuzu. He could win that way. But if it was four of them at the same time, plus Kimimaro I think the sound team would win. They all have pretty hax abilities.
Thank you. You seem to be the only one with common sense. Orochimaru wouldn’t have send them if they weren’t up to the task. Part 1 kakashi is not beating them plus kimimaro. I love kakashi too but he’s not beating them at the same time especially with their second state transformations. Kimimaro alone is problematic even tho he still definitely lose 1v1 but with the help of the other four they win no doubt.
@@amantejohnson6916 Tayuya genjutsu even got Itachi and Sasuke for a moment in their fight vs Kabuto, the sound four has very hax abilities. I don't think Kakashi would put himself in a position where he is fighting all of them at same time because he knows he would lose that way.

Kakashi is the greatest Jonin in the Hidden Leaf. He fought Hidan and Kakuzu 2v1 for awhile and managed to take out one of Kakuzu's hearts. While feeling pretty confident he could have beaten him even after the transformation.
Needless to say he would have beaten The Sound 4 all by himself. It would be a tricky battle though and by no means low difficulty at Pre Shippuden levels. If Kimmimaro was fighting with them it'd be a lot closer but that still wouldn't be enough to kill a Shinobi of Kakashi's caliber. While this instance happened in Shippuden. The first time we ever saw Kakashi lose a legitimate fight _(a real one on one with no interference)_ was against someone like Itachi. Before that while the fight didn't happen. It took Shinobi of Orochimaru's caliber to scare him. Someone who was so strong that with completely decayed arms, sick, dying, and on his literal death bed. He was still able to completely toy with 4 Tailed Naruto. The same form of Naruto that almost killed Jiraiya. While healthy in his Base Form he blitzed Sasori twice and essentially no sold a Shinra Tensei from Pain _(which actually scared Pain a bit)._
It was not a fight with itachi, that was a no win match for kakashi, itachi was toying with him. You flatter kakashi too much, he is great but he is not invincible, especially in part 1.
Guy was the strongest in Part 1. I doubt base Sharingan Kakashi can keep up with even 5-6 Gates Guy.
Now ofc we do see MS Kakashi keep up with 7 Gate Guy in Shippuden's War Arc but I'm talking about the base Sharingan.

Kakashi actually saw through Itachi's Genjutsu attenpt and the Fireball Jutsu trick. It would have been a much better fight in Part 2 than Part 1. Which Kakashi stated only ended the way that it did. Because he underestimated Itachi's Sharingan.

all 5 against Kakashi might be indeed problematic, but let's not forget Kakashi is not messing around with talk no jutsu. He´s going for a stealth kill (or speed blitz kill) like he used to in ANBU. He´d kill a few of them before they even notice him, and they don´t have any resurrection trick like Akatsuki members, so... It is hinted a few times that he is the best ninja actually - S ranks cannot feel his presence until it is too late, meaning no one in this group can sense him. So, 5vs1 scenario is really unlikely to happen.
He could definitely take on 3. Don't know about 4, as they worked together as a unit. He'd probably have to figure out a way to separate Kidomaru as he was the most lethal of the 4.
Shadow Clone 4 clones, each Raikiri, stab all at the same time. Easy victory.

