The problem isn’t the yellow being too dark it’s that yellow tends to be very translucent with very little pigment. So it just doesn’t like to cover. You’d need a ton of coats over the gray. Recommend a white primer under yellow to have an easy bright yellow. Looking forward to seeing it. Great update. Love the Jag too. I got lucky with my hood on that one.
Nice update. Thanks for sharing

👍🍀👍👍👍
Looking good Jay. Like Tom said, I'd paint one test spoon white and the other gray. Shoot your yellow over those then pick which one you like.
Thank you zip!
Cool builds! I will be back to check progress!

Jag is looking sweet Jay. Junkyard Jewel is gonna be a cool build. I agree with Tom, go with the white primer. Those big tires are awesome
Thanks Dan for looking!

Looking good Jay. The junkyard rebuilders are pretty cool. Will be following the progress on the Jimmy as well.
@@timcarson8146 thanks for stopping by Tim, I’m behind on vidios, life stuff you know, but vidio soon 🙂🏁
Those tires are really cool Jay, I use white primer with yellow, do a spoon test
Jag is looking good too, 😎👍
Thanks for the tip Tom, I’ll use the white primer!
Like everyone says, white primer works best with yellow.........have a good one buddy
Thank you Jeff!
The lighter the base colour the brighter the top coat
Thank you for visiting my channel, it seems like white primer is best!
