That was my experience with Flinthook but I actually played a bit of Wizard of legend 1

I'm worried about K8. She seems to be asleep a lot during the day and her husband keeps waking her up whenever a new roguelite comes out.
My opinion on this, not a bad game, lost a lot of the firsts uniqueness for genre standard mechanics, suffering from early access it needs more time in the oven
I was thinking similarly. I really liked how the first game looked, it was clean and impressive pixel art, and while this game certainly doesn't look bad, it's much less unique. Honestly kind of a shame that they went for this instead of continuing the art style they had before.
i do believe that the original team sold the game? or something similar, so while extremely unfortunate i think it’s better that the new team do something else instead of try and copy a game they didn’t make
Yeah new team, definitely has some generic mechanics but honestly the story re write and some other changes from the demo gives me some hope that just maybe by full release it will be a worthy sequel with there willing to make as big changes as that
Luckily by definition early access means it gets more time in said oven.
@@ashleyneku5432 On Steam they say the plan is "to remain in Early Access for at least six months". I really hope they do improve the game further, but it does not feel 6 months out from being worth $25.
In enjoyed your Wizard of Legend playthroughs. This version of Hades 3 looks alright.

I prefer the art in the first game for sure pixel art is my kryptonite
pixel art is hard on development, imagine rendering every single spell sprite than just adding shader, remember one of this game selling point is skill/spell verticality so having so many spells is hard on devs.... maybe they can implement pixel shader like in deadcells?

The reason you drink coffee at 3pm and can't fall asleep before midnight is that the metabolizing of the caffeine is a half-life (like you kept calling it). Just like a radioactive half-life, this is the time it takes your body to process HALF of the drug. People in the Steam reviews complaining about the cursor bugging out probably just need to unplug their controller first

I've had a blast playing indie games. I'm playing Vampire Survivors, Monster Train and Keeper of Legends
Indie is definitely where most of the interesting new thongs pop up. Slay the Spire, Hades, Binding of Isaac, Starder Valley... so many gems.

Ik everyones ragging on this being too similar looking to Hades but this looks pretty good. I played the OG and was pretty disappointed and ended up losing interest after beating the game once or twice, just felt like i didnt have any reason to keep playing and other play styles didnt feel as strong and varied
NL mentions you gotta impose restrictions on yourself to get replayability but to me that isn't true replayability. There are no incentives to do so that excited me personally

Saying that this game is a Hades clone is a compliment. Game looks and feels great to play. People are mad that an early access game has a few bugs, which is to be expected. Y’all seem to forget that the point of early access is to play test and support the development of the game while it’s still being made.
I'm actually mad that they threw out everything good about the first game and quartered the speed and fluidity

i don't know whats more funny, that advertisers think that personality streamers showcasing their game will equate to more sales, or that streamers will basically just talk over the game with anything completely unrelated to the game itself? i think its a combination that just makes the concept almost like a parody of itself. hilarious
I've definitely bought games from watching NL play them (poorly).