I enjoyed the video. And it was a well reasonable explanation given (apart from the statement "Sakon was not really strong when you think about it" when in actuality he was probably the strongest of the 4 and more or less their leader without Kimimaro. The Rashomon at that point was supposedly a strong jutsu and he was able to do it. He was very durable, survivng many attacks that others wouldn't and apparently he could regenerate. He also satted he can destroy hi host's cells while in his body, which should be a very strong ability but we never really saw it as Kiba stabbed himself. Granted those abilities are undermined by his kinda silly death, but it was off-hand explained by the brothers not having much chakra left. Which also mind you is a way to tell us they probably beat Kankuro in a straight fight. Didn't he also demonstrate the cursed seal power to Sasuke to persuade him to join? So Sasuke considered him strong enough.).
Anyway I digressed I meant to say that those kind of theories, while fun are very pointless. Especially in an anime/manga like Naruto where power scaling is a joke. At the time they were introduced they were supposed to be formidable. They were supposed to be the best option Orochimaru has (and he would've definately prefered if Kimimaro was not dying to do it himself) which was later retconned to not be true but that's fine. My point being that if it was Kakashi going after them the result would've been similar to the end one since that's where the story had to go. Choji got wrecked by Dosu. Dosu is supposed to be a lot weaker than any of the sound 4. Sure Choji didn't have the ninja drugs but he was very much weaker than the sound genin. The Sound 4 were at least chunin, likely jounin (again as supposed level at that time) level. This didn't stop Choji beating one of them. Tayuya and Sakon died very stupidely, mainly because their use to the sotry was over. As the threat level they were supposed to be they should've been able to beat their opponents, even with the sand ninja help. Of course you can pull an explanation, and their personalities were a good reason why they didn't just straight up kill their opponents (from what we've seen and what was said, Sakon was definately able to kill Kiba very quick. But overconfidence and sheaningans had us have a different outocme. Which again is fine.).
Kakashi was handled by Zabuza. Zabuza was handled by simple peasants. Zabuza was a legendary swordsman...FFS. Then we had ninjas blowing up mountains. It's just how the story progressed. At that time the sound 4 were supposed to be able to be a great challenge for kakashi. They were used to set up Neji, Choji, Shika/Temari, Kankuro/KIba as very strong and important fighters for the leaf village. Yet we know how things ended up. Plans change, power scales change, stories change. The only thing we can say for sure is that the sotry had to end up with Sasuke fighting Naruto and going to Orochimaru which it would've done with Kakashi going after the sound 4 regardless. They were supposed to be very strong opponents that set up some of our characters as able to overcome massive obstacles. Alternatively they were maybe supposed to kill off some of the characters we know (very likely, considering how all but Shikamaru ended up being...underused let's say) but at the last minute plans changed. All of our characters barely won which makes me thing thet they were either supposed to die from injuries, making the stakes even higher or were very badly used as a cheap meotional moment with no wieght by the author. So if it was Kakashi instead of the genin he would've killed all of the Sound 4 and ended up in the hospital after that. How? Well the way the script says of course...same way he can beat and lose to any other ninja during the show actually. It's just the way Kishimoto writes Naruto. Power scaling is wack...one of the worst in all shounen but at least the story and the fights were cool. So thats a no issue. This is not science... it's entertainment.
I do believe he would have issues with Sakon and Yukon. The latter had kept his whole body infiltration technique a good secret until one of the two had overtaken part of Kiba. Kiba was wholly intended on killings himself in order to neutralize one of the threats until Kankuro became a dues ex machina.
Yes he could’ve. He was still superior to gaara even after his power up after the chunin exams. Idk if he could beat kimimarus final curse mark ability (I forget the name of the dance) but he would’ve held his own against kimimaru the entire time. The sound four didn’t even make kimimaru breathe hard so that should be a good enough synopsis
Kakashi have no counter for sand tsunami
1) Jirobu dies on the first second from Raikiri.
2) Tayuya's genjutsu won't work on Kakasi that well, if at all. She's easy prey for his dogs.
3) Sakon and Ukon can't ever get close to Kakashi to invade his body. What are they going to do, hide behind Rashumon forever? Kakashi has enough fire and water jutsus to deal with them. He can't put them under genjutsu though since they can interrupt each other's chakras and cancel it out.
4) Kidomaru gets one shot. Except he doesn't get one shot because the dogs smell him. His spiders would be minor annoyance.
Kakashi goes back to reading after whooping Sasuke's ass for leaving the village.
Sound 4 traps Kakashi in a 4 way barrier and Sasuke runs off giggling towards Orochimaru
The only answer for this scenario is that he fights the Sound 4, he gets exhausted then he fights Kimimaro which will make him even more exhausted and if Kimimaro does his seedling fern attack then it's GG.
The Dance of the Seedling Fern attack can be countered by using a Mud wall to launch himself into the Air which would also counter Kimimaro's ability to attack at his blind spot by merging with the bones also doing this Jutsu kills Kimimaro

I find it very unlikely Kakashi loses to this attack I think Kimimaro has other attack that would be more dangerous to Kakashi because all Kakashi has to do is survive the Bones stabbing out of the ground and at that point he has won the fight as Kimimaro canonically dies from using this Jutsu

Depending on the terrain Kakashi could use Wire Strings to pull himself up and away
Kakashi could activate the first gate(5x increase) and leap over the attack

The fact that Kakashi wasn't in the village when this happened answers this video before it even begins. He had to be away from the village for the plot to happen.
The sound 4 were all Chunin level threats that got handled by Elite Genin, safe bet says Kakashi can take them. He has the Ninken Hounds, over 1000 jutsu, a vast chakra pool and is one of the best Taijutsu users on the planet. He wins Mid diff, if Kimimaro takes them without his curse seal, I think Kakashi can take them.
If you use Kimimaro being able to Solo the sound 4 as a transitive property (if kakashi is stronger than kimimaro, and kimimaro could do it, so should kakashi) yes. If you give the Sound 4 more credit working as a team, they stomp Kakashi.
Jirobo uses earth style on the ground which makes it harder to get traction, thus limiting kakashis speed on the ground, spider dude puts webs all over from the trees, kakashi can only cut it with raikiri which would use too much chakra to constantly be using it to slap away webs. Meanwhile Tayuya is playing flute and summoning her ogres and chakra sucking tongue thing, twin dude is guarding her, even if he gets raikiri'd he just splits in half and surprises kakashi , imagine kakashi lounging in to kill tayuya, hitting twin dude instead just like haku, except this time he is alive and fuses into him. Once he takes control of him for even a second he is gonna either be in genjutsu or hit hard. Hell they could even just trap him inside a dome like they made for the hokage fight, and then proceed to shrink the barrier to a coffin size and let him run out of air or just plain crush him.
When you set up indirect obstacles for your opponent, it doesnt matter if they know what is coming, his options become limited and he will fall into a frame trap. The main reason the Sound 4 lost to Kimimaro is because they charged in and tried to beat him up with taijutsu.

