My dad would drop off my oldest brother at a trout stream on his way to work. He would fish all day for brookies and dad would wake up early the naxt day and cook fresh brookies for breakfast. My oldest brother isn't with us, he recently passed away. I remember him fondly telling the story of brookies for breakfast. Some day we will meet again to fish brookies.😊 Au sable light/Hurricane river is my old stompping grounds when I was a kid.

Amazing video! You do an amazing job of showing the beauty of nature and your enjoyment of the outdoors make all of your content extremly enjoyable. Wishing you the best!
Totally love this episode and your enthusiasm energy and love for the outdoors in that area . I’m a Canadian that truly loves the UP of Michigan areas that I’ve visited so far annually for the past few years and wondering if you’d like to enjoy a Canadian in one of our your short trips ?? Lmk DSKY 🇨🇦
We are from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 and just did the camping in The UP Love the Munsing area but this video is exciting to explore more of the both Lake Superior and Lake Michigan areas
Loving your videos because I know right where you are for most of them. Taking some east coast girls up to the ‘’Naw this week. Gonna do some real Yoop stuff
Oh my gosh!!! So cool!! Just found your videos and have been binge watching them and I opened this one up and see you were literally a couple miles from my house!!! I live very close to Fayette State Park!!! And lived in Manistique for 25 years! :) Love your videos and love seeing how much you enjoy doing what you do! Looking forward to watching of your adventures! :)
I’ve just discovered your channel and think it is awesome. I love your enthusiasm and joy for the outdoors. I am from upper Peninsula, Ironwood area. Hope you can make it around that area and fish Black River Harbor. Keep up the great videos, I will be watching. 😊
At 07:10 - you forgot one thing in frying-up your venison: freshly-chopped garlic. You'd be amazed how much the garlic will add to any meal! Also, when frying-up the potatoes, onions & garlic, add a little bit of olive oil.
You are the best youtuber you are the only one i like to watch because you are happy all the time. When youmare fishing you make look so fun. We go to isle royal every summer its a graet place to be. We go out there on our own boat. You should try it some time
I really enjoy your channel. I grew up between Flint and Saginaw, but our family has a place in Brimley. I've been going there my whole life. My parents ended up moving up there in 2013. My wife and I got married in 2015 and moved to Gladstone. The U.P. is absolutely amazing. Now we live in Gaylord and are buying my in laws farm in Hillman. The hunting is better on the farm, but I sure do miss the fishing in the U.P. Keep up the great work on the videos. I love your content and look forward to the next one
We used to go blueberry picking at the Sands Plains, decades ago. We could pick 100 quarts of berries in a day. We made pies, jam, syrup. Can’t do that now, but it made for great memories.
You gotta make some time to look for yooper lights when your up there next time, i spend lots of time up in that neck of the woods, thanks to you and mr olly for sharing
Nice job. I recognize most of these places. My brother wants his ashes placed in that trout stream at the shore of Lake Superior. Yes, there are some nice brookies upstream. I remember the stream before the shoreline became a park. It was full of trophies. One heads up. Be sure you give the viewers a moment or two to actually read the signs. Say the words out loud as you are editing. That will give readers of all speeds enough time. You might try the Tahquamenon above the falls near Newberry. There are a lot of nice muskies in the river. Bring extra repellent.
One of my favorite highways. Sad, that it has lost a lot of its old charm. I used to go partridge hunting with my model 97 Winchester,20" cylinder bore and it was crazy great. No dogs, kicked them up left and right. Would rotisserie them over the fire, wrapped in bacon! Damn, were they great
I planned on being in the UP all summer this year. But that didn't work out. I'm not from there but spent a lot of time there. I grew up in the cedar swamps of Blanchard Michigan.
I seen 5 bucks running together other day all in velvet. 2 were monsters, 2 were average, and the one was a dink.. The 2 giants I would love to see them when they rub the velvet off
You guys in michigan can cook your asses off. i was surprised that brook trout were only native to the northern tip of michigan. couldnt figure out why.
Did a camping tour of the U.P. last summer. Looks like a great time! But for the sake of the health of our forests, I’d refrain from moving firewood with bark.
I find my own quite often but also stay at many state parks! To be honest, most of the time I just head out and go with the flow. Many state and national park sights can be found online though!

You can’t beat Michigan blueberries.
Cheers fam.
awesome!
Let’s goooo
Love it
Hey Kyle this is hunter Greg’s son, super excited to see how big you get and how far you’ve come. Just don’t forget about me alright 😅
There is nothing better than riding Lake Michigan waves using only your body!
There are Brook trout in that stream that feeds into the lake near the Au Sable lighthouse. I’ve fished it across the road.
Love the videos! Thanks for posting. Time to do a gear load-out video!
Another great video, that brook trout stream looked fun! What kind of pan is that you hide for cooking?
That is definitely one way to put a canoe on a truck 😂 hey if it works don't fix it!
Didn’t realize you were from my home town.
Damn, were they great
Wow. Beautiful scenes. What was the name of the lake with the amazing reflections??
Hit that 👍 up.!
What he said!!
I planned on being in the UP all summer this year. But that didn't work out. I'm not from there but spent a lot of time there. I grew up in the cedar swamps of Blanchard Michigan.
Looking for a good two person tent Kyle. How do you like your Nemo? Great video by the way.
Nice
Any planned trip video for Salmon fishing? On Lake or early River Salmon?
All I can say is...........Noice!
Looks like you were in the big Gould City or close to it.
Hello me and my husband are going to Muskegon in two weeks and we are wondering what rod and what pound test line you use for salmon fishing 🎣
I seen 5 bucks running together other day all in velvet. 2 were monsters, 2 were average, and the one was a dink.. The 2 giants I would love to see them when they rub the velvet off
October will be here before we know it😁
You guys in michigan can cook your asses off. i was surprised that brook trout were only native to the northern tip of michigan. couldnt figure out why.
Any chance of telling us where that little lake is located?
The mosquito: Yooper state bird.
Michigan’s true Upper Peninsula is everything north of Hancock. Houghton is not included!
Did a camping tour of the U.P. last summer. Looks like a great time! But for the sake of the health of our forests, I’d refrain from moving firewood with bark.
Brother use your drone to drop off your baits in that cold Lake Superior
That’s an idea!!
Did you know you shouldn’t fold and roll your tent into the bag? Just simply stuff it in there, thus reducing fold seams and cause premature wear.
Need to invest in a pair of goggles😂
😂😂
Where do you find these campsites? Do you have to pay for them or are they on free public land? How do you go about planning these trips?
I find my own quite often but also stay at many state parks! To be honest, most of the time I just head out and go with the flow. Many state and national park sights can be found online though!
