I was lucky enough to spend about an hour with Frida and her speaking voice is just as beautiful as her singing voice. When she first spoke to me, I was rendered temporarily speechless. This song is yet another example of ABBA's extreme music ability to write and perform in a wide assortment of music categories.
Hello dear friend and Thanks for the reaction to another ABBA songs "Tropical Loveland" (1975) is a good song in your genre, reagee, and thinking that ABBA was Swedish it's very good Nice melody, Frida beautiful in leads voice and Agnetha in second voice at the end , and great chorus of Benny & Björn (I must admit that when was hearing the chorus comes in my mind regards from an old TV serie called Gilligan's Island, because I'm 64 years) these is a video of the TV Special in 'Australia 1976 There's also another perfomanece in 1975, with Agnetha playing the piano while Benny leads with the accordion As you could see, ABBA did a lot of different styles and genres in their third album ABBA: Mamma Mía is pure pop Hey hey Helen is glam rock Tropical Loveland is reagee S.O.S. is pop rock and much more That's why my suggestion is: Hey hey Helen there's only one TV perfomanece of ABBA in U.S., so interesting to see I wish you a great weekend My best regards from Buenos Aires (Argentina ) South America
Another cracking reaction. Love to see you react to some of Frida's solo stuff. In 1996, she did a stunning single and video Även en blomma from the superb album Djupa Andetag, 12 years after her last solo album. OK, it's Swedish so you don't maybe get the lyrics, but what a great song. The slightly older Frida looks stunning and elegant, the song is an incredible showcase piece. Just sayin'.
Hahaha. When you went nuts over Frida licking her fingers, I thought, "Wait a few more seconds until the banana." In all seriousness, you may be obsessed with Frida but you also clearly love ABBA as a band. You're becoming my favourite ABBA reactor 🙂
Glad you enjoyed this ! .. I thought you would, seeing as Frida does her sultry low vocals here, and I knew the banana would totally send you over the top.😅 .. Being Australian, ABBA dedicating it to us makes it just that bit more special .. But I'd have liked it anyway, because it's a happy, relaxing and beautiful piece of music .. Love it when Agnetha's high harmony comes in near the end.
1976 Australia - ABBA were here to do a little Promotional tour which included filming The Best Of ABBA TV special - this clip is taken from the International version of the show (showing Australian scenery & animals for overseas viewers) - there is an alternate (Australian) version showing this being performed in the TV studio. What a magical time it was to be an ABBA fan in Australia ☺💖 You make me laugh with your Frida reactions - good to see her being so appreciated 😁
Oh man. Did someone specifically send you the banana version or did you manage to find it out on your own? 😁 Being serious, I actually quite like this song. It's one that a lot of ABBA fans don't seem to care for, but I think it's jazzy and smooth. Frida actually has a jazz background and spent her early career as a crooner. I know you want to do ABBA first, but there's a great (live) jazz number she does called "Mad About the Boy".
I put him onto this specific video but probably others did too. All of the versions are pretty cute to this song including the one with Agnetha playing piano 🙂 so he couldn't go wrong either way.
Ha ha who wouldn't want to be in tropical loveland with Frida and Agnetha? Probably the only time I would be glad to be shipwrecked. 🤩 Looking forward to the next one and if you ever need a suggestion just ask since I have a list of all their best stuff and know what you have already reacted to.
I was already wondering why you chose this version instead of one of their live performances where you can watch Frida singing, but then I watched your reaction of her eating a banana and this was meant to be 😂😂😂😂 Btw, this is one of my favorite songs of ABBA. It’s very underrated and you’re absolutely right. They can make great songs no matter the genre.
I LOVE your reactions to ABBA😂😂😂👏👏👏. As for the song - we can hear again this amasing interlacing of the voices. One can nearly touch these vocal laces! I'm in love with these four through all my life. They are gorgeous. ONE OF A KIND.

"Tropical Loveland" (1975)
is a good song in your genre, reagee, and thinking that ABBA was Swedish it's very good

these is a video of the TV Special in 'Australia 1976
There's also another perfomanece in 1975, with Agnetha playing the piano while Benny leads with the accordion
As you could see, ABBA did a lot of different styles and genres in their third album ABBA:
Mamma Mía is pure pop
Hey hey Helen is glam rock
Tropical Loveland is reagee
S.O.S. is pop rock
and much more
That's why my suggestion is:
Hey hey Helen
there's only one TV perfomanece of ABBA in U.S., so interesting to see
I wish you a great weekend
My best regards from

This Abba TV special was so popular it was repeated on demand forever. At one stage every second household here had an Abba album. It was BLISS😍😍😍
