I remember the Bentley Continental R type being introduced at the London Motor Show in 1952. The world’s most expensive car at that time, and the world’s fastest 4 seater road car. A great moment in history. Another brilliant video Jodie, and you actually get to drive this piece of motoring history.

Truly one of the most beautiful cars ever made!
Imagine buying this in 1953, driving it to a Silver Cities air terminal in it and you being loaded on to a Bristol Freighter aircraft for the newly launched ferry flights to Le Touquet, drive off and continue to your holiday home in the South of France!
I love the passion of both gentlemen who showed you the cars, great ambassadors for the brand. I do believe the gentleman who appeared in your previous Bentley video is even wearing a Bentley for Breitling wristwatch!
Thank you Jodie, a wonderful video!

2:48 No need to excuse yourself. The way you tear up a bit just by looking at the ladies’ pictures in the wall shows how much you respect those who came before you and opened the path for future car and racing enthusiasts. Thanks for leaving this on the final edit of your video, it’s my favorite part of a truly awesome video.

Great video of a wonderful car & awesome collection. Thank you for sharing it! Bentley of Columbus arranged for me to tour the Crewe works in 2013, and at that time the Bentley Heritage Center was in the main part of the factory. There was what appears to be an identical car to this R-Type Continental on display there. I'm just wondering if they are one and the same?

Such Beauty and Graceful lines Jodie.... The Bentley is a Delight as well!!!! lol..... It is not quite the same, but my Dad had a Rover P5b.... It drove in a similar way... Smooth and quiet, with lots of power, you were wrapped in Leather and Wood trim everywhere, I can still remember the smell...... It is a feeling you get when driving an old English classic that you just can`t replicate....... You are a very lucky Lady to be able to drive her.... Bless you Darlin..... :-))) xxx

    A heart-wrenchingly beautiful car.
Today being September 9th, 2022, seeing the picture of Queen Elizabeth II on the wall was poignant.
As they walk out of the museum we see a Bentley Rotary aero-engine, as used in the Sopwith Camel to great effect. Some mention of this early example of W O Bentley's engineering prowess could have been of interest...
    Thanks for a memorable video.

The Most Beautiful Model driving the most beautiful model???? (You May Blush now!) another great video. I’m a huge Bentley fan and have owned my Arnage for 5 1/2 years now. Still in love with it. All stems from driving with my father and seeing a Bentley and my dad saying, ‘ Now that’s a Car!’ Always loved Bentleys. My car has been in the RR & Bentley Drivers magazine twice now and the second time a 7 page full article in this months issue. Very proud! Great video Jodie. Love your enthusiasm it’s infectious.

I have been a big fan of the Bentley Continental fastback model for many years. I even have a photo in my living room of an R-type taken in Miami at Vantage Motors. Many years ago, while visiting a car showroom in Ft. Lauderdale, I found a beautiful S-type fastback with the full wood dash. The dealer wanted only $40,000 for the car and I was really tempted to use most of my savings to buy this car. The thing that stopped me fast was realizing that the Bentley Continental was so big that it just could not fit easily in my modern garage! That car would probably be worth ten times more today and would have made a great investment.

Hi Jodie . Was this recorded before the factory tour ? You were definitely enjoying that Continental the more you drove it ......you're a natural ! You must read "Spreading my wings " by Diana Barnato Walker ! I have a piston top that was given to my late twin by Mr. Arnott in the 1960's. He was , apparently the only apprentice W.O. Bentley ever employed and the piston top was a trophy . He lived his later years in Shaĺdon and was a patron of our pub , l well remember he built a fitted kitchen in our pub. I would be very happy to gift you this small item , from a 3litre. I'm sure you would appreciate it . Sadly Dougie was not aware of provenance ......he was a true gentleman , his word was his bond .....no pun intended ! I'm really serious about that piston top . Yours for the taking ! Oh and l'll send the book as well .

There was one more great coup landed with respect to the Continental GTs in this century: the Zagato limited edition ! 50 cars in toto only 7 of which were LHD! They had doubled in gray market value before even being delivered to their customers. Now they´re up there with the older Continental Rs at over a million each... Zagato...a name to remember!

My parents had a small hotel in a village during the sixties. I don't know why, but we always seemed to get more than our fair share of incredible cars in the car park. I would be in my teens at this time and always went into the bar and dropped the biggest hints I could to be taken out if there was something I lusted after was parked up; we had a couple of miles of duel carriage-way close by and I was lucky enough to be taken out in some lovely cars. A Continental came around a few times, the owner being a friend of my father. But my heavy hints never worked, I had to be satisfied with sitting on the car park fence drooling. The funny thing is I can't remember the colour, but the upholstery I can, it was a deep ox-blood; oh how I wanted to park my backside on it.