people seem to forget that Kakashi faught a war when he was in Naruto's and Saske's age only to become an Unbu Caption shortly after. he has a sharingan, Kamaui, Raikeri and 1000 jutsu's that he copied during the war, summoning jutsu, etc. the guy trains with Might Guy one of the strongest Ninja's in the verse.
you have to puts things into perspective the fact that Kakashi up to this point in the story didn't face anything that required 10% of his arsenal doesn't mean he is only limited to those 10%.
The thing is:Kimmimaro only came because the sound 4 were late,Kakashi would have wiped them out wayy faster than neji Shikamaru Choji Kiba and Naruto.
Which means that Kimmimaro won't come to fight Kakashi and since Kakashi beat the sound 4 he'd just take sasuke and give him the belt treatment

Kakashi in OG Naruto was just a jonin and not some ANBU captain. Man was folded by Zabuza.
He can beat each of them one by one, but if they team up, I can see it going differently. He'll still kill them, but Sasuke will nonetheless escape. If they fight one on one, then I don't think Sasuke could escape 😂😂😂 well unless Kimimaro shows up.
People try to act like zabuza was a slouch. Zabuza was a high ranked swordsman of the mist. He was elite and one of the best water style users out there. Kakashi bodied him and was only hindered by the kids he had with him

Sound 4 in level Two Seal almost died after fighting two tired Jonin that were low on chakra, had Kakashi been there to reach them in time, it would have been a slaughter. Futhermore, there is a scene where Sound 4 were going to jump into Sasuke and Kakashi then appears to give him that conversation, the arguably stronger of the group recognized Kakashi and rejected to go until Kakashi might decide to leave the area, Tayuya called him a coward and told that of course it would be impossible for "them" to win against Kakashi except her, but still all of the group chicken out of fighting Kakashi when they reconsidered which implies that none of them was sure of facing him on.
Kakashi stands up for his reputation even for those egocentric of Sound 4 and Kabuto (stronger than the group) might have warned about him since he faced off Kakashi two times and end running away, which is also why that time it was Orochimaru who thrown away his decoy identity and went himself to check on Sasuke when he was being guarded by Kakashi, leaving also without risking a fight (though it was implied that Kakashi would have lose at that time). There is no Orochimaru's minion that could have taken Kakashi at the time, no even Kimimaro, which at much would have gave him a brief skirmish

Kakashi would annihilate the Sound 4. Sound 5 would be way closer and would be a sick fight to watch. I think whether Kakashi wins may depend on the terrain. If they are in the forest still, I think Kakashi definitely wins because he can hide and use stealth tactics. Out in the plains where Gaara fought Kimimaro… idk if he wins. He might lose. He wouldn’t go down easily even then, though.

From what I recall it was stated by kidomaru? I think, that they only know how to do trap/barrier jutsu, but from what I recall they are all individual fighters that only fought together as a team due to orichimaru or kimmimaro ordering it.

Kakashi actually did have access to his Mangekyo in part 1. He just never used it because of it's connection to Rin's death. In this scenario he might have to bust it out early.
Kimimaro would be a huge problem for Kakashi. Garra was able to outlast Kimimaro simply because Naruto fought Kimimaro with thousands of clones and Lee was able to buy some time. Without that time Kimimaro would of killed Garra who use up all his chalra and he has wat more chakra then Kakashi. Kimimaro was able to beat all the sound four by himself with ease. As four the sound four even if they knew Kakashi was coming they would still get blitz as Katashi would is very quick to discover enemies prior to meeting up with them. His black op skills make Katashi a much more dangerous hunter then the genin team that came to defeat the sound four. Katashi wont fall for any of the sound four traps and Kakashi would likely get the first kill before they can even blink.

Ehh idk, part 1 Kakashi was definitely stronger than the average jonin but I couldn’t see him taking on 4 Stage 2 Curse Mark members of the Sound 4 (or S5 if you include Kimmimaro) . Using Part 1s scaling anyways. With shippudens additional Kakashi backstory/adventures, he clears all of them , low-mid difficulty.
