i think she deserves to be put into the Hall of Fame. seriously. at that time in history, she has to this day - some legendary songs. STILL BEING PLAYED in 2023. hollywood sucks ass
As a matter of fact she should have a biographical movie based on her life and fame. She's underrated gone unrecognized all these years and I don't think she knows that her songs are still being played to this day. I was a little girl when "pump up the jam" came out and was all over my country, Peru in '90 im 34 now and I've been following this group and this woman for years. Im a die hard fan of ya kid k. I wanted to look like her sing like her etc if Hollywood made a movie based on Freddie Mercury and shit celebrities like Nicky Minaj and cardi b and Meghan the stallion they can make a movie about this icon...I'll be the first one to audition. I love her so much! They should start casting women to make a movie based on her life and fame as I mentioned early.
I agree with you, Manuella is aware of her succes, she just want to stay a bit away of all the mayhem. I asked her for an interview, wich she agreed but it is hard to join her, let's be patient.
@@JEANBRUCEnocturbulous we all women should audition to play her in a movie I'll be the first one to audition lol hahaha like that's ever gonna happen. I'm a die hard fan of hers always wanted to look like her and have her voice and sing like her. What makes her different is that she's so humble and never boasted about her success in the 90s when she joined Technotronic nor was eager or vain to be known by the whole world. She was very reserved and wanted to remain private. What a humble woman. Unlike these artists nowadays who are just shit with their music with their vulgar words in their songs. She is somewhat similar to the lead singer of A-ha he's very humble as well and didn't want much fame. These two artists deserve a biopic movie about their life like "Bohemian Rhapsody" it's the simplicity and humbleness of this woman makes people who knew her music at that time love her and seek her. I was a little girl when her music was famous
@@JEANBRUCEnocturbulous when you get to do an interview with her tell her that one of her die hard forever fans think they should do a movie about her what would she think about that?
The moment I saw Pump Up The Jam video for the first time I KNEW that Felly wasn't the singer. That was a skinny tomboy girl voice and months later when Get Up came out my guess was awarded... Felly was too big to have that voice lol
What’s crazy to me about Ya Kid K is that she is not American and yet she can mimic a black american woman voice so well. I mean I know she’s black, but still, she’s not American. I listen to her speak English and she has an accent without a doubt. I was totally fooled all these years and thought she was American. I’m totally mind blown. I’ve always have and still do have a huge crush on her. She’s got a sexy tomboy thing going on and I love her voice. There’s some relatively recent videos on UA-cam of her performing and she still sounds good and she is well into her late 40’s or early 50’s. I wish I could somehow meet her someday. I would propose to her. I love her 😊
She didn't want to promote the record. She probably thought nothing of it after having recorded it until it blew up a year later in 1990. 99.99% of dance music releases go nowhere.
Cuando el Techno y house americano entró en Europa , muchos productores genios hicieron proyectos y producciones musicales inmortales y épicas como technotronic, 2 unlimited, Snap etc.
ya kid k, what a legend
Awesome interview 🫶🔥

In the "get up" video they have Ya Kid k and the lip singer and also the producer (1:54) is playing the keys in that video.

Nice little throwback video ! Love these little documentaries on how a band got big ! I was into these guys so much !
@@doobyboy21 Yes, the time traveling machine 😍

BUT What were your feelings to see such videos such Dance music like these in 1990 ??? You're Lucky !
The best feelings ever@@kaismakhloufi5796! 80s and 90s were THE SHIT

Yes, absolutely right, and I was also amazed by the way she speaks French, I thought she was Flemish and only spoke Dutch and English.
@@JEANBRUCEnocturbulous Flemish 😉
Half of the letters on my previous post disappeared, I don't know what happened 😅@@walterverbeeck6929
@@JEANBRUCEnocturbulousShe also speaks Lingala
Not only that but her diction and annunciation was flawless.
Would be great to see these 3 perform as Technotronic again. Ya Kid K and MC Eric had the coolest sound on their songs.
Absolutely, they did some gig together a few years ago, that would be great to see them again.
Wow very fucking nice! Does anyone have interviews with Felly??
I am working on it... not easy
Sad that they felt the need to use a model for the cover and then later lip sync when Ja Kid is gorgeous 😍
In a interview Ya said she didn't want the propotion

Si, claro
Funny, in the beginning these guys dancing in the studio. Probably first had a few Duvelkes in the local café.. 🙂
What happened to Felly?
She seems to live in London now.
YaKidK is the ONE! ❤
A legend
ZAIRE + BELGIQUE = TECHNO BIRTH :::
Is there a time when this Kid is NOT weeded, lol?
Are you worried about that, do you have a weedometer? Does it work remotely or in videos like a lie detector?
